Untitled 2007 topic[edit]

Shecky's is an established and well-known company. This article is a summary of who they are and what they do. It has been edited to remove what may be regarded as blatant advertising, and the remaining content, I believe, should meet Wikipedia requirements. Please reference other similar pages for Zagat and HipGuide in considering the validity of this entry.

I don't consider the current version a speedy delete candidate as spam, but it doesn't make a case for notability under our guidelines and lacks verifiable 3rd party sources. These issues should be addressed with article edits.--Isotope23 19:32, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The text still has a lot of qualifiers and sounds like a press release. Needs paring down to meet Wikipedia standards and not sound so affiliated with Shecky's. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.106.196.2 (talk) 19:57, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have known Chris, for a long time. Most of this article is based in fact. It is a bit hyped. Probably, initially written by one of his henchgirls. Shecky's Shop, is now closed. His company is quite successful; and has their niche, in the entertainment, and fashion world. I have seen much more blatant articles; survive on wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sexwithlee (talkcontribs) 03:35, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
