The external link http://fletchers.esmartdesign.com/dutcheastindies/palembang.html shows a photo of what are purported to be bamboo stakes pointed skyward as a defense against paratroops. Any confirmation of this? I haven't read about this tactic anywhere else, and the photo is not discussed in the text. To me, it looks like Rommelspargel from two years later in France.
