Valanjerd (Persian: والانجرد), also Romanized as Vālānjerd,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Valanjerd Rural District of the Central District of Borujerd County, Lorestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,457 in 346 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,581 people in 463 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,526 people in 469 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
