Etymology of eporedia[edit]
The article currently states:
- The Latin name of the town, Eporedia (meaning: "place to change horses")[citation needed], has long since vanished into the mists of time,
The Latin for horse is equus. Epos is Gaulish. Reda is also Gaulish, meaning 'to ride (in a chariot or wagon)'. The name is thus Gaulish, and may have been Latinised but does not have a Latin origin. I have left this as citation needed for now, to give time for anyone to come up with a citable Latin etymology. Meanwhile I will check my references on the Gaulish etymology. --Nantonos (talk) 14:15, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
