Overhaul[edit]

I shall begin by translating the de:WP article about the Montreux–Lenk im Simmental line, which will be linked to that article. I shall also likely shift a few links here on en:WP, and perhaps transfer some parts of the MOB article here. After all, the MOB is actually the company that runs the Montreux–Lenk im Simmental line, not the line itself. This distinction is already made on other WPs. Dump decision to open a separate line article[edit]

It was a dump decision to open a separate line article for this line alone – operated, managed, and owned solely by MOB –, since this line has only the one route from Montreux to Lenk. And MOB manages and operates only this line plus the connection to Spiez/Interlaken. It would have been much wiser to keep it with the MOB article, as it is done with almost all narrow gauge railways in Switzerland-articles! -- ZH8000 (talk) 07:53, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think that's rather harsh. It's not unheard of to have separate line articles in these situations, to better maintain the distinction between the line and the company, a distinction that is often blurred. I was thinking of writing it myself. That said, things like rolling stock should be covered on Montreux Oberland Bernois Railway. Mackensen (talk) 11:18, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
