Edit summaries

Hi. When you add names to "day of the year" articles, or make any other edits to Wikipedia, could you please include an edit summary. Just the name would suffice. Thanks. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 11:38, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Please do not remove Biographies of Living Persons prods from an article unless it contains at least one reliable source or was created before 18 March 2010, as you did with Alexandros Tabakis. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Suharto, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. December 2011

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Sócrates, you may be blocked from editing. EchetusXe 11:27, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification

Hi. In Sacha Baron Cohen, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Baron-Cohen (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Wikipedia. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. TOTD

Tip of the day...

Please summarize your work using the Edit summary box

If you make anything other than a minor edit to an article, it helps others if you fill in the edit summary. Edit summaries are visible in the page history, watchlists, and on Recent changes, so they help other users keep track of what is happening to a page.

If you use section editing, the summary box is filled in with the section heading by default (in gray text), which you can follow with more detail. You also can put links to articles in the edit summary. Just put double brackets around [[the article title]] like you would normally. The summary is limited to 255 characters, so many people use common abbreviations, such as sp for correcting spelling mistakes, rm for remove, ce for copy-edit, etc.

It's a shame you've so far shunned ESs - is there some reason why you've done so? Trafford09 (talk) 12:24, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

Hello!

Hi Flix11, I wanted to say hello, I have seen your good work around Wikipedia, so good job! I've also noticed that you don't use edit summaries. Edit summaries are important because they let other users know why you made an edit, typing in something into the box (as shown below) can help if you remove text or make an edit that can be disputed.

Also, since Wikipedia is a collaborative effort, and this encyclopedia gets built by working together, it would be helpful if you replied to comments here on your talk page or on the talk page of other editors (you can do that by simply editing the page). You can talk to me by editing my talk page. Thanks, Quasihuman | Talk 15:45, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

Thank you

Hi and thanks for gently warning User_talk:190.174.208.143 about his/her vandalism, and for helpfully reverting it. It's nice to see you collaborating and talking to other editors - bravo.

Please have another think, though, about using Edit Summaries - thanks, Trafford09 (talk) 10:11, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

With regards to this edit please see WP:NOTBROKEN. -- PBS (talk) 23:49, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Can I again call your attention to this? While there are a few exceptions when a redirect should in fact be bypassed, it is generally neither required nor desired. This is a long-standing community consensus, please don't ignore it.
Amalthea 11:15, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
You are still making unhelpful edits (e.g. [1]). Please stop. DexDor (talk) 18:47, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

Communist symbolism

Hello, Flix. Listen, you added a statement implying that Indonesia was a communist state at some point of her history, with a link to the article Pancasila. Pancasila was an original political doctrine created by the father of Indonesia, Sukarno, and it had nothing to do with communism neither marxism. Sukarno incorporated social justice (not communism) as one of the pillars of Pancasila, and he also spoke about the necessity of creating "a national socialism" that was specific for Indonesia, thus, he was never a communist and he never embraced any type of marxism (although he had some support from the Indonesian Communist Party until 1965). I recommend you not to add speculative information like that to the articles. 190.48.118.204 (talk) 12:45, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

Request reason:

i don't read about the "fix to redirect" rule. It's absolutely my fault. I understand why did i blocked, because of my mistakes to fix to redirect. I swear it won't happened anymore. From now on, i'll edit only to fix red links, update information, and to complete on dates page (add some footballers to the "births" section according to their birthdays. About discussing, i'm sorry to not discuss first. But i'm completely busy on many schoolworks so i don't have much time to stay tuned in this site. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Flix11 (talkcontribs) 10:49, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

Accept reason:

Per request and below understanding, block no longer necessary. Amalthea 11:09, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

I understand that you are busy, but you are not alone in editing this encyclopedia. We all do it together, and for that to work, we must talk to each other.
Replying to comments or concerns really doesn't take that much time: Whenever the orange bar comes up which notifies you of a new message, read it and reply. If it's a concern about an edit of yours, avoid making similar edits until the concern is resolved. Even if it's just a notice, acknowledging it helps the other editor see that you read the notice.
Under the assumption that you will try that I will gladly unblock this account right away. Amalthea 11:06, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I just reverted your edits to this article because although Sukarno did establish a party called the PNI, it was dissolved before he became president, and he was not a member of the revived version(s). Regards Davidelit (Talk) 16:24, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
