He raised legal objections and forced the architect to redraw the plans. In gleeful triumph he added three terracotta devils to the building facing Cornhill from the South.

Should this be: He raised legal objections and forced the architect to redraw the plans. The architect, fuming, added three terracotta devils to the building facing Cornhill from the South.
