Kindly Withdraw vote on Maira Khan[edit]

Some one changed whole article of Maira Khan with other actress and you and @Missvain: voted deleted that article considering false information. Checked now i revered to older version and she meets notability of wikipidea. Also check this [1], hope so you will understood whole matter. 122.8.27.197 (talk) 10:37, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

122.8.27.197 Thanks for the message. However we are not going to agree on this AfD. I have done a WP:BEFORE and I do not see that she is notable. Lightburst (talk) 17:32, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Lightburst: sorry but i am trying to explain that this article was hijacked at that time when you put your vote of delete and this article is about someone else., Please requesting you to put some efforts to know the truth. Check this article's history u will understood 196.62.189.147 (talk) 16:39, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Begging you to please check this [2] as article was hijacked with other subject in this edit and do something otherwise wikipidea will not be a safe place for good faith editors 196.62.189.147 (talk) 16:43, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Olive branch[edit]

It's good to see you back, I think we both benefited from the short break. It looks like we're moving towards consensus at List of lakes in the Washington D.C. area, I don't think our views our terribly different and I'm glad you've rejoined the discussion. For what it's worth I'm not going to pursue the page move any further since "D.C. Area" seems to be a good fit. Thanks 18:21, 12 January 2020 (UTC)

Dlthewave Nice-thanks! - I hope to work with you. I have been creating some geo articles and building articles. Now I am working on American Samoa lakes. I will call it a Draft:List of lakes in American Samoa so you can see it, and possibly help if inclined. The lakes of these islands do not receive much attention because of their spectacular ocean beaches. FYI I am trying to fill out the red links on the Template Template:Lakes in the United States. To attain an information[edit]

Hi ..... I just wanted to say you...eventhough you helped me...that page which was there safe for past 10 years unfortunately got deleted on the personal grudges of some people...anyways thank you

And I also want to know whether new page can be created. Vediad (talk) 16:14, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Vediad: Hello, the result was pretty clearly delete. I only added the deletion sorting to the AfD and I did not render an opinion. You can recreate the article, but I would caution you to only do so if you improve the article. Lightburst (talk) 23:44, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • @JJMC89: I took great care to avoid any cci. This came as a great surprise to me. I messaged you on the talk page of the article to ask that you restore the deleted material to my sandbox or somewhere that I can go through it. Thanks much! Lightburst (talk) 00:52, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Youtube copied the French Wikipedia's opening sentence in the video which made it look like the wikipedia copied the Youtube video. However it was the other way around. I think it is corrected now and I rewrote the opening sentence for good measure. I am waiting to hear from JJMC89 about the issue. Lightburst (talk) 01:34, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A heads-up[edit]

I have sent you a note about a page you started[edit]

Hello, Lightburst

Thank you for creating List of songs subject to plagiarism disputes.

User:Doomsdayer520, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Thank you for this informative new article. I am a bit confused by the "Year" column. Is this the year that a dispute was raised or first litigated? I happen to know a lot about Led Zeppelin's misdeeds in this area, and the "Year" column may cause confusion between the date of an accusation and the date of a final settlement, which could be many years later.

To reply, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Doomsdayer520}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ .

---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 21:50, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Doomsdayer520 quite a few editors have modified the list and parameters. It looks to me that the year is the original song, and then for the second song - the year is in the cell with the song name. If you think it is confusing perhaps we need to put a discussion on the talk page of the article. Lightburst (talk) 21:53, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lightburst, noticing you edited this article, just wanted to mention the name on wall reads S.W Randall Toyes Giftes. Maybe this should be mentioned in the article. :-) Lotje (talk) 06:12, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Lotje: Thanks for the message. I added a note to the AfD. If the article is not deleted we can do a page move. Lightburst (talk) 14:32, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Half Barnstar
Could not have done it without you.

Perhaps that should have been 1 ½ barnstars! Cheers. 7&6=thirteen () 18:14, 7 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! User:7&6=thirteen You are the reason edit. Your determination and your skills as an editor are an inspiration to me. I appreciate you, and together we will do our best to record history! Have a great weekend! I hope the DYK for the historic stores can succeed. Lightburst (talk) 23:04, 7 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No doubt about it. Happy weekend. 7&6=thirteen () 00:16, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Language?[edit]

Lightburst? Please stop putting an article about a financial equation into the language delsort list. That's completely inappropriate, and it's disruptive to do so. I can't fathom why you're insisting that it's anything remotely language related. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 03:39, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Deacon Vorbis: You are edit warring and now up against 3rr. Stop now. I do deletion sorting all day. You are not correct. Lightburst (talk) 03:41, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It takes two to edit war. This isn't language; why are you doing this? –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 03:42, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Deacon Vorbis: You are over the line. You should consider that you may be wrong. I do deletion sorting every day all day. It is not the major case that you are making this out to be. Take a deep breath. I believe that this terminology fits the delsort language category. Doing delsort is thankless work, and you are the first to continuously revert my deletion sorting. Please stop. Lightburst (talk) 03:47, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's at the point where I'm liable to ask for a TBAN for delsorting; I hate bringing stuff to the drama boards, but you're completely wrong here. Your "I do delsorting all the time" schtick doesn't inspire much confidence either. This...isn't...language. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 03:49, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Deacon Vorbis: In that case stay off my talk page. I am doing rather gnomish work and you are simply making my work more difficult and adding drama where there is none. Lightburst (talk) 03:53, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I see you've also mis-sorted some other things into Language, like Crackle (physics). I appreciate that you take it upon yourself to do this, but that doesn't absolve you from criticism. That you do it all the time doesn't mean you're not doinng something wrong there, and if you're making mistakes, you should listen when people tell you. These topics aren't appropriate at the Language delsort list. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 03:58, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Deacon Vorbis: Encyclopedia time is wasted in this way. Edit warring something that does not even matter. The article will either be notable or not. All of this negative energy because you have a difference of opinion steals time. Crackle is terminology. And so is Cash accumulation equation
Some Synonyms for language:
  • expression
  • jargon
  • prose
  • sound
  • speech
  • style
  • terminology this one applies
  • vocabulary
Lightburst (talk) 04:06, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Using that reasoning, everything should go on the Language list because everything is a term. You're failing to see the use–mention distinction here. Time is also wasted by editors watching delsort lists that are getting spammed by completely inappropriate listings. Listing an article about a physics concept at the Language list is no good. Listing an article about basic financial mathematics at the Language list is also no good. Please revert yourself. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 04:11, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Deacon Vorbis: this just does not matter as much as you think. I see you wanted the article deleted based on CCI. It will likely be deleted. Lets not war over an article which will likely not matter in a few days. If I am making a mistake in deletion sorting you are the only one who see it as a mistake. It really will not change the fact that the article will either be notable or not based on the WP:LOCALCONSENSUS. Are you angry that I contested the speedy CCI template? I did that as a matter of procedure. i do not have time to determine the CCI, and my thought is that others will point it out in the AfD. Lightburst (talk) 04:17, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted Climate Article[edit]

I know it's been deleted, but some editors have access to recently deleted content. Maybe you do or know someone who can help me. I'm not here to debate nor conclude anything - I would simply like to archive the article and talk page, beyond just the Archive.org version, in a form that folks can view or even edit the wiki-source onto Infogalactic.com/info/List_of_scientists_who_disagree_with_the_scientific_consensus_on_global_warming. You were first among those trying to prevent the mono-narrative purge. Maybe you can help me, point me to someone who can, or simply ping-inform me of future things to mirror before they're lost to the memory hole. Thanks for trying and thanks in advance. ~ JasonCarswell (talk) 04:41, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@JasonCarswell: Sure I found you a web archive. Lightburst (talk) 14:01, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@JasonCarswell: I already had that linked at the mirror destination. I was hoping for an editable wiki-source-code version, "beyond just the Archive.org version". Thanks though. ~ JasonCarswell (talk) 14:12, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Many mirrors exist. Some you must sign up to edit. If only an administrator would allow you a copy. Lightburst (talk) 14:15, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@JasonCarswell: Ok found you a copy, it is in my sandbox. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Lightburst/sandbox Lightburst (talk) 14:21, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much! I feel foolish for not thinking of checking other wikis. I was focused on the original. I know that "deleted" articles can sometimes be found by those who know how. (They're often too hasty to delete new articles that haven't filled out yet - and when building a new new article it can help to dig up the formerly deleted one(s).) Too bad the Talk Page is gone, but at least it's nice that it's the latest version. ~ JasonCarswell (talk) 14:42, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Also I special thanked you on the page, if that's okay. ~ JasonCarswell (talk) 14:43, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@JasonCarswell: Cheers. There is quite a lot of chatter about the deletion on Reddit etc. Lightburst (talk) 14:49, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. Also on SaidIt, a politically neutral variant, where I recently learned about it. About SaidIt.
Deletionpedia captures pages when AfDs occur: List… StrayBolt (talk) 16:02, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe you can find a "list" on one of these wikis: this one on "conservation" or this one on "fractional psychology" StrayBolt (talk) 16:43, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Closing cases on ANI[edit]

Hello, Lightburst,

If you are going to close cases on ANI, please do so carefully and accurately. Your signature should be the last thing in a summary. Also, always put {{nac}} close to your signature so that readers know that it is a non-administrator closure. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 17:00, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Liz: I dd not close any ANIs. I merely closed the discussions after administrator's already took action. So no non-admin closures were made by me. Lightburst (talk) 17:03, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
