Anton Dvorak[edit]

I recently stumbled upon a scan of an article from Mechanix Illustrated, January 1951, "Meet Mr. Typewriter", stating that Matin Tytell built the first one-handed layout typewriter for August Dvorak, better-known for the Dvorak keyboard layout. I wonder if he may also have built the first Dvorak keyboard machines for two-handed typists. Any ideas on how to find out? —Quicksilver^{T @} 18:57, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is an article about Martin Tytell that I can't find referenced in the article. It's a long article by Ian Frazier, published in 1997 in The Atlantic Online, at http://www.theatlantic.com/issues/97nov/type.htm

It's entitled Typwriter Man. It is very interesting and seems like a first hand interview with the gentleman.
