Hello Mgstaggers. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "The Sandwich Guy (2)".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 00:01, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 5[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alice Mann, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Plainfield. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:57, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

incapsula.com references[edit]

Hi! The references you're adding in your recent edits look like WP:REFSPAM. Pages selling you their services are the among the worst to use as sources, please stop. See WP:RS and WP:PSTS. -- intgr [talk] 07:46, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

And sorry to be so blunt and call it spam. During my time monitoring Wikipedia changes, I've seen so many instances of "SEO" companies spamming themselves all over Wikipedia that I've lost my patience. :)
Your edits are appreciated; no doubt it will take time for all the guidelines and policies to sink in and start making sense. Meanwhile be bold and don't worry too much. -- intgr [talk] 11:14, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Affiliations[edit]

Hi! Two questions:

  1. Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosing affiliations that you have with the subjects you write about, adding links to. Are you in any way affiliated with, or receiving benefits from, Imperva or Incapsula, related companies/persons or other subjects you have written about/linked to on Wikipedia?
  2. Do you know who user Aggiechrist or Geeksquad12 is? Operating multiple Wikipedia accounts goes against Wikipedia's policy of sock puppetry. Similarly editing on someone else's behalf without disclosure is disallowed (WP:MEAT, WP:PAID).

If you disclose your contacts/affiliations voluntarily then there is no need repercussions. -- intgr [talk] 07:41, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Mgstaggers (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I have read the Wikipedia guidelines on sockpuppetry and understand how I violated the guidlines. I was asked to make changes to existing articles without realizing the consequences of my actions. I now clearly understand my violations and pledge not to violate Wikipedia's policies on sock puppetry again. Mgstaggers (talk) 23:36, 21 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It's not just your violations of WP:SOCK. The sockpuppet investigation notes your totally inappropriate spamming as well, and you have not addressed this in your unblock request. But back to your violations of WP:SOCK. This wasn't an accident. You were warned about your behaviour and chose to set up another account to evade scrutiny. This isn't a case of you not knowing. You knew and attempted to mislead us. Such behaviour is incompatible with being an editor at Wikipedia. Yamla (talk) 00:40, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This blocked user is asking that their block be reviewed on the Unblock Ticket Request System:

Mgstaggers (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I'm mgstaggers and I respectfully request that my editing privileges be unblocked.

My account has been blocked for over 7 months and I very much miss making productive contributions to the Wikipedia database. I hope that Wikipedia administrators will take me at my word when I say that that the block on my account is no longer necessary. I completely understand the reasons for the block on my account and pledge my total and heartfelt assurance that I will not violate any Wikipedia standards relating to sock puppetry, spamming or any other user account abuse. I recognize that administrators strive to maintain the integrity of the database and go to great lengths to avert any damage or disruption of individual entries.

I have learned and appreciated the fact that my conduct was inappropriate and the ban on my account was totally justified in order to protect Wikipedia from disruptive behavior. It is my fervent wish that the administrators accept my assurance that my conduct issues have now been resolved and I will comply with all community norms.

Thank you for considering my appeal; I earnestly hope the administrators acknowledge and duly consider the sincerity of my remorse. I look forward to once again becoming a productive and creditable member of the Wikipedia community as I await your decision.

Accept reason:

Per bellow (see also [1]). Vanjagenije (talk) 20:12, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Checkuser needed. It looks to me like this editor really understands the reason for block and intends not to repeat the behavior the led to it. If there was no (new) sockpuppetry since being blocked, I think we can give them the WP:Standard offer. Since this is a CU block, I need a Checkuser approval. Vanjagenije (talk) 15:45, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Per WP:OFFER, now you take it to AN for community discussion. Copy/paste his statement. Katietalk 19:06, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am Mgstaggers and I agree to (1) never to use any other account but this one, and (2) never to add any spam links again. Thank you for reviewing my case and offering another opportunity to be a productive member of the Wikipedia community.Mgstaggers (talk) 01:31, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mother Lode (album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fever Dream (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
