List of Attack on Titan episodesAttack on Titan (TV series) – and make List of Attack on Titan episodes a redirect to Attack on Titan (TV series)#Episode list. Attack on Titan (TV series) is redirecting to this page, and that's backwards. This is written an an article on the series, with a comprehensive lead, then an episode list as an embedded list. It's confusing and aberrant for us to have a "List of Foo episodes" page without a "Foo (TV series)" article; the former article type splits off from the latter (per WP:SUMMARY, WP:SPLIT) when the latter become too long (and only then – we've done plenty of merges of premature and unnecessary episode and seasonal episode list articles back into main series articles). If there's content at Attack on Titan that would be better in this page, then move it and leave behind a more concise WP:SUMMARY section there. All per our normal practices; there isn't anything special about this subject or this page.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  01:43, 18 January 2019 (UTC) --Relisting.  — Amakuru (talk) 10:46, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Notes: A previous RM on this failed to come to consensus, apparently due to a pissing match between WP:TV and WP:ANIME editors. They need to get their stuff in order, per WP:CONSISTENCY, WP:OWN, and WP:CONLEVEL policies. The rationales provided for the move (in both RMs, by nom and by others) completely outweigh the WP:IDONTLIKEIT arguments against the move ("We WP:ANIME people don't like to do it that way", etc.). As a participant in both wikiprojects, I have to say that this silly and completely manufactured dispute needs to die with fire. There is no magical exception on a genre or country basis to WP:CONSISTENCY policy and WP:NCTV guidelines, nor to the WP:COMMONSENSE meta-policy, which would not have us use conflicting article titling and information-organization schemata and rationales based on nothing but whether something originated as a particular kind of illustrated publication back when.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  01:43, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - But I completely agree we shouldn't have a list of episodes without an associated main article for the TV series. I suggest, though, the more expedient route would be to just create Attack on Titan (TV series) either from scratch or pulling text from the Attack on Titan article or the lead from this list article. A quick stub with the {{Infobox television}} and {{Attack on Titan}} could be drafted very quickly. I suggest this because we would still need a separate list of episodes article, and we might as well let this existing page continue in that role. @SMcCandlish:, maybe pull this RM and go with this plan? -- Netoholic @ 04:22, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't go that route at all, for reasons already given: we don't fork off "List of Foo episodes" sub-articles until we actually need them for length reasons, and we do not in this case. Given that you agree that the content we have on hand is already good enough for an Attack on Titan (TV series) article, your comment actually bolsters the call for a rename, unless and until a consensus emerges that the episode list embedded herein has become so large that a split is required.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  04:36, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Absolutely wrong. What'd happen if we did your plan was that we'd move the page and then immediately just split off the episode list anyway. We should instead keep the integrity of the page history together and leave the List a List. -- Netoholic @ 07:29, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. If were were going to be completely logical then the articles would be something like:
  • Attack on Titan
  • Attack on Titan (manga)
  • Attack on Titan (novels)
  • Attack on Titan (film)
  • Attack on Titan (TV Series)
    • List of Attack on Titan Episodes.

That is, all of the pages relating to the original creative work should follow in a logical sequence, both in navigation and titling. Ozflashman (talk) 05:01, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - per WP:NCTV the article should be named Attack on Titan (TV series) and if an episode list split is needed, then it should be created. If Netoholic wants to do the work before a move is done in order to see if a split is needed, I'm not opposed to waiting. However, if that work is just a theoretical work that someone might do, then no reason to wait. --Gonnym (talk) 08:17, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Gonnym: I know nothing about this series, but I'll absolutely commit to creating the (TV series) page if this RM fails. I would have if SMcCandlish had pulled this RM. I just don't want to invest time if people are still going to push for this unnecessary move. -- Netoholic @ 11:00, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Just to clarify why I think a separate List of episodes is needed no matter what: per MOS:TV#Multiple pages, such lists are usually split off for "very lengthy series, generally 80+ episodes". This list already has 49 episodes (plus 12 more starting in April 2019), OVAs, bonus shorts, plus the additional lengthy title texts (Romanji and Kanji forms). Individual seasons also already have been split off (List of Attack on Titan episodes (season 3)). This all together puts us in reasonable split range, and the series is still active and continuing. -- Netoholic @ 11:31, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support split out of Attack on Titan (TV series), which will then allow this article to remain where it is. --IJBall (contribstalk) 16:53, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom, and leave the page and episode list as one page. Many television series pages include an episode list, and this one is small enough to include both the main article on the series and its episodes. Randy Kryn (talk) 18:36, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. It's probably too early to have both an article and an episode list, and even if the episode list is split off right after this RM is closed it makes sense to make this one be the article first and split the episode list off of it. No history will be lost, as it will be in the history of this article up to the split off to the separate new episode list article. --В²C 17:49, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Split the list of episodes to its own article?[edit]

For this particular article I think it would benefit if the list of episodes was split into its own article. The article is big enough to stand on its own and would be easier to navigate if the episode list was given its own article. Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 17:45, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think we have enough support and i dont think anyone is going to oppose anytime soon. @Alucard 16: if you are interested in splitting it, you wont have any opposition.Blue Pumpkin Pie (talk) 21:44, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

OVA episodes and shorts summaries not showing[edit]

Ignoring the rest of the planet[edit]

Yeah lets just ignore everything from publishers to dates that isn’t ENGLISH RELATED.... so informative for less that a fifth of the planet..... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.193.152.252 (talk) 13:39, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Gabi Page?[edit]

There’s a ton of debate and discussion about the character Gabi since the anime became to adapt the final parts of the manga. Should we make a page about her? 2603:7000:1F00:6B91:8DD3:376D:47D:6390 (talk) 16:40, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, I don't really think it is needed as such because except for Eren Yeager none of the side characters have a seperate page, even the important one like Mikasa,Levi, etc. Aaradhya Deotale (talk) 08:17, 8 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

New section: Plot[edit]

I feel like the introductory section is too long. I almost created this myself but I feel like the format for this sort of article does usually a short plot summary at the top. Is that true? Strobelit (talk) 08:46, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Subbed" voice acting[edit]

Lolwat? I'm changing this to "original and dubbed". Also, English-language Wikipedia DOES NOT imply English language of described subject. Whoever knows what language dub is praised, please add it - I'm sure there are more than just English dub. --Rowaa[SR13] (talk) 05:18, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Banned in Russia[edit]

FUD. Please stop parroting degeneracy of lying Western shitmedia. They will never get anything right about Russia. Period. And even considering how idiotic original article is, Wiki-editor managed to up the stupidity to 11 by changing "St. Petersburg court" doing the banning to "Government of Russia". "Government of Russia" can't ban anything JFYI. Each and every ban is done by specific court. AoT is perfectly available at legal online distributors, here's example of Final Season on Kinopoisk: https://hd.kinopoisk.ru/film/4e408995ea402cafb36eaab1d1b9ba0a What REALLY was banned is distribution on several specific pirate sites that didn't respect official 18+ rating and provided access to AoT fansubs to everyone without any checks. --Rowaa[SR13] (talk) 05:18, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Levi Ackerman and other side main characters[edit]

I would be good for Levi and other side main characters to have a page. 2C0F:F5C0:50E:977C:1F44:C948:3CC3:F54C (talk) 19:09, 21 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Episode Listing for The Final Season: Part 3 and 4 or just Part 3?[edit]

Applies to all branch articles about this topic. On the episode listings for The Final Season, we have the speicals (and adjacent episodes) listed at Part 3 and 4 . I’m not 100% sure about it, but would it be better to list it all of it as Part 3? To list 3 or 4 episodes as a part doesn’t seem right. Would it be better to group up the 7 episodes as Part 3? (For the specials, we can keep them separate from the episodes like before, but have those two both marked as Part 3: Special Versions). Kybrion (talk) 18:58, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
