i think the slime mould page is now a better page than the myxomycota page. and since the taxonomy, the levels and the names of the clades is a hornet's nest of flux, i think it might not be so bad to use the common name.

notice from protista the taxobox leads you to mycetozoa leads you to slime mould, and puts stemonitis in myxogastria

eukaryote taxoboxe also sends you to amoebozoa to mycetozoa leads you to slime mould.

myxomycota is now old hat. What would you like to do?Wikiskimmer 14:21, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can I ask the point of listing all the species names with links that in most cases that are redirected back to this page? This is irritating to use. --Joe Fogey (talk) 21:55, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Joe Fogey: if you look at one of the redirects, such as Stemonitis farrensis you will see why. These use {{R taxon with possibilities}}. Generally people do not update all the incoming links, so it's best to keep them up ahead of time. You can also use something like User:Anomie/linkclassifier to see these links better. --Nessie (talk) 16:48, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
