Proposed deletion of AT & T Building[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article AT & T Building, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. It might help if you indicated where these buildings are - I assume thy're somewhere in Arizona, but that's not apparent from the article. If they're on the National Register of Historic Places it would establish their notability. Acroterion (talk) 01:39, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Historic Places Articles[edit]

Hi, you've been making article stubs on Historic places all day, but they're usually very much just unformatted and uncategorized stubs. Would it be possible to add them in a more organized format? An example is what the E. B. Williams House now looks like. Thanks for your contributions, and please don't take this as a complaint, just a suggestion to make it even better. I'll give you a few hints. First of all, I've been adding infoboxes to the articles you've been creating, since the infobox lists a number of standard things about each National Register property. I've written an infobox generator that queries the National Register database, so you don't need to know all the details of coding. You can pull up the infoboxes by going to this link and entering the name of the city and state. Just click the "Infobox" link and copy the code into your new Wikipedia article, except you'll want to enter your own body of the article. The infobox code also adds a category or two to your article.
Second, your articles should be in relevant categories. They should be in either Category:Buildings and structures in Arizona or one of its subcategories. Don't be afraid to put your articles into multiple categories -- they should be in whatever categories are relevant.

Speedy deletion of House at 536 Park[edit]

Diagnosis: Userpagious emptiosus[edit]

WELCOME Greetings and Welcome! I noticed that your username shows up red when you post an edit -- in case you were wondering why, this is because your userpage is devoid of content. If you were to place anything at all on your userpage (text, photographs, etc.), your username would then appear blue by default. By convention, most contributing editors who intend on becoming a part of the Wikipedia family generally place information about themselves on their userpages to let people know a little about themselves. As a result, editors whose usernames are still red may (however unjustly, yet, nonetheless) appear to other editors as lacking a serious motivation in both editing Wikipedia articles as well as joining the Wikipedia community at large. Although it is not at all required, I therefore recommend that you place something on your userpage, such as information relating to your city of residence or occupation -- basically anything that will allow another editor to identify with you and peer into your mind a bit. You can check out other editors' userpages to get an idea of what is normally included (find them easiest by checking the history tab on randomly chosen yet substantial articles), and even copy/paste from other editors' userpages (modifying the information to reflect your own, of course). Hey -- sorry about the misunderstanding, but my intention was not to suggest that you should "use your actual name" instead of a pseudonym. Rather, "useyourname" was a spin on the word "username" and a recommendation that people should "use their (user)name" by including information on their userpage, rather than "not use their name" and allow it to remain red as though they just joined Wikipedia 5 minutes ago.
