I wasn't originally interested in anything but the formatting of Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich of Russia, but now that I look deeper, your edit history has me somewhat concerned. Unless you can provide reliable sources (not original research) for your claims on articles such as Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich of Russia or Elisabeth of Romania, you will have to accept that your additions may be removed by other editors (no matter how much you contribute to an article, you cannot own it). Is this your talk page? Where will I find individuals on my level of knowledge and experience? I do know approximately half of those here who are unaware of what I know due to the fact that they are librarians and do not get out very much. I am well aware of policies on sourcing. I have a MEd. in history and I am 60 years of age. I taught students on the university level such as yourself. I am the biographer for this lady who is 76 years of age. Her life has been extremely harsh, surviving numerous attempts on her life as well as incarceration in Buchanwald when she and Princess Mafalda of Savoy were arrested in Rome by the Gestapo. This case has thousands of documents that are not necessarily related to Elisabeth, however, I have shared her Certificate of Death, and photographs that no one has ever seen and no one has devoted their personal time and travel to obtain. I an learning how to scan them and place them here as reference. This has become a family issue as well. There is only one daughter of Elisabeth and Ana is it. Princess Ileana, the half sister of Elisabeth is the woman whotold Ana Romanova who she is. Ileana also had a difficult life and fled to the monastery where she remained for the rest of her life. If you are educated about Orthodox monastic vows you will understand that these person(s) drop their lives completely and serve God. The evidence is what it is. One does not erase an individuals life because of war and devastation. The pieces are here to be evaluated. The DNA is being posted. People go on the attack because of their lack of knowledge. Wikipedia thus far promotes only average. The edit history is active due to other editors who do not know or have little background of Elizabeth of Romania. I have spent 3 years corresponding with the royal houses of her family. They concur with what I have found. You may be concerned, however, the data base of history is not relevant to the number of times edits have been deleted simply for the poor knowledge of the editor. Editors are simply removing all that they personally are not aware of. You will one day comprehend more as you become educated on specific areas of history is this is what is to become your forte. History is but a story agreed upon. Not one have you know of Ana Romanova unless you have read the published books of Lillian Hellman and viewed her movie, "Julia" (1977) which won several Academy Awards. You are at Washington? Ana Romanova is a Grand daughter of Marie of Romania. There is a wonderful Museum, MaryHill which has many exhibits. She is in Spokane at this time. The photographs I personally own. What else should one identify with personal property? I am not a guru of Wikipedia. I will place many other thing here for you to review. No one else has taken the courtesy or professional consideration to elaborate on what type of reference(s) should be posted. There is currently, as posted above, a legal issue that will prove authenticity. In 1948 everything was destroyed. One can not make new documents that were originally prepared. The Nazi Regime actually forged many of them. The only people who know the truth is the Royal Houses themselves. They do not easily hand over secrets. The House of Hohenzollern-Sigmarigen is the only one that wishes to provide educated statement as to the truth. I am reaching out to each and every one of those that post derogatory remarks as well. One has called Ana Romanova a fraud with out even knowing her. This is the negative impact for Wikipedia and the readers. This is a life's work project for a woman that just learned of her mother. Owning IT

By the way. This all started last week, when I received personal correspondence from Michael Ilyinsky, a grandson of Dmitri Pavlovich. He insisted that he "owned it" with reference to the biography page here on Wiki. He demanded that I remove what I edited because he did not know about it. He also attacked the page overnight and wrote derogatory comments of "deception " on each paragraph. Can you imagine a 54 year old man still writing graffiti?

There are many "evil" people on Wikipedia, Clpo13. This is the issue. All readers would like to have the opportunity to know the truth. Would you be willing to assist in what materials I have to post? Would you review them in "talk". I am adding more files. The photograph of the Beach Reunion, 1937 at Ahlbeck is mine. I do own it. It was a gift from Ana Romanova. It clearly shows Elisabeth in the center, Dmitri on the right side with lion cub.

Removing whitespace can be turned off as an option, though I suppose it's mainly up to the user of AWB to make sure that the changes they make are constructive. The AWB guidelines are to avoid making changes if they don't affect the rendering of the page. Spaces in wikicode apparently don't mess with the rendering. Please, please read the policies we have on biographies of living people, reliable sources, and verifiability. We have these policies in place for a reason. No one (to my knowledge) is covering anything up, but we can't have information added to biographies without that information being clearly and concisely sourced (this is to avoid legal issues from the subjects of those biographies, which is something that Wikipedia has dealt with before). That means following the guidelines regarding inline citations, including page numbers for book references so that readers can verify that the information is accurate. For especially controversial information, multiple sources are preferred. So far, you've simply linked to the Library of Congress search page. That's not enough, I'm afraid. A proper citation would be as follows (don't use this reference; it's only an example):

Archuletta, David (2009). Odyssey of an unknown father : the complete book on wrongful adoption. Tuscon, Ariz.: Wheatmark. pp. 135–136. ISBN 9781604941616.

I'm sorry the Teahouse didn't work out for you. The best advice that I can offer is to put a concise reference to pages in your book that refer to Rosie O'Donnell's affiliation with Children of the World on her article, following the guidelines on inline citations (specifically, place <ref>Your citation...</ref> after the content you're providing a source for). Your changes have been removed in the past because they were improperly cited, and controversial information on biographies of living people can be challenged and removed if not sourced. However, be aware that even if properly cited, someone might object to the information on the grounds of undue weight or, in your case, conflict of interest, considering that the sole source of this information is a book you wrote (finding other, unrelated sources would mitigate this). However, that alone does not necessarily indicate a conflict of interest, considering that your book is not self-published and you are writing about a subject that you have (presumably) done extensive research on for your book (for basic guidelines on what constitutes a conflict of interest on Wikipedia, see Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide). If someone does challenge or remove the information after it's been properly cited, don't revert (as that can be considered edit warring and can lead to being temporarily blocked from editing). Instead, bring the issue up under a new section on the talk page of the article, laying out your reasons for why you believe the information is important enough for inclusion in her article and what sources you have to back up your claims. Be ready to answer any objections in a clear and concise manner and try to come to a consensus about what to include on the main article page. Thanks for the thanks re: Couwelaar Castle! But please don't do it that way again - translating with Google and then reporting it at WP:Pages needing translation into English. A badly translated (inaccurate or unreadable) article is worse than none, and it's hard to tell whether you've been inaccurate if you can't read the original (for example, this time Google did its usual thing of omitting bits of sentences). Instead, please do as it says at WP:Translation; either request a translation or make a stub and put an "Expand from X language" tag on it. Questions regarding article

Hi Clpo13-

I appreciate all the help with the Jean Schensul page, which is for a final class assignment. I do not have any experience with Wikipedia, so thank you for the helpful links- I've been following them to the best of my ability, but I have absolutely no experience with formatting anything more complex than a word document.

If you could be so kind, could you tell me more about the messages you left on the article? I'm not looking to get them taken away today or anything, but what is the process that needs to happen for them to eventually be lifted? My assignment is now complete, but I'd like to learn a little bit more so I can keep an eye on this page, and much of the wikipedia articles about writing wiki articles are not the most clear.

Guild of Copy Editors March 2014 backlog elimination drive wrap-up Participation: Thanks to all who participated in the drive and helped out behind the scenes. 42 people signed up for this drive and 28 of these completed at least one article. Final results are available here. Progress report: Articles tagged during the target months of December 2012 and January 2013 were reduced from 177 to 33, and the overall backlog was reduced by 13 articles. The total backlog was 2,902 articles at the end of March. On the Requests page during March, 26 copy edit requests were completed, all requests from January 2014 were completed, and the length of the queue was reduced by 11 articles. Copyright checks when performing AfC reviews

Hello Clpo13. This message is part of a mass mailing to people who appear active in reviewing articles for creation submissions. First of all, thank you for taking part in this important work! I'm sorry this message is a form letter – it really was the only way I could think of to covey the issue economically. Of course, this also means that I have not looked to see whether the matter is applicable to you in particular.

The issue is in rather large numbers of copyright violations ("copyvios") making their way through AfC reviews without being detected (even when easy to check, and even when hallmarks of copyvios in the text that should have invited a check, were glaring). A second issue is the correct method of dealing with them when discovered.

If you don't do so already, I'd like to ask for your to help with this problem by taking on the practice of performing a copyvio check as the first step in any AfC review. The most basic method is to simply copy a unique but small portion of text from the draft body and run it through a search engine in quotation marks. Trying this from two different paragraphs is recommended. (If you have any question about whether the text was copied from the draft, rather than the other way around (a "backwards copyvio"), the Wayback Machine is very useful for sussing that out.)

If you do find a copyright violation, please do not decline the draft on that basis. Copyright violations need to be dealt with immediately as they may harm those whose content is being used and expose Wikipedia to potential legal liability. If the draft is substantially a copyvio, and there's no non-infringing version to revert to, please mark the page for speedy deletion right away using {{db-g12|url=URL of source}}. If there is an assertion of permission, please replace the draft article's content with {{subst:copyvio|url=URL of source}}.

Some of the more obvious indicia of a copyvio are use of the first person ("we/our/us..."), phrases like "this site", or apparent artifacts of content written for somewhere else ("top", "go to top", "next page", "click here", use of smartquotes, etc.); inappropriate tone of voice, such as an overly informal tone or a very slanted marketing voice with weasel words; including intellectual property symbols (™,®); and blocks of text being added all at once in a finished form with no misspellings or other errors.

December 2014 GOCE newsletter

Guild of Copy Editors December 2014 Newsletter Drive: Thanks to everyone who participated in November's Backlog Elimination Drive.
