Offline TV draft

Just want to ask about the Birthday dates in that draft, I got it from other wikipedia articles and wikias, so I am not sure about its reliability, can be supported if the person itself states in a video i guess.

and why did you remove that FED7 emote statement, Its seems like a achievement to be noted for relevance. Thank You Wiki KuthiVaiyans (talk) 09:38, 26 January 2019 (UTC)

@Wiki KuthiVaiyans: Birthday dates do seem correct. You can add back the fed7 statement, but I think it needs a little bit of rewording. CrispyCream27talkuser page 09:42, 26 January 2019 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi CrispyCream27. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! TonyBallioni (talk) 00:49, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

Pending changes reviewer granted

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

WWE 2K20

Hi CrispyCream27 , Do you think there will be a 2k20 this year. I don't I think 2K will just give us a WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain remake.Just wanted to know your thoughts on it.😀 Tag-Mod 13 (talk) 04:47, 25 July 2019 (UTC)

I think there will be. I'm a bit doubtful regarding a here comes the pain remake but i'm not ruling it out. CrispyCream27 (Talk) 08:02, 29 July 2019 (UTC)

Hi, do you mind reading my article?

Here it is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Self-guilt_(psychology), please accept it as a article. Hvnlytearss (talk) 23:32, 28 July 2019 (UTC)

@Hvnlytearss: I like how it is supported by many sources, but the wording is a bit off. For example, throughout the entire article, I notice that you use the second person point of view by referring to the reader as "you." Wikipedia articles should not be written in the first or second point of view. I suggest you check out WP:TONE for more useful tips as to how to make your article fit the tone we are looking for. Unfortunately, I do not have the power the green light your article. Your best bet is to wait until it is reviewed by an administrator. Very rarely I will do a copy and paste move if I deem the article to be good, but I suggest you keep working on the article. I really appreciate the fact that you reached out to me. If you have any more questions, feel free to reply here on my talk page! CrispyCream27 (Talk) 08:17, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
Please never do a "copy and paste" to create a new article from a draft, because that creates problems with attribution. Use the move function instead if the draft is ready for the encylopedia. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 08:26, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
Will do. Thank you. CrispyCream27 (Talk) 10:04, 29 July 2019 (UTC)

Usernames

Hi CrispyCream27, thanks for making this report. In the future, you may want to report problematic usernames on the Usernames for administrator attention page, since it's not clear whether the edits to the Cauleen Smith article are vandalism. Cheers. — Newslinger talk 05:01, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

@Newslinger: Sorry about that. I guess I was working a little too fast that I forgot to switch the ARV tab on Twinkle to "username." Thanks for letting me know! CrispyCream27 (Talk) 05:06, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

No problem! Just wanted to make sure that you're aware. Also, since WP:AIV is mostly a way to request an immediate block on someone who is in the process of vandalizing articles, it's not the best place to report issues that are less obvious problems, e.g. conflict of interest issues. There are other noticeboards for these smaller issues, like the conflict of interest noticeboard. They're a bit slower-paced, since the problem is not as urgent, but they're the right place to bring these issues up. — Newslinger talk 05:10, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

Offline TV name change

Hi Crispy, I didn't realize that you changed your name to Troutfarm, but aside from that, may I request a page move from Offline TV to OfflineTV, I think the TV should be attached to the name as that's what the group goes by online. Another editor brought it up on the talk page, so I thought it's best I consult it with you. Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 09:33, 29 June 2020 (UTC)

Yea I just noticed that they mostly go by "OfflineTV" on most of their social media pages. Makes sense to move it. Also "OfflineTV" is currently a redirect page and I do not have the ability to delete articles. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 09:46, 29 June 2020 (UTC)

Thank you and good day! Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 10:42, 29 June 2020 (UTC)

I just saw the recent addition to the Fedmyster draft, with even CNN reporting on this, shouldn't it alteast pass WP:SIGCOV? Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 20:08, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

that's what i'm thinking. i'm just not sure if we should wait for it to be reviewed or somehow have it published immediately. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 20:16, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
Good point, I do recall when it was moved back from the main space to the draft space citing notability issues, I guess it's best we wait then. Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 20:19, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
Also sorry the name change is taking so long. I put a speedy deletion tag on the redirect page almost 2 days ago but still waiting on an admin to delete it. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 20:35, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
No problem at all :). Also thank you for being patient with me, there aren't many Wikipedians that I've come across, who convey a message in a welcoming way, the way you have to me. I know I might be a little annoying because I keep coming back asking for your help, but I'm still learning my way through this space and hope to be able to help others. Thank you again! Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 22:35, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
Of course! Feel free to reach out anytime. You're doing a fantastic job! Troutfarm27 (Talk) 22:43, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
Hi again Trout, I'm having a conversation regarding merging the LilyPichu article information with her subsection on the OfflineTV page. Can you go through the main article as well as what I've said so far on the talk page and chime in with your opinion. Thanks again! Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 22:41, 3 July 2020 (UTC)

Trout I reverted your edit, but I'm still unsure on if the education in her infobox should even be mentioned, as the other main space articles of subjects with similar cases, usually have their dropout education mentioned in their personal life subsections. I think it's best we remove her education from the infobox and just leave in the explanation I put in regarding her education in the Twitch streamer career subsection, thoughts?. Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 21:46, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

That can work too. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 21:53, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

Realtor.com and house listings

Troutram27, you are right that my "UNDUE" comment was short with a number of the realtor.com listings I've removed. It looks like an editor, perhaps working for the company, has flooded articles with "X had a home at [address] and was listed for [price] and sold for [price](cite realtor.com). I don't think Realtor.com listings/blurbs are sufficient to establish weight for inclusion in most BLP articles. If there was something significant about the home (a crime occurred there, was mentioned in normal press, the home itself is famous etc) then perhaps it's worth including. Most of these additions seemed like someone just scanned the Realtor.com articles and blasted them into Wikipedia. That might be paid editing. It certainly isn't good editing. If you really don't agree then please undo my removal. Springee (talk) 20:25, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

No I agree with your reasoning. I saw your edit summary after my revert and saw it as a valid reason. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 21:48, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

Steve Bing Censorship

It has come to my attention that you as well as Wikipedia staff keep banning my accounts and IP addresses after I uncovered the truth relating to the death of Steve Bing. I don't know why they bother blocking me because it's obvious that as soon as they block one IP range I will come using another one. Please stop blocking me and LET ME EDIT STEVEBING PAGE — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.214.169.69 (talk) 23:51, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

It's pretty clear that you're here not to build an encyclopedia, but add unreferenced controversial information. Stop wasting your time switching IP addresses and take the ban. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 23:59, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

Please stop that. You too, Calton. Thanks. Drmies (talk) 00:56, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Now blocked indefinitely, but I'm sure y'all saw that coming. Drmies (talk) 02:41, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

LTA sock

Hi. I'm cleaning up some of this recent anti-Biden and anti-Hillary vandalism, it seems to tie to a LTA sock who has edited around Steve Bing. I assume you cleaning up that vandalism is why they've come after you. Do you have any further insight into these accounts or other pages they are targeting? I'm curious who to tag as the "sockmaster" and if I've missed any. The accounts I've seen: BigJohnson99, HillaryForPrison2020, TrumpForPres2020, TrumpMyPresident, Clintonsbodybags, ClintonDid911. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:58, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure who the sockmaster could be. I am only aware of the accounts who left messages on my talk page (the ones you mentioned). Troutfarm27 (Talk) 23:50, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

SVG logos

Thank you for the much needed upgrades to LCS teams' logo files. Are you able to edit out the extra space around the SVG files? Non-square/non-circular logos with equal square dimensions may render improperly on some user settings and devices. If you are unable to that's fine, if you are able to, thank you in advance. All the best, CentreLeftRight 23:27, 14 August 2020 (UTC)

Fixed Golden Guardians, Evil Geniuses, FlyQuest, Immortals and added an SVG version of Dignitas' logo. Let me know if I missed any or need to make any adjustments. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 02:27, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

Fedmyster passed the AFC!!

Hey Trout, I wanted to let you know that the Fedmyster page was reviewed on the AFC and is up now, thank you for the effort you had put in to get it published, it's really appreciated. Also I was accepted to be a part of the AFC reviewers and couldn't have done it without your guidance over the year I spent here, thank you! Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 20:31, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Glad I could help. Congrats on becoming an AFC reviewer! Troutfarm27 (Talk) 22:26, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you!, hey could you take a look at this AFD nomination that I had made a couple of days ago and give an honest opinion (please don't feel guilty if you aren't sided with me on the AFD nom, I just want affirmation) there, the discussion has only been between another editor and I, so I'd like there to be more consensus regarding the topic from other editors. Thank you again! Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 03:06, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Wesley Matthews

The Lakers haven’t said one way or the other what Matthews’ number is (and they had a press release for the signing that could have advised what number he’d wear). He has also worn #23 and #2 in his career - last year was his first as #9. Just wait for confirmation. NBA.com rosters usually just port over the old number when a player moves teams Rikster2 (talk) 01:51, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

New page reviewer granted

Hi Troutfarm27. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at WP:PERM in case your user right is time limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. signed, Rosguill talk 22:28, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

New Page Patrol December Newsletter

Hello Troutfarm27/Archive,

A chart of the 2020 New Page Patrol Queue

Year in review

It has been a productive year for New Page Patrol as we've roughly cut the size of the New Page Patrol queue in half this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of great work done by Rosguill who was the reviewer of the most pages and redirects this past year. Thanks and credit go to JTtheOG and Onel5969 who join Rosguill in repeating in the top 10 from last year. Thanks to John B123, Hughesdarren, and Mccapra who all got the NPR permission this year and joined the top 10. Also new to the top ten is DannyS712 bot III, programmed by DannyS712 which has helped to dramatically reduce the number of redirects that have needed human patrolling by patrolling certain types of redirects (e.g. for differences in accents) and by also patrolling editors who are on on the redirect whitelist.

Reviewer of the Year

John B123 has been named reviewer of the year for 2020. John has held the permission for just over 6 months and in that time has helped cut into the queue by reviewing more than 18,000 articles. His talk page shows his efforts to communicate with users, upholding NPP's goal of nurturing new users and quality over quantity.

NPP Technical Achievement Award

As a special recognition and thank you DannyS712 has been awarded the first NPP Technical Achievement Award. His work programming the bot has helped us patrol redirects tremendously - more than 60,000 redirects this past year. This has been a large contribution to New Page Patrol and definitely is worthy of recognition.

I've moved the page to draftspace and when you think it is ready to be published, you can submit the draft to Articles for Creation. Thanks. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 04:00, 15 December 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Jamie Morgan (actress)

Hello Troutfarm27. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Jamie Morgan (actress), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. Barkeep49 (talk) 17:53, 15 December 2020 (UTC)

@Barkeep49: Thanks for letting me know. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 21:26, 15 December 2020 (UTC)

Could you please review my article

Hey.

I noticed you have reviewed a few pages in your time at Wikipedia- I am a beginner to Wikipedia and have just finished writing my first article, now the draft is pending for review. It'd be great if you could check it over! I am apprehensive that it will contain mistakes and I will need to wait another few weeks/months before getting another review.

Many thanks, Apaul291003 (talk) 11:22, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

@Apaul291003: Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, I can only review articles that are on the mainspace. Articles that are drafts can only be reviewed by those participating in the Articles for Creation WikiProject. Also, there's no need to relay your message to multiple new page reviewers at a time. Troutfarm27 (Talk)
@Troutfarm27: That's totally understandable but could you just take a look? You don't have to approve it or anything - just some suggestions would be nice so I can improve my draft.

Thanks, Apaul291003 (talk) 22:06, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

@Apaul291003: I don't see why it shouldn't be approved. All you can really do right now is wait for someone to look over it. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 00:25, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

Berleezy

What did you find incorrect, or not cited on my page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by LendonT. (talkcontribs) 19:32, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

@LendonT.: Hi there Lendon. Thanks for reaching out. There are multiple issues with the "Berleezy" article. First and foremost, the article isn't supported by reliable sources. All of the sources you used came from the subject's own YouTube channel. Sources on Wikipedia must be published from reliable, third party outlets. These sources must demonstrate significant coverage of the subject, and must also not be associated with the subject of the article. Second, you stated on your userpage that you are closely associated with the subject. This is what we call a conflict of interest and can result in the article not being presented from a neutrual point of view. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 21:59, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
@Troutfarm27:

Hi, I wrote incorrectly on my page, i just wrote that because I thought you had to write it. I am actually just a fan of Berleezy's and have never actually met him. Also what other sources can I use for this. He doesnt have any articles that can substantiate the information, and everything ive written was based on what he said himself, basically like an interview.

@LendonT.: Unfortunately, if you are unable to find third party outlets that are independent of the subject, then he doesn't qualify for his own Wikipedia article at this time. You can keep the article in the draftspace, though keep in mind it will be deleted if it goes unedited for 6 months. I'd recommend copy and pasting the source code into a notepad on your computer to prevent losing progress. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 21:29, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

Was Mizkif born as Matthew Misrendino?

This edit to the article for Mizkif adds details about his birth name being Matthew Misrendino. There are sources in the article that talk about someone named Matthew Misrendino, but there are no reliable and verifiable source in the article that establishes that Mizkif / Matthew Rinaudo and Matthew Misrendino are the same person. Nor was I able to find a source in a Google search. As such I removed the claims.

Do you have anything to support the claim? Am I missing something? Alansohn (talk) 13:40, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

@Alansohn: Found a reddit post/meme that has an old yearbook photo of Mizkif under the "Misrendino" last name. I noticed that editors had repeatedly added that last name to the article in the past so I took a look into it and did a google search under that name. I found the sources relating to him wrestling in high school which lines up with the claims he has made on his stream in the past, along with the fact that he would've graduated in 2013. One of the websites I sourced (MyVeronaNJ) also features an article on the commencement ceremony that features a picture of someone (2nd photo down) that looks eerily similar to Mizkif, but there is no mention of either name. My fault though for breaking WP:NOR. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 19:35, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
There was another source added to the Mizkif that said that "Matt 'Mizkif' Rinaudo grew up in the small township of Montclaire [sic], New Jersey." Montclair isn't that far from Verona, but each municipalities have their own high schools. Without sourcing that would tie Mizkif directly to Matthew Misrendino or to Verona High School, I'm very leery of making a connection based on a picture looking like someone. Alansohn (talk) 20:24, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
@Alansohn: Fair point. I guess we'll leave it as is until a reliable source that connects the two pops up. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 20:49, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

You could have been moved Geography86's articles to the draft as the block wasn't indefinite and they are probably not a sock of somebody. However, you may want to take a look at the ANI thread about Geography86. MarioJump83! 06:39, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

BTW, sorry for making you get the first trout in years (the last one wasn't appropriate though). I hope all is well. MarioJump83! 06:54, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
@MarioJump83: No need to apologize. Obviously a slight blunder on my part. Hope all is well with you too. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 07:38, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

I just sorted that mess over at User talk:Anthony Appleyard. Essentially the issue seems to be a desire to evade afc following draftification, see Draft:Fabuloso. Anyway, maybe worth watchlisting as the user responsible has been fairly persistent about this. 2A03:F80:32:194:71:227:81:1 (talk) 00:45, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

Sam Darnold

Regarding this edit summary, I’m not really sure where you’ve seen or heard that, but that is not a rule for NFL players, or any of the major American pro sports leagues. Once an official announcement is made regarding a transaction, the team can be included throughout the page. Just at a quick glance at your edit history it doesn’t look like you edit NFL pages often, so I just wanted to give you a heads up on this.--Rockchalk717 01:01, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

@Rockchalk717: My bad. I thought it was a rule but it just so happens it is common practice with baseball articles that we don't include the team in the infobox list until they've appeared in a game with that team, so I thought that same practice applied to other North American sports leagues. Thanks for letting me know! Troutfarm27 (Talk) 01:31, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

Kent Pride

Hi Troutfarm27 - why was the redirect of 'Kent Pride' to 'Pride Canterbury' put back in place? I'd like to explain why this redirect is inaccurate, please.

1) Pride Canterbury is not known as Kent Pride, it is known as Canterbury Pride. There are 8 'Pride Events' in Kent, and none of them are known as Kent Pride apart from Kent Pride itself 2) Kent Pride exists, and it is not accurate to direct people looking for information about Kent Pride to a completely different event.

Thanks :)

Thanks for your reply on my talk page, that's really helpful. I hope I am replying to you in the right way - I wasn't sure if I had to do that here or on my talk page. Thanks for the advice about the page content, I will register soon and have a go at creating it. In the meantime, I think it might be a good idea to remove the redirect from Kent Pride to Pride Canterbury, as even without the content on the Kent Pride article, this redirect is inaccurate for the reasons stated above. I will have a go at doing that, but let me know if I need to do it in a different way. You've been very helpful, thank you so much. 5.56.53.32 (talk) 10:54, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
I've just encountered an issue - when I try to remove the inaccurate redirect I am told that I cannot leave the page blank. How do I remove the inaccurate redirect? Thanks again! 5.56.53.32 (talk) 10:57, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
@Troutfarm27: Hi! I've now created a full article for the Draft:Kent Pride page that you kindly helped me with a while back. If you have time and are willing to take a look to let me know what you think, I'd really appreciate that. Thanks!
@Unforgotten10: Hi again! The article looks good. You did a great job supporting it with reliable sources. All there is left to do is wait until an Article for Creation reviewer takes a look at it. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 00:39, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
@Troutfarm27: Thank you! I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to find other articles to create. You’ve been a great help. Many thanks.

Image update & page review request

Hey Trout!! hope you're keeping well, its been a while since I interacted with you last but anyway, I wanted to ask you if you could update the image on Fed's page as I feel it's outdated and the quality is pretty low, I noticed that you understand how to upload images without copyright problems and that's why I am asking. Also I have one more request, could you check if everything is alright and review my new page C.W. Lemoine, it seems to have not been reviewed for quite a while now, you can find it on the new pages feed if you search my name (Delta fiver) in and set the date between the Jan 2021 to now, thank again!! Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 09:38, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

@Delta fiver: Hi Delta. I hope all is well with you too. I went ahead and reviewed your article. Regarding the Fed photo, I haven't been able to find one that is of higher quality and with a creative commons tag. However, I'll be on the lookout. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 19:44, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
Alright no problem, thank you for the review again and take care bud! Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 19:46, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

You tagged an article I wrote as potentially biased, can we talk?

Hi there! I wrote the following article: Jonathan Wysocki, to which I think you added a box that states it may be biased bc I know the subject. This is true! I do know the subject and agree the article is potentially biased. However, because of that conflict I submitted the article through the Article Creation process and I disclosed the conflict as part of that submission. The article was approved by Cairo2k18 on February 11, 2021. I thought that this review and approval was to assess for that potential bias, so I was surprised to see you add the box. Is there something else that I should have done to deal with this issue? Thanks for your time. Iheartdata (talk) 00:17, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

@Iheartdata: Hello. While yes, the Articles for Creation process is supposed to take a look at potential issues associated with the article, there are times people forget to tag the article with the appropriate maintenance tag. The article doesn't appear to show any signs of bias, but since you appear to be the only major contributor, I added the tag to notify readers about the possibility of biases like not including certain pieces of information and whatnot. There's not too much that can be done other than having another person not associated with the subject make some major contributions to the article. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 01:57, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

@Troutfarm27-thanks so much for your response. A couple of follow up questions as I try to understand this process better. Are you saying that the person who reviewed and approved the article should have added that maintenance tag? Finally, someone approached the subject of the page to offer to remove the tag for a fee. I know wikipedia frowns on this-is there anywhere that I should 'report' something like that? Thanks again for your help. I'm new to writing on wikipedia and am still learning a lot! Iheartdata (talk) 13:35, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

@Iheartdata: Adding maintenance tags is part of the job as an Articles for Creation reviewer, though I understand how this can easily be forgotten since their primary concern is making sure the article's subject is notable enough to warrant its own article/is supported by reliable sources. As for paid editing, while yes it is frowned upon/highly discouraged, it is allowed as long as that editor follows the guidelines at WP:PAID. I hope you're enjoying your time on Wikipedia so far and please don't hesitate to continue reaching out to myself or other editors regarding any questions you may have. :) Troutfarm27 (Talk) 17:25, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

@Troutfarm27-Thanks very much for the info and for your time!Iheartdata (talk) 21:17, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

Lead too long tag

Hi Troutfram27, following your tagging of Political history of the Philippines as having too long a lead, I have pruned it and removed the tag. Please let me know if it is still too long, and any other comments you may have. Best, CMD (talk) 12:18, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

@Chipmunkdavis: Looks good! Troutfarm27 (Talk) 00:01, 21 June 2021 (UTC)

NBA Finals logos

Could you provide direct sources for File:2020 NBA Finals logo.svg and File:2021 NBA Finals logo.svg? Both logos have errors so I want to fix them. – Sabbatino (talk) 09:13, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

@Sabbatino: Hi. What I did was take the file from the 2018 nba finals logo from the nba website and rearranged the numbers in Inkscape. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 17:38, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

New Page Patrol newsletter September 2021

New Page Review queue September 2021

Hello Troutfarm27/Archive,

Please join this discussion - there is increase in the abuse of Wikipedia and its processes by POV pushers, Paid Editors, and by holders of various user rights including Autopatrolled. Even our review systems themselves at AfC and NPR have been infiltrated. The good news is that detection is improving, but the downside is that it creates the need for a huge clean up - which of course adds to backlogs.

Copyright violations are also a serious issue. Most non-regular contributors do not understand why, and most of our Reviewers are not experts on copyright law - and can't be expected to be, but there is excellent, easy-to-follow advice on COPYVIO detection here.

At the time of the last newsletter (#25, December 2020) the backlog was only just over 2,000 articles. New Page Review is an official system. It's the only firewall against the inclusion of new, improper pages.

There are currently 706 New Page Reviewers plus a further 1,080 admins, but as much as nearly 90% of the patrolling is still being done by around only the 20 or so most regular patrollers.

If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process or its software.

Various awards are due to be allocated by the end of the year and barnstars are overdue. If you would like to manage this, please let us know. Indeed, if you are interested in coordinating NPR, it does not involve much time and the tasks are described here.

Your GA nomination of Shohei Ohtani

The article Shohei Ohtani you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Shohei Ohtani for issues which need to be addressed. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Sanfranciscogiants17 -- Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 20:00, 16 September 2021 (UTC)

Just checked in on Ohtani again, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to fail it for now. Many of the changes are still unaddressed, even after nearly three months. I notice you mentioned on the talk page that you've been busy with life stuff lately (so have I, which is why I haven't been very active on Wikipedia lately); that's understandable, but I think the best case now is to address all comments made, then renominate it. The article right now isn't ready for GA status, but I believe it can be, and I think I've left a pretty detailed blueprint on how that can be accomplished. Don't give up!

Also, is this one of your first GAs? If so, you might want to try a lower profile player out - there's less information on them, so they're easier to decide what to/what not to mention. Raisel Iglesias, for instance, would be a simpler first GA, since there's less to his career to cover. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 03:51, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

@Sanfranciscogiants17: Hey thanks again for taking the time to review the article! Yes, this is my first GA nomination. I'll definitely consider lower profile players when I get the chance. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 20:19, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

Missing permission to use license for Ludwig Ahgren's new picture in the infobox

Hi there,

Thanks for uploading a new picture to Ludwig Ahgren's wikipedia page. Unfortunately, you need authorization from the copyright owner to license it the way you have. Instructions on how to fix this can be found on your WikiMedia talk page. If no action is taken, the file may be deleted within 7 days.

Best, Pilaz (talk) 09:00, 5 October 2021 (UTC)

@Pilaz: Hi. I'm a bit confused considering the video is tagged with a creative commons license? Troutfarm27 (Talk) 19:48, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
@Troutfarm27: Hi, my bad. I should have looked better. I've reverted my edit. As a sidenote and since you seem to be a prolific uploader, can I recommend using the more appropriate YouTube CC-BY template and tagging your license with License Review in the future? I already went ahead with the changes, but just fyi. Guidelines on licensing from YT files can be further found here. Please consider adding a timestamp as well for screenshots, it helps a lot. Thanks again for the great work and for improving the page considerably! Pilaz (talk) 22:23, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
@Pilaz: Thanks for linking the YouTube template and license review. I'll be sure to use those in future uploads! Troutfarm27 (Talk) 22:25, 5 October 2021 (UTC)

Ronald Acuña Jr. Championship

Why would you remove Acuña Jr.’s championship? He was on the team. Whether he was injured or not, he got a ring. He had the highest OPS on the team. He should have “World Series champion” on his page. He was apart of the team. 2600:1017:B80C:E81A:615B:916B:9248:D170 (talk) 21:23, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

@2600:1017:B80C:E81A:615B:916B:9248:D170: You're right. When the Braves hold their ring ceremony next season, he will certainly get one. However, per prior consensus on Wikipedia, we only add the title for those on the World Series roster, which he was not a part of. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 06:40, 7 November 2021 (UTC)

Opinion on AFD

Hey Trout, long time no see, hope you are keeping well. There is an ongoing AFD, that I have proposed regarding Kkatamina, could you provide an opinion regarding the subject's notability as of now and regarding the subject's page. It would be great for the discussion, which has only gone between the nom and the author as of now. thanks again! Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 20:19, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

@Delta fiver: Hey! User Axem Titanium pretty much said everything I would've said so I didn't go too in depth with the response. Hope you're doing well! Troutfarm27 (Talk) 20:30, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
No worries at all, Axem did pretty much cover the concerns, I just wanted more opinions because the conversation at the time was only between myself and author, so there was not much of a discussion going on. I actually saw your revision on Kkatamina today and I'm messaging you after finishing a lecture, I too believe that it must be moved back to the draft space upon considering the work Cat has put in for the project and there's no point deleting it like that. Also I'm really sorry for being ignorant to your review on the subject, I only saw it today. I guess we will wait and see until the AFD is closed, I have the option to close it but I haven't done it before. Delta fiver (talk) (UTC) 04:56, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
