Hi

Hi there! Well the issue is that Giorgos Giakoumakis is not Romani. You can ask him personally on his own social media. He's Cretan. He's my cousin. His origin is from a village called Peza. No relation to the otherwise respected ethnic group whatsoever. Please don't add information you cannot support. Thank you in advance. Egiakou (talk) 15:31, 8 June 2023 (UTC)

@Egiakou: Provide a reliable source to support your assertion. – dudhhr talk contribs 15:37, 8 June 2023 (UTC)

This is a verified article from a verified source of a renowned newspaper in Greece that talks about the Giakoumakis family history very clearly. Egiakou (talk) 16:40, 8 June 2023 (UTC)

Further discussion about this topic is probably best held at Talk:Giorgos Giakoumakis, not here on a specific user's talk page. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:22, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

New page reviewer granted

Hi Dudhhr. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at the permissions page in case your user right is time-limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page or ask via the NPP Discord. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Steps such as checking for copyright violations using Earwig's copyright violation detector, checking for duplicate articles, and evaluating sources (both in the article, and if needed, via a Google search) for compliance with the general notability guideline are mandatory and will take a few minutes per article.
  • Please review some of our flowcharts (1, 2) to help ensure you don't forget any required steps.
  • Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. If you can read any languages other than English, please add yourself to the list of new page reviewers with language proficiencies. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 11:48, 18 August 2023 (UTC)

Namor

I happen to know you are wrong about Namor being in the 1967 Fantastic Four series because l have seen both episodes in questions and they can be found on YouTube. Namor's replacements are Gamma Ray and Prince Triton, in that order. The animators couldn't use Namor because he was being featured in another series at that time - his own.Tnarrud3 (talk) 00:09, 22 August 2023 (UTC)

@Tnarrud3: I never reverted any of your edits relating to the 1967 Fantastic Four series. – dudhhr talk/contribs 01:32, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
I have just discovered that you did. What the hell kind of source did you use?Tnarrud3 (talk) 13:23, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
You were partially right, Duddhr: Mike Road did voice a characters in the 1967 cartoon, but he did not voice Namor. He voiced Prince Triton, a substitute for Namor, for legal reasons due to Namor being animated by another company.Tnarrud3 (talk) 13:54, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
@Tnarrud: The first source for that sentence doesn't mention Triton, but the second source does. You're right with that edit. :) – dudhhr talkcontribssheher 15:44, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
@Tnarrud3: fix ping, see above – dudhhr talkcontribssheher 15:44, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

Thanks

for this. [1] Amanuensis Balkanicus (talk) 05:16, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

you're welcome. :) – dudhhr talkcontribssheher 05:43, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for the userbox :)

I don’t know if you’re the first person to use it in this way or not, but I saw {{User contrib|-1}} on your userpage and immediately wanted to steal it. So I did. Thanks for being more creative than me, and in so, coming up with a great new addition to my randomly rotating userbox :)

Best, user:A smart kittenmeow 21:09, 8 September 2023 (UTC)

@A smart kitten: I stole it from Tamzin, who has {{User contrib|0}} on her user page. – dudhhr talkcontribssheher 03:54, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
Funny, I actually stole my idea of a randomly rotating userbox from Tamzin as well. I wonder how much of userspace is just comprised of things that have been stolen from Tamzin.[Humor]
user:A smart kittenmeow 06:07, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
even funnier is that i work in copyright. should i report everyone who stole ideas from tamzin for copyvio? :) – dudhhr talkcontribssheher 06:14, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
apply {{copyvio-revdel}} to userpages liberally :) user:A smart kittenmeow 17:51, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

Mary Raine (football)

Hi, dudhhr. Please, if you don't know what you're doing, don't do it. If Diannaa, the reigning queen of copyright admins, chooses to list a page at WP:CP rather than delete it as WP:G12, that's a call that the rest of us have no need to question. But for what it's worth, I second her decision – G12 is strictly for pages with no non-copyvio content worth saving, and that is apparently not the case here (the first sentence seems to be OK). Perhaps you'd be good enough to revert your mistaken reversion there? There's already a rewrite for the page, by the way, I haven't yet checked if it's usable. Nor have I looked in detail at other contributions of the user (help with that very welcome, if you feel so inclined). Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 16:32, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

@Justlettersandnhmbers: Thank you, I have self-reverted my reversion. – dudhhr talkcontribssheher 17:16, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

Your signature

Hi, something goes wrong in your signatures. Which made a disaster on Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#San Marino at the 2024 Summer Olympics and following discussion. Looked like some <small> tags are not paired well.---Lemonaka‎ 14:54, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

@Lemonaka: I accidentally switched to my Japanese keyboard while typing a </small> tag, making it </sまっl>, which quite obviously isn't a valid tag. :) It's not an issue with my signature itself, just that I sometimes don't notice the accidental keyboard switch. – dudhhr talkcontribssheher 15:39, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

Request to reconsider deletion (and instead suggest revisions, additions, etc.)

Hello. You recently undid a change I made to a Wikipedia page. Did you consider the talk discussion about the subject before you did? If not, please read it here [2]. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.27.116.20 (talk) 20:51, 23 September 2023 (UTC)

Hi there

Hello Dudhhr,

Just wanted to make sure we're all good. Some of those messages may have been thrown around here and there. It looks like kashmiri has me as a Bronx redneck, lol. Just wanted to make sure that we are all on the talking side. Life is too short. Know what I mean? Regards, Bringingthewood (talk) 05:20, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

@Bringingthewood: Yep, all good. :) – dudhhr talkcontribssheher 14:30, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
