– Correct spelling is without the accent, per pronunciation and spelling rules, the local government and the state constitution; see also an unresolved comment from 2014 on the w:es talk page. And deleting the superfluous "(city)" disambiguator would bring more into line with others linked from Template:Guerrero ("Acapulco" and "Acapulco (municipality)", for example). Not listed as a technical move because of past (albeit sock-involved) move wars and because the internet hosts many instances of "Técpan" and "Tecpán" (but they're wrong). Support per nom. Superfluous disambiguators are to be avoided where possible, and if sources support Tecpan (no accent) then that is what we should go with. Bensci54 (talk) 17:49, 8 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
