Edit war[edit]

Mike.Boland33 (Joe Boland's grandson, by his own admission) has edit this article to contain a vast swath of first person recollection from Joe Boland that apparently was published as an article "The First Time I Met Rockne", and republished in Boland's wife's book (Boland, Peg. Joe Boland: Notre Dame Man. NSP Publishing, 1962). I have reverted this edit, as I feel that the extensive personal reflection is not appropriate Wikipedia content. (There may also be copyright violation issues if the text has been copied verbatim from the book. I am opening this discussion to resolve the matter and gain WP:CONSENSUS. Wow, just wow. How absolutely unnecessary. I told WikiDan61 I would like to make the necessary changes myself to the content under good direction from him. I reverted the content, and then removed the section cited by Mr. WikiDan61. I also asked that he not wholesale delete all the changes, as he also deleted a number of photos I uploaded as well. I have removed the content that has him so concerned.

I hope the puts the matter to rest as I would like to continue working on the cite under the goals and parameters set forth by Wikipedia.
