References providing documentation are broken[edit]

Two of the references are broken, but if I remove them, then several extremely important statements would lack any substantiation. I presume that these links once existed. They are Reference [3] (http://www.redcrystalgala.org/?p=669), which leads to a page with a "home" link, but the site http://www.redcrystalgala.org seems to be defunct.

Reference [4] (https://www.nativespiritpublicrelations.com/Support_Irene_Bedard.html) gives a 404 error. There is in fact a related page[1] about her, but nothing about her personal travails.

I found alternate references for both and added them, noting that the original ones were broken. I don't know if this is the best way to handle this situation, since we are left only with second-hand citations. MidwestGeek (talk) 06:25, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Birth year[edit]

I see that an anonymous editor has changed Irene's birth year from 1967 to 1968. What is the source for that? IMDb still gives her birth year as 1967. JHVipond (talk) 16:24, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There's been a lot of that in her case. I used to have a copy of a Native-centric magazine from 2000 in which she was the cover story. If I remember correctly, that story gave her birthdate as 1976. I've seen other attempts to fudge her age elsewhere on this site. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 02:28, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Promoted to Start class. Article is too long for a stub and stub tags are not present in the article. Leofric1 (talk) 06:06, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BLP issues[edit]

Hey, @Drmies:, this edit just came across my watchlist. I agree that the level of detail for an incident not yet resulting in a criminal conviction is inappropriate. However, would you care to explain why you gave so much attention to something attributed to an actual reliable source and did not bother to scrutinize or remove the negative information in the same section that's sourced to a blog? #WikiAccountability #HumanJudgmentNotMindlessBotThinking RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 02:28, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Focus on content please. --Hipal (talk) 02:36, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
User:RadioKAOS, thank you for your helpful hashtags. Next time, when you actually see a BLP violation (as I, apparently, not did), do something, instead of complaining that someone else didn't do it. Now, if you'll pardon me, I'll go check five million more articles that I haven't looked at. Drmies (talk) 17:14, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
