I have been watching the discussion on Davenport becoming a FA article and I have a few suggestions that I am expressing directly to you instead of on that page. I thought about making these changes myself but since I am fairly new at editing I will only suggest the changes. You may want to update the Dashboard as it is still displaying an old version of the article. The current one still has the flag and seal. Although it is not mandatory you may want to look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities/US Guideline for rewording and/or restructuring the headings to conform. Some of the sentences are long in length and may need to be broken up. The article has a good pictures but may be slightly right side location heavy. You may want to add the template {{As of}} in places where you state so and so holds the office of ... or anything that can be dated. I realize you update the article regularly but other editors may not be aware of that. On another subject you may be interested in [this link]. Good luck on the Davenport getting FA status.

Know how to update the Dashboard? I'm the newbie here! I bookmarked all the tools used in that toolbox for future use because I have not been able to find any list of toolserver tools. I tried without success to find a tool that will tell you the average size in bytes of an editors edits, not number of edits. If you know of one let me know. Just to clarify I believe in the right of people in general to express their personal preference in partners. The facts are that statistically 10% of the world's population prefer to be with their own sex. However I am in the 90% category.

Rating NRHP articles

Hi, CTJF83 (nice banner up there btw), I noticed that you added some project tags to a few articles written at the end of December 2010 by User:Farragutful. Examples include Edward C. Roberts House, Renwick House, Benjamin Nighswander House, and a few others that popped up in the NRHP new article result bot list. It's good that you are adding article tags to articles like these so we can keep track of just how many NRHP articles there are out there, but I don't really agree with your rating. You rated all of these articles start quality, when they should really be stub. Any article with only 2-3 sentences of content is by definition a stub. Start quality articles have more information than stubs but are still not good enough to warrant C or B class ratings. An example by the same author (which I was surprised you didn't assess) is First Presbyterian Church of Marion, Iowa. First Presbyterian Church (Muscatine, Iowa) is kind of on the border between stub and start (and you can see I assessed it stub-class). I would rate anything smaller than the FPC Muscatine article a stub and anything longer a start. I was just letting you know in case you weren't familiar with the assessment scale. I don't mean to attack or demean you in any way; this is meant solely as advice. Like I said, it's good to add project tags to these articles, but be careful when you're rating them, or the articles may not be focused on like they should be if they're already rated higher. Quality-driven editors are more likely to upgrade a stub-class article than a start-one, so it's better to rate these short two-sentence articles as stub. I'm mostly only concerned with articles listed at NRHP Scott County, Iowa, so that's why I didn't rate the other ones. If you had asked me what I would rate the two you listed, I would have bumped each up a notch. to C and Start class. I guess there is a fine line between Stub, Start, and perhaps C. I just happoened to pop in after all the vandalism by sockpuppets; sorry you had to go through that mate. My userpage was vandalized before as well when someone disagreed with something I said; I was online at the time and got the new message alert, but I didn't know it was vandalism until I checked the history after seeing nothing new; I then noticed it got reverted before I even got to the page. The guy kept trying to vandalize elsewhere as well as more attempts at my talk page, but the IP was eventually blocked. =D

That aside, on to why I'm posting. If it's not already completed (doing it as a courtesy if I can figure out which page it is), I'm recommending an edit to the header of your talk page. You say, "I WON'T be silenced now mater how much you harass me!!" - I believe you meant to say "no matter" and am fixing that. Harassment in general - no kidding. I was always the loner in school, no one wanted to involve me in anything. I started going to a different school in fourth grade and never really did fit in, and was always the one found walking around alone; I came to hate recess and didn't even want to go outside. In high school, there were specific bullies who always wanted to make sure I knew what they thought of me; one even referred to me as being in a "gay bubble" (I am not gay BTW, bullies would try to convince me otherwise). By the time I finished high school, I had no real friends moving on in my life and even today still have very few true friends. I know some good people online, but in my life, I have one real friend and am a single loner who is trying to be friendly with people, but that has its own challenges when people don't want to be friendly back.

I hear ya there...I switched schools in 7th grade, and that's when my not fitting in started. I can relate to all the other stuff you said too, and that was even when I was "straight" (LOL). Davenport, Iowa

I'm sorry, I didn't see your request a couple of weeks ago. This may be too late for whatever you were doing but I looked over the article anyway, which I like overall, and found the following:

Introductory Section:

“and Palmer College of Chiropractic, which is where the first chiropractic adjustment took place.” Actually, it took place in a building downtown that no longer exists. The college opened later.

“two major United States Highways”, should be three US highways (You list all three later on.)

Bix Beiderbecke is linked every time his name is mentioned, not only here but throughout the article.

History: I always thought LeClaire’s wife received land that is now Moline and LeClaire himself received the land on the Iowa side of the river.

Landmarks: The Freight House, I believe, is no longer an entertainment complex.

Events and Festivals: In reference to the Bix Fest: “2009 was the 39th consecutive festival.” This seems unimportant, especially because the 40th was held in 2010.

Sports and recreation: Wharton Field House is in Moline. The place at Marycrest was called “Above the Baseline” at one time. I have no idea if it’s still open. Regardless the River Hawks no longer play there, if they even exist anyomre.

Media: I would add: KGCW (The CW), their studio is in Davenport; WBQD My Network TV, they're registered as being located in Davenport, even though I don’t think anything is; KQIN (PBS) Davenport, WQPT (PBS), Moline. I don’t hope to understand KQIN, but it’s listed as being in Davenport.

Government: Now that the Iowa legislature is in session this section needs to be updated and the former members should be removed and the new members listed as such.

Education: Add Eastern Iowa Community College District, which is headquartered in Davenport and includes the Kahl Education Center.

Transportation: “The Quad City International Airport across the river in Moline, Illinois, is the closest commercial airport.” While accurate this wording makes it sound like it’s some distance away.

I double checked that and I can even though the material comes from a wiki which is similar to Wikipedia, the page states (at the bottom) "© 2011 Last.fm Ltd. All rights reserved." Stalker on Mel Odom (artist) talk page

Can you help us? Mary Cross doesnt like any edits that involve fashion doll called Mdvanii who has been an obvious inspiration for Mel Odom (artist) and Gene Marshall. He/she is also reverting any edits and doing unwanted edits regarding this issue on pages Mel Odom (artist), Gene Marshall and Mdvanii. After he/she was banned from reverting the edits she started endless chat on Mel Odom (artist) talk page clinging on to the 1990 NYT articles obvious mistake which has nothing to contribute to Mel Odom's notability. Please stop Mary Cross...he/she is obviously sabotaging the articles, trying to insist on a clear mistake made by the NYTs which has long been dealt with and the reality (Lala designed and crrated all Mdvanii makeups since the beginning) confirmed endlessly over the 22 years of Mdvaniis existance. It is clearly noted in museum catalogues (for which we have put the most recent), many articles including L'Hebdo which is like the Time magazine of Switzerland and there has never ever been mention of it in any official press releases, catalogues etc....the artists BB* & Lsala ALWAYS repeat over and over any artists involvements, such as Gruau, Alexandre de Paris, Cylde Smith etc....Odom was mentioned once and only once, by error in the NYTs in 1990 more than a year after Mdvanii was launched....all of her original catalogues, all the FAO Schwarz and Liberty of London catalogues and press releases plus the big show in Canada Grand Tra La la, none of them mention him, even the third party opinion agreed.....MAry Cross is just sabotaging the advancement of the articles.....and trying to turn a factoid (as inthe Norman Mailer definition) into history.....it was an error and recognized as such,...even by Odom himself as he said he was disappointed the make up was never used ..... I suspect he is doing it only for the purpose of stalking or challenging anything related to Mdvanii on these pages. And the endless discussion on the Mel Odom page over the tiny detail ,suprisingly, involves Mdvanii. He doesnt seem to care about Odom. Well I'm not an admin, so I can't block the user. The best I can do for you (you can also do it) is warn the user for their disruption. Either a vandalism warning, or a 3RR warning, as the situation deems necessary. I will watch the pages in question, and the user's edits, so that I may help in the warning process. I believe someone removed the MAIN aspect of what the Mdvanii artwork is albout ...

1)gay issues as a precedent in a doll/artwork

2) use of real haute couture....

ALSO, someone keeps taking out citations......and putting the abbreviated in for a b c dBold text etc but doing it incorrectly and making red citation error warnings...

It is for Isabelle Falconnier, which is cited about 6 times,...but when you add the citation link it does not make a b c d etc....it makes it appear several times, whom ever is trying to correct it is not checking and it is leaving big red error warnings. A thought . . .

I don't remember (nor does it matter) which oppose voter it was who stated you should avoid responding to every criticism, and instead let others reply for you, but you know what? I think that makes sense. It can be argued whether or not it makes you look less mature to respond to every point, but, on the other hand, I think it's above argument that you come across better when others defend you, instead of doing it yourself. It shows you have support (and clearly, you do). If someone asks you a direct question, fine, reply, but I would suggest allowing the majority who support you to do your work for you. At this point, I'm not sure if your RFA is going to pass (if it does it will be close). You've taken a lot of flack in it. It's unbelievable that the RFA process become a way for elitist users to gang up on editors and pick them apart. Some of the opposes are clearly based on rules those users made up - I mean, you can't respond to opposition. Um... Okay. But my point is, don't let any of this discourage you. My suggestion would be to seek counsel from those who opposed you in a civil manner, like some of the ones who criticized your actions at AFD, for example (not even all of those were civil, but some were). Merely removing the userbox and coming back later will give ammunition to those who oppose you, accusing you of being like a politician who will assume any position on the issues of the day, as long as said positions get him elected. Read through the RFA carefully, and attempt to discern good faith criticism, and seek not to use it to get "elected", but to learn from it, and become a wiser Wikipedian. Good luck, my friend. Ctjf83, Just a quick moral support. I was reading through all the drama at your RfA, trying to decide if I should vote or not, when you withdrew, making my vote moot. I do agree that administrators should be as neutral as possible in administrative actions, and as such their userpage should not overly-advocate any political, religious or other positions. (I.E. it doesn't matter how destructive a vandal is that you block, if they are Catholic, and see a userbox that could be perceived as anti-Catholic on your userpage, in their eyes the reason you blocked them is your anti-Catholic bias in their mind) However, I was disgusted at how rude some of the oppose votes were on this subject. I kept thinking, ok the point has been made, as long as he agrees to remove the userbox if the RfA passes, who cares. As someone who survived a particular nasty RfA, I want do tell you to not give up. Yes, tone down the user page, go back though and do a copyvio check just to be sure, and don't let the wikimob get the best of you. Take a nice wikibreak and come back stronger than ever. I just want to add my support for you here as well. I'm glad to read you're 'not going to give in to bullies'; you shouldn't have to deny who you are to become an administrator, nor should you try to. However, some people will always (as long as RFA works the way it does) oppose for stupid reasons, and there's not a lot you can do about them. My advice to you would be to try to ignore the insults, and focus on addressing the issues identified by the more civil opposes - they weren't all completely unfair. (I supported your RFA, but I do think some of the opposes raised legitimate points.) If you can gain a bit more experience and improve your editing in the relevant areas, I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to pass RFA in future, userbox or no userbox. One more thing about your userboxes =-). The images in the Dr. Pepper userboxes used are dubious. I have flagged one as a copyright violation in Commons, as it is listed as a work of the US Government (yeah right). One is a self-taken picture by you. While I believe that you did take the picture, the picture includes a registered trademark which limits the way in which the image can be used. At a minimum, the trademark must be acknowledged. Obviously, I'm sorry that things turned out as they did. And now, for some unsolicited advice.

Forget about your next RfA. I don't mean, "Don't ever jump in again", I mean, don't think about it. Focusing on it and planning for it will simply give your enemies (yes you have some, it seems) reason to be suspicious of everything you do. "Oh, he only pulled that down to get through his RfA" (kinda like how HRC changed her name in the 1980s from Rodham to Clinton to get him re-elected as governor[1]); it just made a certain group of people less trusting of her).
Try to check yourself, not so much on your userpage, but whenever you engage others in discussion of a dispute. The littlest things can be misinterpreted. For example, during your RfA, I made this post, then upon reading it, realized that my wording could unnecessarily inflame the attitude of the editor I was writing to, so I changed it to this. Did I sacrifice any of myself by doing this? Was it even necessary? Probably the answer to both questions is no, but the point is, I consciously think about how my words will be taken by others. If you do the same, you'll turn nearly all the opposes into supports next time.
Practice admin work in the area where others doubt you most. In my opinion, your interaction with other editors appears to be civil, but your reactions to some of the medieval minds at your RfA didn't let that come through. Consider becoming a part of Wikipedia:Third opinion. I don't know the first thing about it, but perhaps you could get involved in some heated disputes (to which you are not a part, of course) and show your ability to work with others.
Above all, embrace WP:AGF. Not just for show, but as an abiding principle of interaction with everyone on Wikipedia (and even RL). I've always liked Joe Biden, and even when he was caught plagiarizing in 1988 I sensed something decent about him. I finally learned what it that I liked during the 2008 VP debate, when he told the story of when he had spoken ill of Jesse Helms, about how Mike Mansfield had told Biden something about Helms that was surprising, that this jerk Helms and his wife had adopted a nine-year child with cerebral palsy. In other words, as loathsome as he found Helms' stances on issues, Helms could still be a decent person. Biden said in the debate,

I have never since that moment in my first year questioned the motive of another member of the Congress or Senate with whom I've disagreed.[2]

I can't tell you how strongly that story hit me. It is the essence of WP:AGF. It doesn't just mean avoid saying comments that impugn your opponents' motives, but presume that, like you, he too wants what is best for Wikipedia/the world/everybody. If you can really embrace that philosophy, you will never again have an experience like your RfA was. In an extreme case (like the editor that originally objected to the Userbox, and who was really the only one to indicate that your userbox was enough, by itself, to disqualify you), if you cannot conceive of any positive motivation on their part, then just don't respond. Just because it was JC (amongst others, I'm sure) who said "turn the other cheek" doesn't mean that it isn't also good advice for a gaytheist! (And hey, at least here it's just words--I'm sure that you've dealt with actual physical threat as well.)

Gaytheist Userbox

Did I invent the term? I had never heard it before, but as soon as I thought of it (it actually came to me while writing this post!) and typed it out I thought it was too good not to have been thought of before. And so it was: if you haven't googled it yet, do so--there are tons of other people who thought of it before I did.

By the way, that's the first ever userbox I've created. But I'm not happy with it. Obviously the λ is appropriate, but I couldn't think of what to do for the "atheist" portion. Strictly speaking, the struck-out chi is not really a good idea, because it's directed at a specific religion. But if you can think of a better atheist symbol that would fit in there, feel free to make the change. It may be in my user space, but it was made for you.

Hope you're feeling better with the RfA getting behind you. But all in all, I suspect you will recover from it faster than a lot of people, if for no other reason than you're probably already accustomed to taking it up the ass. Ya, sorry, you're always going to have to deal with vandalism on LGBT related articles. Just try your best to ignore the user and revert it (not violating WP:3RR though). A Wikipedia:WikiGnome, is usually a legitimate user who works behind the scenes tagging articles for clean up and doing small minor edits, like to grammar, spelling, etc. A troll, however, is not a legitimate user, and spends time ruining and disrupting Wikipedia, which is what we have here. Deletion of text from Homophobia

At least you gave a reason for the deletion, which was better than the IP. Hence my use of the word unexplained. However, my concern is that if I was to now delete every unsourced statement from the article it would become a mess. There are many more of these "mistakes" as I already made two changes, Hiawatha & Waterloo.
I used the edit summary " fixed CDT is UTC -5 not -7 " I do not know for sure but I think that this was a mistake made to all of the Iowa incorporated cites when the infoboxes were introduced. Are you up to using AWB and making hundreds of fixes? A while back I went through the List of cities in Iowa and cleaned out the bogus entries, so it should be a good list. I checked 5 counties and they were all correct so I am assuming the counties are OK. I have not checked the unincorporated communities or townships.

I seen that AWB had taken care of the problem early this morning, only seven besides the ones we fixed manually, not as many as I feared. I checked 30 or so unincorporated communities and they were all clean and the same for townships, and the counties have a different template and I did a 10 county sample and they were all okay. So I hope and think this "mistake" is fixed. On another note look at the last post on my talk page called Oskaloosa and see if you have an answer to the IP editor. If not I will have to use the helpme template as I do not have an answer.

It is important in the history of Chula Vista and im trying to expand coverage of the city for its centennial this year. There are some HTML tricks you can use to make room for a background if you're inclined. ~~For one, the colors don't have to be in the format "#FF8800"; just use one byte for each, like this: "#F80".~~That trick doesn't work on IE, apparently. If you wrap the whole thing in a tag, you can get away with not closing your tags. Here's an example with a white background (and a darker yellow), CTJF83 chat That would actually use about 30 11 bytes less than your current sig. I think you can omit quotemarks on word colors and every closing "" when inside a span-tag (), plus use color:gold (shorter than "yellow"), as: CTJF83, now with the shorter wikitext: [[User:Ctjf83|CTJF83]]. You might need one closing "/span" but not all of them. Each font color changes the prior color, "" as: "This is blue text". HTML was NOT originally designed to demand a matching end-tag "" for every font tag, but I don't know what the HTML fascists are planning.
The World Wide Web was designed by physicists, not by computer scientists, so it was peculiar that way: it allows "<center>" but not margin "<left>" or "<right>" which the center is between (so clueless). Now that computer experts are involved, it is still backward, and they should allow word "hue" (to avoid spelling bias against "colour"), plus denote non-nested tags perhaps as "<#" to use "<#span hue="red">" where the pound-sign "#" would indicate to omit the closing "/font" tag. Citing books

Hi, noticed you asked a question about citing books on the help desk. I found it a real pain, but it turns out that there's a citation template generator on Toolserver that will fill in most of a {{cite book}} template for you from an ISBN. You can then manually fill in page numbers if you need to (and watch out: sometimes it clips the last character off a book title). There are also other ones available at Wikipedia:Citation tools. Hello, Ctjf83. I am coming to you about this because I sometimes see you around on sexuality topics, LGBT topics among them. I approach you today about the Frot article, which has been a problematic article for a long time, but also one that I feel I have finally made decent; my improvements to the article have been acknowledged by others (for example, here and here). But there is one editor I cannot seem to satisfy. I have been having disputes with the editor named Mijopaalmc. This can be seen on the talk page. Basically, I feel that I am constantly improving the article (adding reliable sources, tweaking things, balancing things out, etc.) and that he is constantly hindering the article (removing reliably sourced text outright, complaining about trivial matters, nitpicking, etc.). Very recently, he has been removing the text that some frot advocates are concerned with the medical risks associated with anal sex, saying that the references don't back it up. His conclusion is false, as I explained on the talk page. The sources most definitely back up that part of the reason some frot advocates do not engage in anal sex is because of the associated health risks. Several hours ago, I reworded the bit to "diseases" instead of "health risks" and added extra reliable sources to back this up. This was done as I simultaneously fixed up the rest of the section (Debates). Mijopaalmc hasn't reverted or nitpicked again yet, but I feel that he will. If you can help out with discussions or simply watching this article, please do. I need help regarding Mijopaalmc's constant nitpicking of the article. Nothing I do ever seems to satisfy him, and I often worry of violating WP:3RR when interacting with his edits. Several hours ago, I don't feel that I violated 3RR, since I feel I was reverting vandalism; he was outright removing reliably sourced material and without a valid argument or further discussion, and I warned him of this on his talk page.

I'm just asking for help. Everything else we have tried has not truly helped, and we seriously need more editors weighing in or looking after the article. Flyer22 (talk) 17:00, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

And sure: Page 40 (to the right) of this source mentions how some gay men (whether frot advocates or otherwise partaking in some other sex act) campaign against anal sex, Bill Weintraub included. It also shows the quote from the male who specifically said one of the reasons he campaigns against anal sex is to save gay and bisexual men from HIV/AIDS, which is part of the text Mijopaalmc kept removing.

This source discusses all over why some gay men (or men who have sex with men in general) do not engage in anal sex, and mentions AIDS among the reasons; it also includes Bill Weintraub, but I know you don't feel like reading all that.

And I added two of these next three sources several hours ago (the Bill Weintraub interview was already there; I just moved it to support the text in question), also confirming that the reason some frot advocates do not engage in anal sex is due to diseases that may be acquired through the act, which is probably why Mijopaalmc hasn't yet removed the material again (as it further backs up the text he kept removing):

Here, it is made clear. It's a bit further down, where it mentions Bill Weintraub and his followers.

This source, which I only left in the article because it is an exclusive interview with Bill Weintraub, has Weintraub discussing health risks he associates with anal sex -- further down the article, but, again, I know you don't feel like reading or skimming over the article to locate what I mean there.

And then this, already there. So, basically, if Mijopaalmc removes the text again, he has even less of a valid reason to do so. Done you can change the class of the article from start to either C or B, depending on which one you feel it is based on this criteria. Anyone is free to change the class as long as it isn't to GA or FA, and as long as it is reasonable. If you insert each number you'll see that in the catgegory of Toys and Games class 21 (Jeux et Jouets) sub class 01 (making 21-01) you will find each and every reference for Billy Boy. for those specific dates when the patent and registered model was officially registered. I added the link to the citation number TEN...so any er....simple minded folks.... who don't make an effort can do it themselves more easily.....and also citation number six is a anonymous collector , not related to the artists or to myself and i imagine anyone else editing this article. This collector was showing off her early BillyBoy* Barbie dolls and wrote about them. It is a mini articlée written by a anonymous third party. Its valid. I have removed the tag. I think it is correct to remove it and if not tell me what to do please because if you do not make a real effort to read japanese, French and Spanish as I do, you may not really understand the citations. These artists are known all over the world and since 1989 this artwork Mdvanii has had a vast amount of press. Ctjf83, regarding this edit, he doesn't identify as gay or bisexual. This is why we have kept him in the LGBT category all this time, because it allows us to still categorize him as part of the community without assigning him a specific title. The same is done for a few other characters too. This is why I reverted back to the LGBT category moments ago. I mean, if the character refuses to identify as gay or bisexual, is it okay to assign them to one of those labels anyway? If anything, Dean would fit more accurately in the bisexual category, since he quite clearly has had a sexual interest in women. I let the John Paul McQueen and Craig Dean article stay in the fictional gay males category, since it is about both of them and "gay" can also describe the relationship. No problem. As you know, there are even some characters who are sexually ambiguous or their sexual orientation is heavily debated; the LGBT category is used for them as well. Marissa Cooper, Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist are examples. For, Ennis and Jack, the subject of categorizing them was recently brought up on my talk page. Spotted your note on C.Fred's talk asking him to block HellYeahPartyTime; I already got him. If you go HERE you can report him yourself any time you see him. Just scroll down to the Start an SPI case here section (or just hit the "skip to" link for "Submitting an SPI case" at the top) and replace "SOCKMASTER" with "BlueMondo131" (our sock master). A new report will open up, and you can fill in the sock names as you see them, like I did in these archived reports. Just try to be sure you have a reason that will get the admins to look at him (I personally try to be thorough), and be sure to change the "|checkuser=no" line at the top to "|checkuser=yes", as it causes the admins to use (or at least consider using) the Checkuser feature to compare the sock to the original and possibly find other hidden accounts. BlueMondo131 is as of now up to 30 known account names, only 9 of which he's actually been able to use. I gave some help with the Hudson Valley portal's panorama to help it with its Featured Portal nomination. I joined 4, yes, 4, projects, which I'm going to see what I enjoy working on. I've already been working hard with another contributer on Netball in SA[5], and helped another with a translation[6]. I had a bit of trouble with an image (a Copyright issue), but learned from it and won't make the same mistake twice. I've also took a vote in some FA nominations and articles nominated for deletion.

My rejected Referenced clips table

I really do think that the Referenced clips tables need some improvement. I don't think my idea is "cluttered" since it has more features like emboldening the episode titles' since they are what the plot of clip shows involve mostly as they are past episodes and thus, their should be emphasized. Seasons are important because they contain the episodes, like how albums contain the songs. Even the table for "Gump Roast" has a Season column on. Having the table taking up the full width makes it better aligned though I guess that it could be regular sized instead since it is too big.

Don't 100% quote me on this, but you can upload images from Fox or the DVD screenshots, because they own the images, and claim fair use. HOWEVER, per WP:NFCC #8, you need a really good reason for it, and not just, for example, Homer looking at the roof of the car and talking to god, like you uploaded before. Your images uploads come from sites that illegally stream the episodes, and they don't own the copyright, Fox does. So you don't specifically need permission from Fox, but as #8 says, "Non-free content is used only if its presence would significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding.", so you need a very good reason to upload an image. Re:Question

In Canada, there are two major networks that broadcast mostly American shows: CTV and Global (CityTV also has some). There are four major American networks, so those two split up the shows and have to fit them into their schedule. Because of this, some shows air a bit earlier than in the US, some air later. I guess Global is showing something else at 8, so they bumped The Simpsons up for those weeks. This is not new, they have been doing this for many years. I don't think Fox really has a say in this, it's either put up, or their shows don't get simulcast in Canada. Stopping by to say hi

Long time no see! Yeah, a whole day is long time. That's me trying to make a joke, if you are wondering.

So I did ask at the help desk and thanks to you I was able to solve my translation dilemma. In case you are biting your nails to know it, friars are called friars in English. The rest of the translation is going slowly, but hopefully it's getting somewhere. I finished the first paragraph yesterday, and maybe today I'll do the second one.

I've also stuck my nose here and there mediating, answering requests for comment and even participating in a wikiquette alert discussion. No idea if anything will come out of it, but let's see.

I guess you left the ball on my court and I was a little shy to kick it back, but since you did say you would be cool with either of my propositions, I thought maybe we could do both.

We could have chat session once per week or every other week and you could "train" me by sending me do something and checking on me. What would be the best time to have a chat session? For me weekends work best, because I don't have to work, but I usually have at least one free day between Monday and Friday, so we could also schedule it then. Just not on Monday on Friday because I always work on those days.

We'd probably just have to play it week by week to see the best time for us to be available. Once it gets closer to the weekend we can try and hammer out a time. One thing I noticed and suggest to you, is that you start to use edit summaries for all your edits. If one day you want to try for an admin, it will definitely bite you if you have little to no edit summary usage. Even if you don't ever want to be an admin, edit summaries every time is a good idea. It in no way needs to be elaborate. Something as simple as "+" or "fix" or "update" is enough. It just gives other users a general idea of what you did. :) CTJF83 20:43, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

I need your help with the San Marcos University article

So there's a small controversy on how to translate the name of the university into English. If you look here, two editors (one of which hadn't participated in previous discussions on the page) somehow voted and decided to change the name. The first editor actually seems to not know any Spanish, which I would think was a requirement to participate of this particular dispute. I've been uploading photos from my recent trip (Philly-Denver via Quad Cities). There will be lots in Davenport, but first I uploaded Rock Island County. I missed Black's Store, May 28, 1976, 1st Ave. 41°33′25″N 90°24′51″W Hampton, but the rest are illustrated. Any chance you can snap Black's Store? I'd say that the list would be ready for Featured List status if it had a 3 paragraph intro (maybe more).

Interested in a road trip?

Thanks again for the road pictures you've taken in the past. Right now I'm working on US 67 and I'd like a picture from Clinton. Here is the view. From right about where that car is, a picture looking down 2nd Street (straight ahead), but prominently featuring the Van Allen Building (pretty one on the left). That image has a likewise issue - it is by Walter McBride of the Retna photo agency and the image is in the same boat as Getty Images ones. That's alright, I appreciate your vigilance. I replaced the rainbow flag image (the rainbow flag appears twice in the article) with the family because it is the family law section and yet there are no pictures of LGBT families (especially problematic considering anti-LGBT rhetoric concerning "family values" which seemingly denies the existence of queer families). In fact, there isn't a single image of a person on the entire webpage. Since homophobia is often born from a disgust of the "other", I feel a few friendly faces would make the article more human and grounded. Davenport pix

I'm sorry for my backlog uploading my pix from Davenport. I'll try to get them all uploaded today and tomorrow. Please do not let my backlog prevent you from taking more pix!

I did have some problems in Davenport. My detour from my US 30 plan was a bit spur of the moment, so I didn't have a list of un-photographed sites, only the full list. So I ended up taking lots of sites already photographed. Much to my consternation, I clearly did a poor job on the already taken sites - I may upload 5-6 of these because I think they are marginally better than the current photos (please revert any changes you disagree with!), but there are more than twice as many where the current photos are clearly better. I think I must have just worn myself out, and need to concentrate more on quality than quantity.

Strange photographic behavior in Davenport

Are you familiar with what many WP:NRHP photogs do with torn down/missing buildings? They take pictures of where the building was. Strange behavior, I admit, especially if taken to excess. But it allows something of a triple check on the "missing building" and sometimes comes up with new info. If you don't approve of such behavior, feel free to ignore it, or even to revert the changes I just made to the downtown Davenport list. If my work in this regards is correct, there are 3 sites left to photograph in downtown. 1) the Bonaventure Heinz House 2 - which I never got near, as far as I can tell. 2) Club Fusion, believe it or not. See talk at Building at 813-815 W. Second Street and check out the Google Streetview. And 3) Building at 1119-1121 W. Third Street which is probably not there. I got very close at Meiser Drug Store (1115 W. 3rd) and nothing similar was around. 632 vs 636 3rd Street (see Siemer House) may be worth triple checking the sources on - maybe they made a typo, but the building at 636 seems to fit the description of 632, which is now an empty lot at its side.

If you're looking to complete the list - there are only 3 left!

The reason I asked this is cause I was trying to look to see if the Compilation albums should be added to the Hilary Duff page as I have seen many artist pages do that. LeAnn Rimes', Reba McEntire's, Brooks & Dunn's and many other artist pages do it and I've tried to add them but people kept removing them so I figured it was vandalism cause it kept getting removed.
