Great job on your expansion of the Soldier Summit article. This is one of 2 articles on ghost towns in Utah that I started. Nice to see people pick up and put some actual information into it (I just created a bare bones article stub). The other Cisco, Utah has been rough, for some reason people want to keep adding unsourced hearsay. You've restored my faith in the wikipedia ghost towns project =-) Davemeistermoab (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 05:41, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Sorcerer (computer game)

Underdogs link had been removed because it contained a direct download link for the copyrighted item concerned. In general it's not acceptable to link to sites that are violating other peoples copyrights, which is what the discussion pointed to appeared to be saying. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:13, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Home of the Underdogs links

I support your removal of HOTU links in many cases, as they typically contribute nothing of value and are therefore just pointers to warez. The link you removed from Sorcerer (computer game), however, is an exception. As my edit summary indicated, there is a legitimate review of Sorcerer there.

Wikipedia:Copyrights#Linking_to_copyrighted_works says, "if you know that an external Web site is carrying a work in violation of the creator's copyright, do not link to that copy of the work." The link was certainly not to the infringing copy of the game. The policy doesn't say, "no external links to websites that violate copyright". A rule like that would eliminate a great many useful and legal links. I just think external links should be judged on a case-by-case basis. Ntsimp (talk) 15:47, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

The linked page still had direct download though, you will agree on that?

Given that other sites review without linking a donwload, it would be better to use those sites, instead of the HOTu one, and to be fair I did consider the HOTU links on a case by case basis. If you wish to reinstate it, I can't stop you- but the best compromise if you do would be to leave a suitable rationale on the talk page. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:56, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

We've had a discussion about this at the VG wikiproject, as Sfan here has been removing a hoard of HOTU links (amoung many other valid links all over the place, as you might be able to tell from his talk page). You may wanna chime in, though the discussion died down a couple day ago (copied from SFab's talk page).♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ (talk) 04:39, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Richard Friederich Arens

Hi, I'm Ferdi with the Account FerdiBf of German Wikipedia. I wrote the German version of the article 'Richard Friederich Arens'. In your version (you were the last one, who has worked on it) you write that he died on 15 May 2000. In the cited Pacific Journal article you can find the date 3 May 2000. If you know what the correct date is, please could you give me a hint (on the discussion of the German article or on my discussion page). That would be great! - Ferdi —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.190.4.26 (talk) 19:45, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Boris Aronov

A tag has been placed on Boris Aronov requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 21:52, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Hello Ntsimp, Thank you for adding my article to the Ghost Town project. Could you please review my article and make any corrections if you see fit. Thank you. --Reelj (talk) 04:18, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Please look at the source not at the text.

void MultiSwapSetKey(MULTISWAPKEY * out, unsigned int *datain) { int i; for (i = 0; i < 5; i++) {

  • out->round[0].multikey[i] = datain[i] | 1;

out->round[0].multiinv[i] = mod232inv(datain[i] | 1);

  • out->round[1].multikey[i] = datain[6 + i] | 1;

out->round[1].multiinv[i] = mod232inv(datain[6 + i] | 1); }

  • out->round[0].additive = datain[5] | 1;
  • out->round[1].additive = datain[11] | 1;

}

5 Rounds with 5 *4 Bytes = 40! + 8 Bytes additive that makes 48 Bytes = 384 Bit. (datain[i] + datain[5] + datain[6 + i] + datain[11] =0,1,2...11= 12*4 = 48 Byte = 384-Bit) 212.144.197.16 (talk) 10:31, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
