GSLV outcome[edit]

Please refer to my comment on the GSLV talk page. Similar failures have occurred on other launches, and the outcome of discussions in such instances was to regard any launch where the payload was not usable (as is the case here) as outright failures, not partial failures. --GW 11:48, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

April 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Template:Launching/SLV. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. GW 16:18, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Shashank Reddy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Salih (talk) 10:11, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:PSR007.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:PSR007.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 19:51, 25 April 2011 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 19:51, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Materiel actually is the correct spelling[edit]

Hello, thanks for your help copyediting Shivaji, your keen eye has caught some spelling errors others had missed. However, please note materiel was not a spelling error, Materiel is an accurate spelling of a technical term for military equipment. Please do continue copyediting, it is a great help, but if you could change "material" back to "materiel" in that specific context, that would be great. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:PSR007.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

file with unclear usability on project

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. May 2019[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Turmeric, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. See WP:MEDASSESS - the sources you used are primary and unencyclopedic. Statements of anti-disease activity need to be supported by WP:MEDREV reviews. Zefr (talk) 13:43, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

On my talk page, you said: "Dear Zefr, the sources i have cited are scientific publication in peer reviewed journals, I find that my conclusions are backed by reliable sources and would therefore revert back your changes. The current citations are outdated and not up-to-date.

Please sign and timestamp your talk page comments. An encyclopedia is not a place for covering preliminary research (see WP:NOTJOURNAL, #6), but rather presents the best-established facts supported by systematic reviews as discussed in WP:MEDASSESS. Your sources were from primary research and are not appropriate for the article; WP:MEDREV, "A reason to avoid primary sources in the biomedical field – especially papers reporting results of in vitro experiments – is that they are often not replicable, and are therefore unsuitable for use in generating encyclopedic, reliable biomedical content". If you wish to dispute whether your sources are valid, the place to do it is on the Turmeric talk page. Please don't edit war, WP:WAR. --Zefr (talk) 14:03, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
