Info credit

I'd like to state for the record that most of this info was researched out for us on other pages by Hitsuji Kinno. Yayyy! --Masamage 23:42, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm adding the release dates slowly... slowly mind you. I can do summaries of each arc if that seems necessary. Just ask for any info that's missing and either I have the FAQ, direct knowledge of it, or know exactly where to find it. ^^;; 8 years of fandom creates this sort of sickness. --Hitsuji Kinno 01:18, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
No arc summaries needed, I don't think. Mentioning the new characters actually says a lot, and we can link out to the plot summaries for the rest. The release dates are all available at The Oracle, as well, so it's another matter of whoever has time. :) --Masamage 05:30, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

ISBN for Infinity Collection

I went looking for the ISBN for the Infinity collection. I don't think there is one. The front, back and the cover flaps of what was scanned don't show any sign of an ISBN, which is usually prominently on the back of the book... We could ask the person who scanned it, but it may be this was unofficially published (i.e. no ISBN). --Hitsuji Kinno 01:33, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Geez, you're right. Self-published books wouldn't have ISBN numbers. Good call. --Masamage 05:30, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Manga Summaries

For the future... is it alright is I start a template on this, but don't publish it? I'll do a pilim on Volume 1. Since there aren't that many volumes, I think it's safe to say we don't need a list. If you have any comments on what it should or should not include go ahead. I have most of the volume/act summaries anyhow. (My SM Manga FAQ) So once we get one I can do the rest fairly rapidly. --Hitsuji Kinno 15:45, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

You can make anything you want under WikiProject Sailor Moon/Whatever you want. ^_^ --Masamage 19:21, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
As long as its Sailor Moon Related... (Better state that before we get a couple of Idiots who can't figure that out! Lego3400: The Sage of Time 00:13, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Sailormoon World

I am not so sure why would links to SMW is considered spam when I have verified the existence of the canon product. It's bad enough that I lost time for chasing revision, but now I have been falsely accused for spam because of this? Considering that finding obscure knowledge sometimes require access to materials in foreign language, if anyone should be deleting that, it should be done only after proofing that is false information. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jacob Poon (talkcontribs) 18:05, 7 February 2007 (UTC).

Actually, according to Wikipedia policy, "The burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material." So if you feel it's important, you're the one who needs to back that up.
But the issue isn't whether "SMW" exists. I'm sure it does, and that it's great. The issue is that it seems to be a fan-created work, or a merchandising effort, either of which would be ineligible for inclusion in this encyclopedia.
Furthermore, what I did first was to try and verify for myself that this was a real thing, but I was unable to find information on it because the websites you've listed are not written in English, which is also required except in the case of official websites. In your own words, this is "obscure knowledge" and therefore not an exception.
That's three policy concerns. If you can satisfy them, that's wonderful and we'll put the links back. Either way, when someone is concerned about a contribution, it is impolite to just revert them before discussion has taken place. Always talk things out first. --Masamage 22:34, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Fancruft?

"As of May 2005, Tokyopop's license to the Sailor Moon manga has lapsed, with it being impossible to renew due to Naoko Takeuchi's freezing of the Sailor Moon title worldwide for all publishers, including in Japan, and subsequently the English-language manga is out of print.[7][8]" Someone inserted the Takeuchi statements about freezing the manga world wide. There is currently no support for this and even Jay Novak from which a large misunderstanding started (because people misread this article) stated up front that this is not necessarily true. I'm pulling it down because it's slander otherwise... and to the person who keeps putting it up, please stop and look at the talk.---Hitsuji Kinno (talk) 23:21, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Perpetuating these "statements" without a reliable source is a violation of WP:BLP, rather than mere cruft. -Malkinann (talk) 01:24, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure it's not slander (or libel). I'm not sure if it even counts as a BLP concern; it may, but only by extension of being untrue and unverifiable, which is the real problem. --Masamage 08:09, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
