Disambiguation link notification for March 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ice Age: Collision Course, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Drake. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Categories[edit]

Please be careful when creating new categories that there doesn't already exist a category that is serving the same purpose. For example, Category:Monster films just duplicates Category:Monster movies which already fully populated. If you use HotCat, it will alert you if the category you are looking for exists and will prompt you to select from among similarly named categories based on the words you type in. This is one way to know whether a new category is warranted.
Some of the categories you have created duplicate existing categories so I will proposing deletion at WP:CFD which you should not take personally. You are a new editor and it would be unusual if you were fully aware of the existing category structure on Wikipedia which is enormous. If you are interested in categorization, I encourage you to visit CFD and participate in some of the discussions that occur there about category renames, mergers and deletions. Liz Read! Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on An American Holiday requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Information icon Hello. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Can't Hold Us has been undone because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Based on your change, you seem to be saying the song was released in 2011 and no one had anything to say about it for two years. Then, it charted and no one seems to have mentioned how unusual it is for a song to gather dust for two years then shoot to number one.

That seems highly unlikely, as does your explanation for seeing Civil War a month early (because it will come out in your country in two more weeks). SummerPhDv2.0 14:21, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

May 2016[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Ice Age: Collision Course. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. SummerPhDv2.0 22:02, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia. Forthcoming films are a common target for vandals providing false cast lists. Without proper cites, it is nearly impossible to prevent such vandalism.

Per WP:V, one of our core policies, "any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation that directly supports the material. Any material that needs a source but does not have one may be removed." Consider this material to be challenged. If citations are not added for the material in the near future, I will remove it again. If you restore it without inline citations, you will be blocked from editing. Arguments in edit summaries to support small portions of the material are not a substitute for inline citations. SummerPhDv2.0 04:31, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:V I am challenging the material. If these characters are going to appear in this upcoming film, we need a source. I have asked for sources. I have explained why we need sources. You have stated you don't care if they do not have a source.[1] Per WP:V, "...any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation that directly supports the material. Any material that needs a source but does not have one may be removed." You will need to provide inline citations for the material or establish a consensus to override our core policy to allow this unsourced material.
As you have reverted this several times without answering why you believe this challenged material does not need inline citations, I am providing the following note regarding our edit warring policy. - SummerPhDv2.0 04:50, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Ice Age: Collision Course shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Ice Age: Collision Course. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If Crash and Eddie are going to be in the film, there should be some reliable source somewhere that supports that. We want articles to be solidly supported with verifiable information. It is better to leave things out than put stuff in that can't be verified. There is no hurry with Wikepedia articles, better take our time and get it right. Your actions have been very stubborn, and you have totally refused to listen to anyone and you had to be physically stopped by being blocked (four times!) I've seen this kind of approach a lot here with some young people, and they only start promising to behave when they're grounded - and those promises are usually empty. I suggest you take six months off and enjoy the rest of the summer (and have a great time in Bristol - it's a beautiful city), and then come back and request an unblock via the WP:Standard Offer when you're sure you can behave in a more mature manner. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Hello, Indigogate. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
