File permission problem with File:Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly of Chairlift.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly of Chairlift.jpg, which you've attributed to Tom Hines. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 07:17, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Your submission at Articles for creation: Weyes Blood (November 23)[edit]

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by KylieTastic was: Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Weyes Blood requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.allmusic.com/artist/weyes-blood-mn0002687273/biography. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Orphaned non-free image File:Feel Infinite, Album by Jacques Greene.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Feel Infinite, Album by Jacques Greene.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:52, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am working for his management company. I am working to update his profile. It is not appreciated that you have erased my work.

Please read WP:PAID and comply with it. You need a {{paid}} template on your user page. You agreed to do this when you created your account here; it is a requirement of Wikimedia:Terms of Use. Failure to comply will result in your account being blocked.
Also, don't complain about editors undoing your work. You must not make substantive changes to articles with which you have a conflict of interest. Please suggest changes on the talk page instead. If an article is still in draft space, you can do what you want, but once a reviewer accepts it and moves it to main article space, you cannot touch it anymore, except to correct minor errors such as spelling mistakes, add citations to secondary sources, and revert obvious vandalism. ~Anachronist (talk) 21:23, 14 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am not paid. I am an intern, and I am updating this page to reflect Patrick Wimberly's work as a producer, as it does not reflect his most recent creative contributions. There is no conflict of interest.

You stated you are "working for his management company" which implies you are getting paid. You don't have to be paid specifically to edit the profile. As long as you are an employee of his management company, and you are editing here as a representative (which you are), you are considered a paid editor, and you need to declare that in accordance with WP:PAID. If you cannot recognize your conflict of interest, try reading the guideline WP:COI. You have an association with the article subject, plain and simple. Therefore you have a conflict of interest.
You may change typos and other minor errors, or add citations to reliable independent secondary sources. But for anything more substantive, use the talk page. You may preface your request with the template {{request edit}} to cause your request to appear in a category list that is monitored by other editors. ~Anachronist (talk) 23:23, 14 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

My edits have to streamline MNDR's page. Featured artists and guest appearance can be put together into one seamless block, as all featured artists appearances are not singles, and all guest appearances, vice versa. In regards to Paid contributions or edits. There is no payment of any kind in regards to these edits.

Decline reason:

As explained above, you are in violation of WP:PAID. It doesn't matter if you are specifically receiving money for these edits. Yamla (talk) 20:57, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please pay attention to your edits. You keep adding collaborations to MNDR's singles section that were never released as singles (such as M-Flo's "Young & Restless", The Bird and the Bee's "We're Coming to You" and Oliver's "Falling Back"), which instead belong to the "Guest appearances" section. You also removed collaborations such as Jai Wolf's "Like It's Over" (which was released as a single) and Flume's "Like Water" without providing a reason whatsoever. Finally, if you're really here to be constructive, you're strongly advised to explain your edits in the edit summary. snapsnap (talk) 22:36, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello, first of all I'd like to apologize for my colleague's behavior regarding the edits to the Patrick Wimberly and MDNR pages. I am trying to get unblocked to edit the pages for Caroline Polachek. I am an intern with We Are Free, her management agency, and would like to iterate that I am not paid and want to make these edits to reflect her work as of February 2019. For the Caroline Polachek page, there is a lot of information that is inaccurate and out of date (for example, she married Ian Drennen in 2015 but they are no longer together and separated in 2018). We would also like to make some changes regarding her role as a co-writer with other people's songs. I would like to make these changes on her behalf, and can show you the email indicating the changes she would like to make. I can also loop in my other colleagues to prove that these are legitimate changes. If you still believe that this account is still in violation of the Conflict of Interest, Disruption of Articles, and Undisclosed Paid Editing, would you please explain to me the rationale for these suspensions? Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you. Intheair2night (talk) 17:01, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Under WP:PAID, interns are treated no differently than employees paid in cash. If you are editing on this person's behalf, it is a conflict of interest. You must comply with those policies. It is also unlikely you will be unblocked unless you agree to not directly edit about your client and tell what you will edit instead. I am declining your request

Request reason:

Ok, thanks for explaining. How do I go about indicating that it's her management company that would be posting on her page instead of her herself? All we want to do is update her page and if there's any easy way we can disclose that it's the management company that's posting, that would be very helpful. Also, I don't think I understand what you mean by "tell what you will edit." Does this mean I have to say "I would like to edit this section of her page," and then get permission from a Wikipedia administrator?

Decline reason:

You seem to be missing the point. Are you sure you have read the comments above, and read WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO, which you've been violating? We don't want the management company maintaining pages for their artists. That includes you, an intern. If you agree to refrain from conflict of interest edits and wish to write about something else entirely, something for which you do not have a conflict of interest, you are free to request an unblock. If your only goal here is to write about Caroline Polachek or other subject areas for which you have a conflict of interest, you will not be unblocked.
