If you are interested in adding news, I invite you to make contributions. --George Ho (talk) 20:47, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

Hello, what do you mean by that? While I make it a priority to follow the news, my schedule is very busy. Thank you! TCMemoire 21:01, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
You nominated one event for ITN, so I figured that you may be news-oriented. I see your nomination not likely to succeed. You can add any news that may be impactful. --George Ho (talk) 21:07, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

Indiana

Hi ScarletTail. I see you undid the edits on the Indiana page (the mottos section). Would you consider leaving their shame apparent? After all, they are so public with it. Obviously, there are many who would oppose it. Should they not have the right to do it in this way? And may who would gladly wear their shame (and should they not do it in this way?) I do hope you have a wonderful night! And thanks for keeping an eye on things (and cleaning up internet graffiti).

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Wiki Loves Pride 2016

As a participant of WikiProject LGBT studies, you are invited to participate in the third annual Wiki Loves Pride campaign, which runs through the month of June. The purpose of the campaign is to create and improve content related to LGBT culture and history. How can you help?

  1. Create or improve LGBT-related Wikipedia pages and showcase the results of your work here
  2. Document local LGBT culture and history by taking pictures at pride events and uploading your images to Wikimedia Commons
  3. Contribute to an LGBT-related task force at another Wikimedia project (Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikivoyage, etc.)

Looking for topics? The Tasks page, which you are welcome to update, offers some ideas and wanted articles.

This campaign is supported by the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group, an officially recognized affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation. The group's mission is to develop LGBT-related content across all Wikimedia projects, in all languages. Visit the affiliate's page at Meta-Wiki for more information, or follow Wikimedia LGBT+ on Facebook. Remember, Wiki Loves Pride is about creating and improving LGBT-related content at Wikimedia projects, and content should have a neutral point of view. One does not need to identify as LGBT or any other gender or sexual minority to participate. This campaign is about adding accurate, reliable information to Wikipedia, plain and simple, and all are welcome! If you have any questions, please leave a message on the campaign's talk page.

Thanks, and happy editing! ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:48, 30 May 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for contributing to the Wiki Loves Pride campaign. I've added your two articles and category to Wikipedia:Wiki Loves Pride 2016/Results, which is where we are showcasing new and improved LGBT-related work. If you happen to create any other articles, categories, etc., feel free to update this list. Otherwise, thanks again for your support! ---Another Believer (Talk) 01:06, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Re: Brazos River Bottom. Great contribution to Wiki Loves Pride and WP's coverage of LGBT culture in Houston. Thanks for creating! ---Another Believer (Talk) 02:53, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

As someone who used to live in Houston and knows the city well, I enjoyed reading the article, even though I've never been to BRB. Regarding Wiki Loves Pride: No urgent requests come to mind, but you might be interested in (or get ideas for new articles to create from) LGBT culture in Houston, or Category:LGBT culture in Houston, Texas. The campaign has an ongoing tasks page, but really the goal is just to encourage editors to create and improve LGBT-related content however they see fit. ---Another Believer (Talk) 01:53, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

Just a heads up! Here are a few more Houston-related stubs I created, in case any of them interest you: Eagle Houston, Meteor (Houston), Montrose Center, OutSmart, and Rich's Houston. I also created Wikipedia:Meetup/Houston/Wiki Loves Pride 2016 as a page for listing potential articles to create or improve, and new articles created as part of the Wiki Loves Pride campaign. This will be helpful for tracking progress of Houston's LGBT-related articles. Feel free to contribute to the page as you see fit. --Another Believer (Talk) 18:59, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

Great, I've joined the project! I think the Houston Public Library has a good collection of LGBT-related media, so I may choose a day this week to get down there and find more in-depth info on LGBT history and culture here. (I'm not totally sure- I haven't been there yet.) I'll keep you posted! :) TCMemoire 23:11, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

You have no idea how much I love that you expanded this article. Yes! ---Another Believer (Talk) 04:07, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Ah, thank you, I'm always so glad to help! Mary's was such a landmark and lively place, I wish it hadn't closed and I never visited, but now I'm determined to get downtown and try Blacksmith's coffee if only to stand where my community made history. I've finished editing for the night, and also: thank you for helping to create Wiki Loves Pride, this month has been wonderful — and I don't intend on slowing my efforts after the month is up! TCMemoire 07:32, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
Glad to hear! Wishing I could find some free images of Mary's, or at least the building's exterior with the classic mural. ---Another Believer (Talk) 13:33, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

A cupcake for you!

Hope you're not feeling disillusioned anymore! Anyway, here's a cupcake all the same! MediaKill13 (talk) 21:40, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
Oh, thank you so much! I'm feeling quite a bit better. Now that I'm on summer break from university, I'm also finding the time to work back into the swing of things. You have a great day, and again, thanks! TCMemoire 22:58, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

A barnstar for you! ;-))

The Original Barnstar
Dear TCMemoire,
We've never communicated before but I chanced upon your user page today and felt concerned to learn that you were/are somewhat dispirited of late, to the extent of posting the {{Discouraged}} template.
Well, please know that your efforts here at the Wiki are very much appreciated, and most definitely worthy of the present award.
Although I am pleased to see that you've resumed contributing over the last few days, taking a break and doing something else you love will refresh your outlook and I hope that, before too long, you will reconnect with the feeling of enthusiasm that first brought you here as an editor. Then, with batteries recharged, you will be able to excel here once again, for the benefit of our many readers; I hope you'll come back soon! Until then, thank you once again for your many, and much valued, contributions to our encyclopedia.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 00:07, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
Oh my gosh, thank you so much, this is so kind of you! I am beginning to feel better, I hit a low point beginning about a year ago both in real life and on Wikipedia, and it means so much that you and other editors have taken the time out of your busy days to drop by and send some encouragement my way. Once again, thank you! TCMemoire 16:06, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
Dear TCMemoire,
Thank you for your kind reply, and you're most welcome; I am glad to know that you're beginning to feel better.
I am on a Wikibreak at the moment, even though I have quite a lot of hand-written draft material prepared for a couple of articles. Instead, I login every day, update my user page and sprinkle a few edits; I also try to help where I can.
It's just that real life is quite busy and the weather is lovely here in Pembrokeshire at this time of the year. Also, I have just taken delivery of a new and wonderful acoustic instrument (a long-scale mandola), and I am playing it quite a lot. So, I am busy in a very good way, and I hope things will work out just the same for you too before too long.
Anyway, get well very soon and feel free to keep in touch, if you wish; although Wikipedians are here to build an encyclopedia, I'm sure we can also make Wikifriends in the process.
With kind regards for now;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 19:34, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 28

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited OutSmart, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Corpus Christi. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

On 30 July 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Marriage of Billie Ert and Antonio Molina, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Billie Ert and Antonio Molina, a drag queen and former football star, respectively, in 1972 became the first same-sex couple to be married in Texas? Instant-runoff voting

I see that you're a Bernie supporter, which indicates to me that you would support fair voting reform. The Wikipage: Instant-runoff voting.
