[Untitled][edit]

This isn't entirely factually correct, COC, CPI(ML) is possible more notable for being the precursor of Central Organising Committee, Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Party Unity. --Soman (talk) 20:56, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Further COCs...[edit]

From what I gather, the COC, CPI(ML)s of Umadhar Singh (which merged into COI(ML)) and Shanti Pal, are not necessarily related to the main COC, CPI(ML). The exact origins of Shantipal group appears a bit murky, one source stating that they originate in the pro-Lin Biao group in NBBRC (but that would be similar roots as Mahadev Mukherjee's party??). Umadhar Singh was in Satyanarayan Singh's CPI(ML) before setting up his COC, CPI(ML). --Soman (talk) 20:49, 18 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notably, there are also plenty of sources talking about CPI(ML) People's War as 'COC, CPI(ML)'. --Soman (talk) 20:50, 18 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Banned?[edit]

I'm 99% certain that COC, CPI(ML) was one of the 10 left groups banned by the central government July 4, 1977. Can't find the reference right now, however. If anyone can find a WP:RS for this factoid, it would be very appreciated. --Soman (talk) 21:08, 18 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
