Pilot

The pilot episode took up two time slots on Spike TV because it was a two hour special. That doesn't mean it should be treated as two different episodes. It is one episode that took up two time slots.ScrollMaker 15:10, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

If the Pilot counted only as one then there would only be 12 total, while the site is stating 13. I believe they have decided to count the pilot as 2 episodes, stupid yes, but their decision I suppose. Mickeyho13 19:42, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Then, shouldn't the Pilot episode count as episodes one and two, with "Death Goes On" as the third episode, etc? Right now, the episodes are sorting of confusing in order. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 21:03, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Edited Critical Remarks

I removed these quotes from the main article; they add very little except for space. I have moved them here so that if people violently disagree, they will be easy to add in, perhaps in an edited form? Also, it would be good to provide references, not just the name of the journal in which they appear:

Unsourced but important statement

This statement contradicts previous statements in the article. Neither statement is referenced. I put this statement into the talk section not because it is not important, but to hopefully trigger someone to clean up the controversy with a sourced statement. I also inserted an --uncited-- template into the main article at the other claim.

The first movie ends in Moscow and the series starts in Moscow, so unless further timeline tie-ins occur in upcoming episodes, I think this pins the timeline to somewhere between Blade 1 and Blade 2

• I'll settle this. The series absolutely takes place after Blade Trinity. I know this because in the first episode, there is a clear reference to the events of the movie. The character Shen mentions Natasha Lyonne's character "Sommerfield" and the inhalers she created for Blade and how her notes for making them were destroyed.

Here's the conversation:

Shen: What? I got hungry too.

Blade: I miss those inhalers.

Shen: I'm working on it.

Blade: Work . . . faster.

Shen: Dude, most of Summerfield’s notes are destroyed, all right? The serum that keeps the thirst away is easy to replicate, but the inhalers work on a totally different system. You see, they allow you to generate hemoglobin. Humans have genes that develop proteins, but vampirism disables the links between those. Now, the inhalers help to fuse those chains...

Blade: Figure it out! You're supposed to be the smart one.

Shen: Yeah, and I'm the good-looking one too.

Episodes

I added a recap of the pilot. It is flawed, someone will likely wish to edit it.

Please add a photo of Blade, Shen, Krista, Marcus, and the blonde vampire whose name I can't recall.

The Blond Vampire's name was Chase. I wonder if Charlotte should be displayed as well. She had a prominent roll espeically later in the series. Rekov

Zack Starr's headstone

Zach's tombstone was NOT May 28th but June 28th, moron. I know because I have photographic memory.

I saw the rerun of the episode to make sure I saw it right, and I did. May 28th was the death date on the headstone. Provide an image source that says June 28th; until then, that bit is not going on this article. --The Scourge 16:04, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Nit pick at the nit pick

Detroit does have an elevated train its called the "People Mover"

and does "Nitpicks" have to be called that? Why not something NPO liked criticisms?

Went ahead and changed it, 'bro. Though everything and anything under the sun is being posted on Wikipedia, "nitpicks" is something you'd find in a review or something oppinionated.

Removed the statement about Quinn handling silver, in the movie he had gloves on when he took the silver spikes and drove them into Blade's shoulder. 75.35.242.224 03:58, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Can somebody not alter the "Inconsistencies" section, so much of it is so very easily explained. The one about Blade's serum not working on a vampire who drank too much blood but working on him is invalid because he's half-human, explaining why it worked on him and not on her. And the two references to the past being altered, what we saw on the TV show was flash-back, there was no flash-back confirming the story that Whistler told in the films so how do we know that he wasn't lying, especially about the broken leg. Notes on the episode summary pages

I've been adding other pages to the Blade universe here, such as:

• The Blade Dictionary
• Minor characters in Blade: The Series
• Krista Starr, Marcus Van Sciver, The Aurora Project, etc. Click on the links and please feel free to expand or add stuff I forgot. I also wrote all of the episode summaries from Episode 5 (Bloodlines) on. I also heavily edited the first few summaries as they were lacking in content. I appreciate those of you who helped "wikify" them for me. Leave a message on my Talk Page if you want help on any Blade-related stuff or have suggestions for me. Thanks!

A Side Note

Wtbe, whoever you are, who wrote the section "About the Vampires in Blade"; When at anytime in the series, was the word Torpor used in conjunction, when Vampires lapse into a coma to heal? That word and its connection to vampires, is usualy associated with Vampire the Masquerade and such. I also don't remember a time where a Vampire slipped into a coma in order to heal. Chase doesn't really count, since She was mainly cognizant as She recovered, after being badly burnt in that explosion, in the Berlin Clinc, where Blade went to rescue Vanessa. Just asking, because I clearly don't remember that word even being used.

As far as I know it wasn't, and that is a Vampire: the Requiem term (formerly masquerade). I'm taking it out unless someone has a source. Onikage725 10:58, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Out of date removed from main page

• In the UK Bravo has the rights to show Blade the TV series. It's coming soon and will probably be in the UK by November 2006.

UV

It is stated in the "About the Vampires in Blade" section that they are able to see in the UV spectrum. While this is said in the series, it makes absolutly no sense, because it would require that UV light is bouncing from the image into the eye of the vampire. Should this be addressed at all in the article? Rekov

I think that the intensity, and possibly the specific range in the UV spectrum, is what makes UV light harmful to the vampires. That's just a guess though. Also, light bulbs emit uv but that light is distinctly different from the qualities of sun light. Sun light however can be mimiced by special lights, so its possible that whatever the difference between the two is is the harmful aspect. 98.28.114.217 (talk) 01:53, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Ash

Anyone care to mention the sale of vampire ash as it was a big part of the show. Not too clear on what the deal was? You snort it, it makes you strong and fast like vampires but you crave blood so bad that if you don't get it you'll chew your fingers off. I thought the professor said that it actually made you a vampire but maybe I was mistaken. Do humans that use the ash become sensitive to silver, garlic and sunlight?
