Advising change of user name[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "ChutendraChodi", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because Pl. read WP:DISRUPTNAME; Your user name seem to resemble with sexual overtones from South Asian language. Such user names may send wrong impression; If you wish to be a serious contributor to Wikipedia, continued usage of the username may not be helpful in long run. A change of username at your earliest is advised. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. WP:BADNAME :.. Remember that blocking a new user is not actually something we want to do, it is something we do when it is needed to protect Wikipedia from harm. Generally, editors whose usernames are a technical or borderline violation of the Username policy should be given an opportunity to discuss the username and how they may register a new username. However, users who are reluctant to register a new username and are otherwise showing a positive history of contributions to Wikipedia should be allowed to continue editing in a positive fashion and the matter should be dropped. But this exemption does not apply to editors who have a clearly offensive username, disruptive or vandalizing edits, or edits that show a history of problematic bias or conflict of interest. .. August 2023[edit]

Information icon Hi ChutendraChodi! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Azad Kashmir that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 20:47, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Azad Kashmir, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 20:47, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! -- Toddy1 (talk) 20:48, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit reversion[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. ~~~~ S Philbrick(Talk) 12:20, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

January 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm DaxServer. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Faiz Hameed seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — DaxServer (t · m · e · c) 20:00, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from History of the Pakistan Air Force into Pakistan Air Force. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:41, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Derogatory user name[edit]

The hateful username of this person shows he's here only to carry forward propoganda of Islamist republic of Pakistan and spread hatred against Indians , where are the moderators at and why aren't they objecting to such behaviour . Abraca21 (talk) 08:48, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Abraca21, if you could please specify which South Asian language it is in, and how it is offensive, that would help. I tried finding out using a Google search and Google translate, and found nothing to indicate why the username is offensive. — Diannaa (talk) 20:39, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi , 'chut' in Hindi/Urdu refers to female private part and 'chodi' means sex . So this guy is using a deragotary name which is against the policies of Wikipedia Abraca21 (talk) 20:55, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also most of his edits are around pak army and related topics so it's a high chance he maybe a govt mouthpiece too , part of online propoganda , his name itself is made to sound like Indian PM modi but in a much derogatory way . Abraca21 (talk) 20:57, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

February 2024[edit]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, ChutendraChodi, is a policy violation; 'chut' in Hindi/Urdu refers to female private parts and 'chodi' means sex. The username is a derogatory play on the name "Narendra Modi". Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If your username is not in violation of Wikipedia's username policy, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 00:24, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
