I don't know how I can verify for you some of the information. Some of it I can verify.

For example if you wanted to be able to prove that Tim is a writer for iRun I could dd llinks to some of his articles. Would this help.

or

http://irun.ca/issues/article.php?id=75&intIssueID=6

Alot of the informatin I have gotten from his wife and family. I'm sorry if this does not conform to your rules and I don't want to waste your time but I would really like to find a way to get him his page.

Copyright law and fair dealing

Dear Triwbe

I am a little surprised about your removal of ast I mI made this morning for copyright reasons. My knowledge of copyright law is actually pretty good, and a single line quotation from a long newspaper article (especially when that quotation is credited) is not a breach of any form of copyright under any law that I am aware of - in the UK it would come under the terms of "fair dealing".

However I have now rephrased the line so it is not a direct quotation.

Johnlbirch (talk)

Ths, I was nst sure mysmyself, but felt better to to be safe than sorry, that is why is mentioned AGF. Wikipeida falls under United States laws and the phrase would bfair use"se" but I could not find the definitions for textual quotes from copyright sources. Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright has the normal guidelines. --Triwbewbe (talk) 11:41, 8 June 2 (UTC)T

Hi, thanks for communicating.
I explained on your talk page yesterday to make you aware. Again Primary schools are not normally notable enough to have an article and so get redirected to the local education authority. Wikipedia:Notability (schools) explains it clearly I think. --Triwbe (talk) 07:24, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Triwbe,

I was unaware of this. I have deleted all contents and redirected the page to What you originally did.

I am new to Wikipedia and am not fully aware of the procedures. Please let me know if there is any other things that I have edited or modified that are incorrect. As i said any mistakes I have made are unintentional.I will take this opportunity to read up on creating and modifying articles.

Bombshelter Beats

I don't understand why this article has to be speedily deleted. This is a real rap group with real members and just because the page is small, it seems, it automatically needs to be speedily deleted. I realize it isn't as large or as informative as many other music pages, but that is because most of the others have been established for a long time and have a lot of information to put on their pages. Bombshelter Beats, on the other hand, was established less than two weeks ago, which is why the page is not very large as of now.

Thank you, Americadominates (talk) 06:55, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Not every single band, person or company automatically has a page on Wikipedia. To be included it has to be notable, in this case the criteria are shown by notability guideline for musical topics, as I mentioned on your talk page. I hope that explains it for you. --Triwbe (talk) 07:02, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Asef Al Izaag

Could you please tell me why you proposed this article to be deleted? it is listed in a wikipedia article as one of the notable Egyptian cinema films: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinema_of_Egypt and under the filmography for ahmed helmy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmed_Helmy

How can I improve the article and keep it?

Travelerman09 (talk) 07:42, 2 July 2009 (UTC)travelerman09

As the proposal explains, see Wikipedia:Notability (films) and then show how the film is notable and supply references to reliable sources proving it. A link to a list of films on Wikipedia is not proof. That lists needs a lot of clean up as well. Note Internet Movies Database is not considered a reliable source either --Triwbe (talk) 09:55, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Notice of vandalism?

Hello Triwbe,

I only just recieved a notice which was purportedly submitted back in April of this year on the talk page for my IP. Despite using this site frequently, I only just saw the notice of a new message today. Since I didn't have an account I made one as per the site's suggestion. I don't suppose you have a memory of what it was that was edited on the London Stock Exchange site by my IP on the 18th of April 2009? I have never edited anything before, so I'm unsure on how to proceed. Apparently I was also issued a final warning for vandalism of the New York Stock Exchange site (also apparently from my IP). I'm not exactly sure what's happening here. Could you please explain this to me?

Thank you, Zzinged —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zzinged (talkcontribs) 12:07, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

You would have to let me know the IP you were using, but you look yourself by going to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/...... and replace the last dots with the ip address.
Actually, looking at the edit history here I do not see any vandalism. --Triwbe (talk) 12:50, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Well, here is the talk page for my IP address. I'm stumped as to who might have made the changes from m IP address because the only other people who use this IP address are my parents, and they have no reason or interest to change minor details regarding international stock exchanges =\ Zzinged (talk) 23:56, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Well looking back at the logs I can see that the likely edit was this one, nothing to do with the NYSE. Hope that helps.--Triwbe (talk) 05:42, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
HAHA no, that doesn't help, but it's pretty amusing. Oh well, not much I can do about it really. I have no idea who made that edit since my IP seems to be dynamic (I previously thought it was static). Thanks for the help Triwbe :) /Zzinged (talk) 06:38, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

These photos appear on the corporate website, advertising their products, which claims copyright ownership of the photos. Wikipedia canot accept copyright content. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright. So if you own these images, and you gave them to the website, this means that you work for the company in some capacity and so your web pages is probably promotional. Hi. Just noticed that you converted the speedy deletion tag on this article from A7 to G4. Are you sure it's been deleted through AfD? The links in the notice at the top of the article don't seem to indicate it, and in that case G4 doesn't apply. No big deal, as long as the article gets removed and preferably salted. Well, whereas there may have been a few words changed the major content (here) was word for word identical to the website here which reserves full rights here. You may not copy complete sentences and any small changes that you made could still be considered as Derivative work.

conflict of interest?

Hello,

I have edited the content of the Romanian language page for Renate Weber, member of the European Parliament (the page was created by someone else and it was outdated). I have also created an English version of the page. I am working as Press Officer for Mrs. Renate Weber and, before writing the page, I have looked over the criteria for biographies of living persons, notability etc. and I have tried to write the article as informative and neutral as my BBC journalistic background has taught me to. Someone pointed out to me that I might be in a conflict of interest, although I have quoted other sources and have tried to not make an advertisment-like article. I also never had the intention of keeping my function private - I have signed the article with my own name and not a pseudonim etc. Please let me know what should I do, in order to avoid deletion of the articles, since I do not believe they should be erased. Thank you very much. Mirela Rus (talk) 11:10, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi Mirela
There is no risk of the article being deleted, the subject passes all necessary criteria for inclusion. You shoud read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. A Neutral point of view is a core policiy of Wikipedia and the question people will ask is "can you be expected to be absolutely neutral in your position". This means that every edit you make is questionable. If you really do work for Mme Weber, every edit you make, regardless of sourcing, may do more damage than good. People will see who has worked on this article and say it's just a vanity article.
More importantly is the mess the article is in. Please read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners and Wikipedia:External links which this article fails badly.--Triwbe (talk) 14:28, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
P.S. When reporting about the commission, the EP and MEPs, BBC journalists are sometimes far from neutral. --Triwbe (talk) 14:35, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello Triwbe, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. Hello Triwbe,

I have provided a slew of links to help backup the Vacuity (band) article. Online worldwide distribution via Maplemusic.com and a small, but growing fan base. If there is anything else you think would help legitimize this article, let me know, perhaps I can dig some of it up.

Futuroscope Image deletion?

Hi, I noticed you marked all the images on the Futuroscope page for deletion and they have now been deleted (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Futuoscope1.jpg&action=edit&redlink=1 2 and 3). One for licence issues and 2 as blatent copyright infringment. I uploaded these images a few years ago and without being able to see them now can't say for certain but I thought they were my own photos (and therefore not copyright infringement). Is there any way to see the original images so I can check? Thanks Turquoisefish (talk) 22:10, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi, it is not a question of who owns the photograph, it is who owns the copyright for the building. In many countries it is not permitted to publish picture of buildings where the copyright is still in effect, as it is in France. See Wikipedia:Public_domain#Photographs_of_buildings. --Triwbe (talk) 08:16, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, That wasn't obvious to me and maybe it would have been better explaining that on the comments on my user page rather than just calling it blatant copyright infringement which I would take to mean using images that are copyright in themselves such as a Disney picture of Mickey Mouse. Out of interest, I doubt the holder of the threatening account is even remotely familiar with the law (maybe he watches Law and Order). The UK Freedom of Information Act 2000 applies only to public sector bodies, and requires them to make available information at the request of a member of the public (eg asking how much the Highway Agency spent on maintaining roads in Manchester). It is nothing to do with freedom of speech, and definitely contains no provision that would require Wikipedia to carry a 'profile' of his chum who plays in a band.Elen of the Roads (talk) 14:06, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Oh I realised that. But as soon as I have a conflict, and I know I have only followed the policies, I just alert wp:ani and let the community deal with it, which they have done spectacularly :-) I think it is better to let others deal with it and be open rather than make the situation worse.
It fun to see such newbies who think no-one else is watching and that they can intimidate experienced editors. Then when they ignore the warnings and guidelines and go too far, the wikicommunity acts decisively.
What is more worrying is that certain agents might think that Wikipedia is an easy promotional tool. Anyone who tries that and fails will probably do more damage to his client's image than enhance it. I would not stay with an agent who tries such cheap tactics (hypothetically speaking :-) --Triwbe (talk) 15:08, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

This photo was found on Facebook and they claim it as copyright. So 1) Either you took it from facebook and you are not the owner or 2) you are the owner and you or someone uploaded it to Facebook who now own it. You should contact Facebook and claim your ownership there and get them to remove the photo before uploading it here where it will be in the public domain.
Or there is a 3rd possibility; You do own the photo, you are an agent or work with for that person and you have a Conflict of interest and should not be editing the article any way. We are not stupid, we have seen it all before. --Triwbe (talk) 06:10, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
