Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to ECM (record label). Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Oneiros (talk) 19:08, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, apologies! Amkilpatrick (talk) 09:47, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for noticing the E Luxo So edit. That may be my favorite Labradford album, and I love the credits-as-song-titles thing. I had some spare time last night so I went ahead and created it. Now we need to get some album covers on those articles. :-) Regards, --Leamanc (talk) 00:52, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

One Direction

Thank you for converting the bare links I was wondering if you could also help the One Direction 2013 World Tour page. AdabowtheSecond (talk) 02:51, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

No problem - I've converted the bare links on One Direction 2013 World Tour and also removed the reflinks template. You should check out the Reflinks tool, it's really simple to use and lets you do that sort of thing yourself in just a click. If you need any help, you can let me know! Thanks!
PS remember to make sure your edit summaries are relevant! --Amkilpatrick (talk) 07:45, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
Thanks *the more I know* AdabowtheSecond (talk) 08:00, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
Could you use reflinks tool on the main article of One Direction and Up All Night (One Direction album) please been pressed for time lately i have tried a few times now see for example the third subsection in One Direction#History on the 3D film only i didn't work Sincerely AdabowtheSecond (talk) 22:46, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
No problem, done. The easiest way to use reflinks is to the bookmarklet: just drag the 'automatic reflinks' one to your bookmarks folder/toolbar. Then when you're on a page you want to apply reflinks to, just hit that button in your bookmarks - hope that helps! --Amkilpatrick (talk) 06:39, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Reflinks

Hello I was wondering if you could help the reflinks on the Taylor Swift and One Thing (One Direction song)/Moments (One Direction song) articles, I don't edit the former article but its up for GA right now and some refs are bare, I was wondering if you work your miracle work on the refs. AdabowtheSecond (talk) 19:17, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

Done - though some links couldn't be done automatically (if they have a weird URL or they're dead links), but the majority have been filled in. Hope that helps, --Amkilpatrick (talk) 06:40, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

Some stroopwafels for you!

Someone send me this when I passed One Direction to Good article, I thought it was really nice. Thanks for all your hard work on reflinks, really appreciate it AdabowtheSecond (talk) 13:28, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:ISMB-ECCB 2013 Logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading File:ISMB-ECCB 2013 Logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 21:32, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your message, I have now included the file in the article for which it was intended and removed the orphan tag from the file itself. Let me know if there are any further queries. Thanks! --Amkilpatrick (talk) 07:17, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

ISCB Wikipedia competition — final stretch

Hi, thanks for signing up as a participant in the ISCB competition. The period for eligible edits will end on January 10 (UTC), less than one month from now. On behalf of the organizers, I would like to encourage you to move forward along this final stretch of the event, and if you have any questions or comments, I would be happy to read them on my talk page or here. Thank you. -- Daniel Mietchen (talk) 11:17, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

Article shortlisted

Dear Amkilpatrick

I am writing on behalf of the ISCB Wikipedia Computational Biology Competition judging panel to let you know that your contribution on Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology has been shortlisted. We would like to thank you for your contribution to computational biology knowledge. As part of the judging process we need you to identify yourself to us and provide proof of your status as a student or trainee. I would be grateful if you could contact me preferably by e-mail (see here for details: http://www.ebi.ac.uk/about/people/alex-bateman).

Thank you again for your entry! Alexbateman (talk) 14:06, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

Your help requested

Haplogroup E-V38, an article that you or your project may be interested in, has been nominated for a community good article reassessment. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments to the reassessment page. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status may be removed from the article. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 22:52, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

ISMB GAN

The ISMB article is in great shape, maybe you already have this planned but I'd encourage you to submit it to GAN (guess you'll still have a while for tweaks while waiting). I'm thinking we should add a GA alert panel to the WikiProject to help recruit a reviewer, would be good to have one to start it off with! benmoore 16:09, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, both sound good, best to add the alert panel before nominating at WP:GAN do you think? --Amkilpatrick (talk) 18:20, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
Good call, will put something together soon! benmoore 21:20, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
Ok so we're subscribed to article alerts here and hopefully this page will appear at some point with a more specific subset of alerts. For the time being I've transcluded the all reports on COMPBIO (currently looks like we have none), will likely move things about soon. benmoore 11:47, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
Looks good, I'll put in the nomination - I guess this will eventually filter through to the list of the WP:CB front page. Will probably post to the talk page as well. --Amkilpatrick (talk) 12:36, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
Cool, probably shouldn't refer to the WikiProject as WP:CB though :p benmoore 13:01, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
Haha, oops, I guess not! :) --Amkilpatrick (talk) 13:04, 21 July 2014 (UTC)

A quick note to say that as of this evening you're in the top ten, with 190 points - and there's three days still to go, so if you've any more to add please get them in soon :-). Thanks for the contributions! Andrew Gray (talk) 20:29, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi Andrew, thanks for your note - unfortunately I've been pretty busy with work so haven't had a chance to work on any more stubs. Great to see so many articles being expanded, though! Thanks, Amkilpatrick (talk) 07:49, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Cirt -- Cirt (talk) 12:01, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

Amkilpatrick, still one cite needed at end of third paragraph in sect Main conference. Once that's done, I'm ready to do the review. — Cirt (talk) 15:59, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the note, thought I'd got them all! I've removed that paragraph for now - I can't find a single source for that, though a look back at the keynote lists for each of the conferences individually shows the info to be correct, so it's probably bordering on OR. If I can find something it can go back in at a later date. Amkilpatrick (talk) 16:22, 30 September 2014 (UTC)

The article Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi Amkilpatrick, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Wikipedia article edit for Computational biology

Thank you for the suggestions. I will be adding a bioinformatics section to diabetic retinopathy research to the page. The content I am adding only contain computational algorithms/ bioinformatics tools, relating to the current research on how we can benefit from early screening of Diabetic Retinopathy using genomic, proteomic, and image analyses. Hello, Amkilpatrick. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, GOBLET (organization), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Onel5969 TT me 16:29, 7 December 2016 (UTC)

You are invited to join the discussion at Wikipedia:Meetup/San Diego/July 2017 Wiknic. RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 00:49, 31 May 2017 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:10x Genomics Logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The sequence assembly list

I think having a larger list especially with things for long read assembly would be a good reference point. You may have a point that the list is too long, but you really don't have any long read assembler that's used in practice (spades is the only one that's there). If you think there should be a different table with them, I'd be happy to create one. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2404:F801:8028:1:0:0:0:6FE (talk) 12:02, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for attending the ISMB/ECCB 2017 Editathon!

The file File:10x Genomics Logo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

superseded by File:10x Genomics logo.svg

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
