Your edit here seemed incongruous with the AfD debate to remove the article. Could you explain why you took the action that you did? I need some help!
Hello Wizardman... I need some help from a friendly and more experienced Wikipedia user. For a while now, on the Wikipedia page Hustle (TV series), there has been a large section of the page (at the bottom) missing... if you click "edit this page", it shows all the missing parts (e.g. sections, categories, references, external links etc). Good day! I would urge you to not cite Wikipedia:Centralized discussion/Image placeholders as a rationale for the mass or individual removal of placeholders. The discussion has hardly begun and there was a sort of agreement to not mass add or remove placeholders until the discussion was complete. MfD thanks
Thanks for closing the MfD and removing the cafepress link. I removed most of the mentions of the article so that it does not draw so much attention to itself while it is in such a rough state. I also made some small effort to cleanup the state and indicate the scope of the article (not just a dumping ground for any phrase some new editor has heard more than once). I scanned it for other "objectionable" material, but I think mostly it is just an OR mess. Since someone at the mfd indicated they used it as a writing aid, I left them in for now, but the plan is to actually restrict it to highlights from each era, highlights that are sourced both as the original phrase and as being used as a pattern *in that era*, not just in a modern TV advertisement.
After the tidy, I basically blanked the page to keep google from indexing it. The current version just has a note about the scope of the page, the problems with the old page, and a link to the tidied version of the page for those that use it as a writing aid. Let me know if this is in keeping with the MfD closure / consensus. Basically, it is just a pet project of me and my wife -- one that gets easier every passing year as the fad dies and the young sociology and linguistics researchers write about it in a more scholarly fashion. New Project
Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.
If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. Hi, you closed this discussion with a decision of keep. Can I ask you to reconsider based on the following. The template is named "British Christianity", but the text on the template says "British Isles" - a very different matter as it includes non-British areas (Ireland). So the template is named and used incorrectly. In addition, the anon IP address voting for Keep belongs to a group of anon IP addresses that have been attacking "British Isles" edits - most of which have now been blocked. Of the other Keep votes, one was conditional based on creating separate templates for each region, which has been done. That just leaves one keep vote, on condition that the template is moved to "British Isles". Given that 3 people agree with the deletion, and that the remaining Keep vote was conditional, can we relist this template again, hopefully to get a wider consensus? Deletion of HeartBreaker, The Original Tribute to Pat Benatar
Hello, Mr. Wizzard, my article was just deleted. I'd like an opportunity to appeal this with you since I see you deleted it. As a legitimate question, can you please explain to me how any of the tribute bands listed in the sub-category "tribute bands" are any more notable than HeartBreaker? And their articles allowed to be kept? Please read through some of them and let me know. Perhaps doing so can lend some insight here? As a note, the article had been revised since the first speedy-deletion tag was added and had some "keeps" and suggestions I was working on. I discontinued adding the hangon tag as someone noted in the history that there was "no speedy" and it kept getting removed. I'm really not all that well-versed in this yet so forgive my ignorance on some things. I'm still getting used to all the pages and where things go. The information here is overwheling. Hopefully, although this is long, you will find it somewhat interesting too as much of it is informational.
I'm new to Wikipedia, this was my first article, and feel as if I've been singled out. I've read through many of the listed band's articles and find perhaps only one, The Iron Maidens with whom we shared a first place title award for "Best Female Tribute" in 2004, who's short-term accomplishments outweigh those of HB. They're all pretty much similar for tribute bands. I have been in the genre ten years with HB and accomplished the significant things tribute bands accomplish, this was documented as much as any of the other tributes listed (again, had you seen the edited version?). We (tributes) do not fall into a category of general "musicians" as we are more of a sub-culture. We do not make chart-topping records or win Grammy Awards. Perhaps my article was listed in the wrong place and should have been listed in the sub-category of tribute bands, Los Angeles musical groups, or Pat Benatar??? I'm using the article for The Iron Maidens as reference. I'm certainly open to the right suggestions.
Just as a point of reference, regarding the article tribute acts I've noticed a heading above the list of tribue bands on the tribute acts article that states, "...Some well-known tribute bands include..." and then lists tribute bands. Well this must be reletive to the area in which they play? Having been involved in this genre for as long as I have, I believe I can call myself an expert, I have educated others on the subject. I've regularily perused the internet over the years looking for other tributes, in order to keep in the know, so I think I can speak intelligently on the subject. That being said, I have never heard of most of the bands on the tribute acts page?
This really surprised me given that, for example, The Atomic Punks, who are an LA tribute to Early Van Halen and one of the longest running tributes in LA, fifteen years, have to be one of the most well-known tributes to VH as they have been endorsed by David Lee Roth in a KLOS radio interview, have had two guitarists recruited to tour with Roth, have played all over the counrty if not the world, and have been joined many times on stage by Michael Anthony, are not listed. Who did this reasearch?? Or, Wild Child, The Doors tribute and possibly the longest-running tribute band subsequent to Beatlemania, twenty years. Or, The Fab-Four, who signed a million-dollar contract with Hilton Hotels. Or, Led Zepagain who with Which One's Pink repeatedly sold-out shows in national act venues such as The House of Blues and The Grove of Anaheim time and time again and have been specifically visited by Jimmy Page when he was in LA. All of these bands have made significant strides in the gerne and are not mentioned. That is curious to me, In fact, I was married to a "Beatle Paul" in 1987 and he went on to tour all over the world with one of the original Beatlemaina cast members and they are not mentioned??? How is this possible unless these bands listed themselves??
We have played with and have known all of these bands for years. We are one of the pioneers of this genre', were the first female-fronted tribute band in the LA area, were the first Pat Benatar tribute, have been endorsed by the original artist and their official Fan Club, we are the only band linked to thier official website, we have had the original bassist not only join us on stage many times, but has given us an original video-taped interview endorsing the band and have been included in the subject matter of tribute documentary's, unsolicited reviews and were sought-out by VH-1 to be one of three bands to play in a documentary they were making on tributes. Although this one did not come to fruition for HB, because according to the show's director, Pat was not available for the taping during her tour, this is still significant as if we were not notable, how were we contacted by VH-1? As well, I was personally considered to work with Pat Benatar and auditioned with the current bass player Mick Mahan. All this is notable and interesting information to the reader because of the mere fact that all these bands share the common factor that they/we are merely tribute bands and share a great pride of accomplishment in the small and large strides that we as a community have made. The fact that tribute bands have perpetuated and grown into a well-documented genre and continues to do so is the phenominon in itself. It's as we all joke, "Who would'hve though a tribute band would do some of the things they are doing or get the recognition they're getting?" There is much more to be written about tribute bands than is actually stated therein tribute acts(and that's a whole other ballgame) which perhaps I can lend to in the future.
We may not be as popular as The Iron Maidens, that's heavily based on the populairity of the original artist, but we are in our niche. We have played shows to as many an 10,000 people, we have played small tours in Japan, Arizona and Las Vegas. We are significant, we are notable and because we have been around for so long we are listed on many many web sites and search engines (Not that tat makes us notable, but certainly visible) because over the years our website has managed to crawl across the internet, with very little or no help from me, to sites listing tribute bands, and misc articles we have found here and there on the internet. We were the first at something here and have tenure. We have seen tributes come and go. We have played over two hundred shows and our website has seen over one-hundred thousand hits between all pages. We have earned respect and notability within the community and perhpas some of those things seem ambigous to those of you whom have perhaps not taken the time to investigate it but we are notable within the context of the genre and that is of interest, we deserve to be here.
I understand this is not a forum to advertise, that is not my objective and I have read the rules. My objective is to provide information and lend to the whole of things. I don't need a place like Wikipedia to advertise, no one would look here for that. And, we have agents for that. So the notion that it would be my objective is somehow not realistic.
Please consider this article in the proper context and lend your expertise so it can be properly reconstructed. I do remember reading somewhere that certain things should simply be revised before deletion is considered. I would appreciate help on this rather than a rush to judgegment.
By the way, I realize I put up a lame bio to start, but I wasn't sure about what I was doing...this is how we learn.

Hi there.. just wondering what your rationale for removing the descendants of QVictoria infoboxes from both QEII and Anne, Princess Royal is? It doesn't make any sense to me.. - The thing is, in English soccer, there's no argument that the top 4 levels of the league system (Premier League and the Football League) are fully professional, so players having played in those leagues pass the WP:ATHLETE criteria, and leagues below that level are not fully pro, so players only having played in these lower leagues would not pass WP:ATHLETE. advice?
I see that you are a mediator.
Over the last 2-3 days, I've added some very neutrally, neither pro- or anti- information about Barack Obama. Looking at the talk page, it can get very heated there. What is the secret to success in avoiding getting mud slung at me?
For example, even adding his mother's name is met with resistance. I put his mother's full legal name (as Obama was born to ...mother's name). What is the fuss? Why refuse to print her full name? I feel an edit war/edit attack is waiting to happen, even over very factual stuff. Why the fuss over such simple matter; you can image how more complex matter will result in even more fuss.
Advice on calming things down but still have the best edits appear? This is more preventative advice sought rather than seeking you out as a mediator. DianeFinn (talk) 17:35, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi. It would be my honor if you nominate me. I think I improved my CSD. I understood when we use {{db-nonsense}} and I think I used it correct. Moreover, I nominated hundreds articles (mainly redirects cause by implausible typos and empty talk pages) for speedy deletion with no problem. I have started more than 50 new articles (excluding redirects and templates). Check my user page. Most of them are in the stub or start level. I have significantly contributed in Members of the Greek Parliament, 2007- and List of aviation accidents and incidents during the Iraq War. I don't know if this is enough. Thanks for the advice. The reason I would like to be an admin is mainly to help with TfD's and speedy deletion of nely created redirects with brankets, etc. About the fiction stuff: It's not my main work in Wikipedia. I got involved the last weeks in order to help a bit. I think in all the cases, the consensus is of what I suggested. I know there were some reactions and that the subject is very sensitive but I hope I have proven myself to be neither a deletionist nor an inclusionist. Thanks for the advice once more. Re: Adminship

- I'm sorry, but it just seems like a hell of a lot of work and effort to not only become an admin, but to do the things expected of one in order to retain that position. As you said, I am primarily an article writer, and in the two years I've been on Wiki, I very rarely have gotten myself involved in the internal bureaucracy of Wiki. That's not to say that I haven't done things like WP:SPEEDY at times when I was bored, or even that bout where I helped on closing and promoting/failing FLCs some time ago. WP:AFD does seem like the obvious route to take, but until I start becoming more interested in the internal politics and behind-the-scenes work of Wiki, I doubt I'd have the drive to want to become an admin. However, the summer's coming up now, and maybe when I'm not going through some massive editing bouts I'll swing by WP:AFD and see how I can contribute. Ask me again in six months or so, and I'll see.--十八 22:42, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

This page has been deleted without any proper reason? I think there has been a mistake as its original page "Madonna's forthcoming tour" was unconfirmed and speculation.
