Hi[edit]

I'm MattChatt20. I'm a follow to MattChatt18 because I had issues with my original account. Don't worry. It's the same guy, but I had to change my account. MattChatt20 (talk) 13:56, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

About content[edit]

If you need any help, ask me or another user about looking for reliable sources for articles. MattChatt20 (talk) 13:59, 10 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Aviation and articles I edit[edit]

I study aviation. Here some of the air disasters I learn about:

I also watch the hit series Mayday/Air Crash Investigation/Air Emergency/Air Disasters. I find this show really interesting. I also edit List of Mayday episodes just for improvements or copy-edits. MattChatt20 (talk) 11:23, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I also edit other articles ranging from movies and occasionally other TV shows and famous people, but aviation is probably my main obsession. MattChatt20 (talk) 10:49, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

About teahouse[edit]

Now I love to go to teahouses, but I may be busy. I try to go, but I got work to do. There may be a chance in the future I could go to a teahouse. MattChatt20 (talk) 10:07, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock Request[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

MattChatt20 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I have been blocked for a week and I feel like I've learned my lesson. I understand vandalism is bad and I'm sorry. I will not do it again. I promise.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 15:38, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Another unblock attempt[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

MattChatt20 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I got blocked from editing because I did some vandalism on Talk:List of Mayday episodes on the 4th and 5th of August while logged out. I just want to say I'm sorry. I will contribute politely and not vandalise again. I know what I did is wrong and I want to edit again without vandalising while being logged out. Thank you. MattChatt20 (talk) 16:26, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I'm not going to comment on what edits you may or may not have made. For one thing, the site's privacy policy forbids me from doing so. However, you have a long history of disrupting Wikipedia while logged out. What I've been able to track down goes back at least a year, and those are just the edits that I'm 100% certain of. Regardless, let's go through the motions and see if you're capable of editing constructively:

This unblock request has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:

  • Familiarizing yourself with our basic rules.
  • Read our guide to improving articles
  • Pick any pre-existing article you wish to improve.
  • If you have trouble choosing an article to improve, see this index of articles needing improvement for ideas. Once you have decided on the article you will propose improvements to:
    1. Click the Edit tab at the top of that article;
    2. Copy the portion of the prose from that article that you will be proposing changes to. However:
      • do not copy the "infobox" from the start of the article (i.e., markup like this: ...);
      • do not copy any image placement code (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the page's categories from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the stub tag (if there) from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: Foo stub);
    3. Click edit at your talk page, and paste at the bottom under a new section header (like this: == Article title ==) the copied content but do not save yet;
    4. Place your cursor in the edit summary box and paste there an edit summary in the following form which specifies the name of the article you copied from and links to it (this is required for mandatory copyright attribution): "Copied content from exact Name of Article; see that article's history for attribution."
    5. You can now save the page. However, if your edits will include citations to reliable sources (which they should), add the following template to the end of your prose: reflist-talk. Once you have added the template, click Publish changes.
  • Now, edit that content. Propose significant and well researched improvements by editing the selected portion of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
  • When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
    • If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.
If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "your question here ~~~~" to your talk page. Thank you. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 18:20, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This is not the only thing you did. You also repeatedly threatened someone's life, and apparently did so deliberately while signed out, in order to evade consequences. You need to specifically address this. --Yamla (talk) 17:22, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hold on, who's life did I threaten? MattChatt20 (talk) 17:56, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Here and here and here. --Yamla (talk) 17:58, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'll admit it was me. I am so sorry. It won't happen again. MattChatt20 (talk) 18:13, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I won't do any more attacks and I SWEAR THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN EVER AGAIN. MattChatt20 (talk) 18:14, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like I will never edit again. If that’s the case, than I quit. MattChatt20 (talk) 22:04, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That's your choice. You were offered a path forward, even after your disgusting attacks. You are free to decline the offer and walk away. --Yamla (talk) 23:06, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Well. I'll think about it. I do have a path. So, I'll take some time thinking and accept the offer. MattChatt20 (talk) 09:06, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Another thing is that I'll just wait until my block runs out. MattChatt20 (talk) 09:46, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Your block is indefinite. Death threats almost always lead to indefinite blocks. So the block will not just run out, not until you convince us we should unblock you. --Yamla (talk) 11:43, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I have read your basic rules and the guide to improving articles. Can I choose an article now? MattChatt20 (talk) 11:50, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
We aren't stopping you. Go ahead. Note that I won't support your unblock request until you fully address your disgusting personal attacks. Users often are never permitted back after threatening people's lives, but you might be the exception. --Yamla (talk) 12:02, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm gonna take a break. I'm tired of this right now. MattChatt20 (talk) 13:15, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'll pick an air crash article since I love aviaiton. I would like to make a copy-edit on the article Yemenia Flight 626 please. MattChatt20 (talk) 12:10, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to change the sentence from "killing all but one of the 153 passengers and crew on board" to "killing 152 of the 153 people on board." MattChatt20 (talk) 12:29, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. Where in the edit summary do I put the change in? It seems to screw it up. MattChatt20 (talk) 12:48, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No. We will not proxy-edit on your behalf while you are blocked. If this is your attempt to prove you should be unblocked, it's categorically insufficient. If you are trying to prove you should be unblocked, read and follow the instructions. --Yamla (talk) 13:42, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm done anyway. I'm leaving. MattChatt20 (talk) 13:51, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've revoked TPA. The user is doing nothing constructive and is wasting our time.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:21, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
