Deletion proposal[edit]
- Keep: Well known high street company in Great Britain and Ireland for more than 30 years. ww2censor (talk) 05:31, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Damartex or Damart?[edit]
The term "Damartex" is suddenly introduced with no warning - is it the same thing, something else, or what? The way it reads at the moment tempts me just to change it to "Damart" but I hope there's more to it than that! :) DisillusionedBitterAndKnackered (talk) 14:55, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Structure - attempt to update[edit]
The present structure seems a little wrong, with too many things of non-equivalent value at the same level. I am planning to have a little go at something I hope works better - what do you think? Best wishes, DisillusionedBitterAndKnackered (talk) 14:56, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Motorcyclists[edit]
When Ah were young (eeee) Damart was the thermals de choix for the discerning biker - this is how I know about them! Is the Damart-bikes connection strong enough to be significant (as in, worth a mention), and is it likely that it is documented somewhere? Just a thought. Cheers, DisillusionedBitterAndKnackered (talk) 15:02, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Company ownership[edit]
I heard a rumour going around back in 1992 that this company was actually taken over and owned by a company called 'Kmart'. Wondering if this is true? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.12.29.193 (talk) 15:58, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Controversy[edit]
Despite the 2005 outrage, this disgusting company continues to use pressure selling techniques with its elderly customers, especially using bogus 'lottery wins' and marking mailshots to indicate they they are somehow official documents or accounts related. I don't have a ref but my 81 year old mother has personal experience of this. --Ef80 (talk) 09:56, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
