It should be mentioned that in the past, "lector" was a function at real universities too, not just universities of applied science. From some point in time, they were all renamed to "professor". Rbakels (talk) 14:30, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I wonder if a lector can be seen as a full professor. I do not think so, for instance because a lector has no ius promovendi (the right to supervise a doctoral candidate), regards, HenriDuvent (talk) 19:19, 15 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
