Speedy deletion of Juan Valdez Cafe[edit]

A tag has been placed on Juan Valdez Cafe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Article Update[edit]

The article I collaborated on Colombian writer Max Vergara Poeti has been updated to include more relevant information and specific details. The improvement was made by stating specific works and translations with publishing houses and years, plus some biographical details. --Academie (talk) 22:41, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In regard to this article, I understand that you want there to be an article about César Vidal, the writer, instead of César Vidal, the musician. However, we do not need to delete the musician in order to cover the writer.

My suggestion as to what should happen in regard to our coverage of the two César Vidals is the following:

  1. Create an article about the writer at César Vidal (writer).
  2. Next, move César Vidal to César Vidal (musician).
  3. Next, César Vidal should become a disambiguation page with links to both the writer's page and the musician's page.

Note that these steps should happen in that order. Until César Vidal (writer) is created, César Vidal should be reserved for the musician. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 05:19, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

May 2009[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your article contributions, such as the edit you made to Premio Internacional de Poesía Ciudad de Melilla. This is a simple mistake to make and is easy to correct. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talk pages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thank you for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. AfD nomination of Max Vergara Poeti[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Max Vergara Poeti. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Max Vergara Poeti. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
