NFCC[edit]

Hi Entropy, I'm writing to you about your usage of File:University_of_Alberta_coat_of_arms.png on your userbox and userpage. I'm afraid that image is not free content and as such should not be used outside of mainspace, as you can read at WP:NFCC point 9. I know how nice it is to have the exact image you want for your userbox, but I'm afraid it really can't be used like this :( It would be great if you could kindly remove it, comment it out, or replace it with another, free image. Happy editing, Snowolf How can I help? 16:45, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Snowolf, I should have more carefully checked the criteria. I'll gladly modify the userbox so it no longer includes this image. —Entropy (T/C) 16:56, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much! Snowolf How can I help? 16:58, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your nomination for deletion of – Mandingo Theory[edit]

Just a note, you forgot to transclude this article in the Articles for deletion log page when you nominated it for deletion (step 3 in the subsection "How to nominate a single page for deletion.") In the future, please follow all of the required steps when nominating an article for deletion. Thank you. Northamerica1000(talk) 09:26, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Another user has transcluded the article for you. Northamerica1000(talk) 09:59, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, this is the first article I've nominated for deletion so I'm a little unfamiliar with the process. I'll be sure to complete the last step next time. —Entropy (T/C) 10:55, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Account creation tool access request[edit]

This message is to note that I have requested an account on the ACC account creation interface. —Entropy (T/C) 20:42, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![edit]

Hey, thanks for reverting the vandalism on my userpage! As entertaining as it was I prefer the way it is now, haha. —Entropy (T/C) 22:07, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your welcome! And indeed, that was one of the more "Creative" attempts to vandalism a user page. One does get bored of all the penis stuff after a few 100 of them. :) Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 22:10, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

212.159.20.160[edit]

They also vandalized Tony Stewart here, which I can't undo because of some vandalism filter. Thanks. 128.114.59.178 (talk) 23:28, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I've reverted this revision. —Entropy (T/C) 23:30, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kick B.[edit]

This is in regards to the edits which 66.199.167.58 made,on the "Kick Buttowski" main page. Do the users edits fall under the "3RR" rule? Silvershrek (talk) 01:48, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for contacting me! Looking at the user's recent edits on that page, he made six in sequence which earlier today I saw as unconstructive since they weren't sourced. Looking closer, though, I may have been harsh in reverting them all, so I've undone my own revision and instead added {{fact}} templates to the additions. With regards to your question about WP:3RR, it doesn't apply in this case because the user in question didn't actually revert anything; this rule apples mainly to edit warring where a user reverts the edits of another user three times on the same page within 24 hours. So if you were wondering if 3RR was my rationale for reverting the edits, it wasn't. Thanks again— if you have any more question let me know! —Entropy (T/C) 05:45, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A cookie for you![edit]

Much appreciated! :) —Entropy (T/C) 01:52, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Help[edit]

what is vandalism Dude ?Sabi43 (talk) 11:06, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

From Wikipedia:Vandalism: "Vandalism is any addition, removal, or change of content in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia." A lot of my contributions here involve finding and removing vandalism. —Entropy (T/C) 00:36, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I want to know that how may i put a signature image.....plzzzzzzz — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sabi43 (talkcontribs)

Theoretically, you can just insert it as part of your signature in Special:Preferences. However, this isn't something that's allowed on Wikipedia; signatures are required to be text-only. See Wikipedia:Signatures#Images. —Entropy (T/C) 00:40, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wiktionary username usurpation request[edit]

This message is to note that I am the owner of the account named Nklose on en.wiktionary.org and would like to usurp the username Entropy on that project for use with SUL. The user with that username on Wiktionary has not made any contributions. —Entropy (T/C) 06:28, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, my username on www.mediawiki.org is Ecliptica and I wish to usurp the username Entropy there as that user has only one contribution from 2007. —Entropy (T/C) 06:36, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Followup RFC to WP:RFC/AAT now in community feedback phase[edit]

Hello. As a participant in Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion article titles, you may wish to register an opinion on its followup RFC, Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion advocacy movement coverage, which is now in its community feedback phase. Please note that WP:RFC/AAMC is not simply a repeat of WP:RFC/AAT, and is attempting to achieve better results by asking a more narrowly-focused, policy-based question of the community. Assumptions based on the previous RFC should be discarded before participation, particularly the assumption that Wikipedia has or inherently needs to have articles covering generalized perspective on each side of abortion advocacy, and that what we are trying to do is come up with labels for that. Thanks! —chaos5023 20:27, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
