Timeline[edit]

S13 is included on the timeline when it hasn't started filming yet and there are no sources for any of the potential cast. no sources yet that its even renewed for S13. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.7.246.216 (talk) 10:45, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Info updates[edit]

The last sentence of the "Overview and casting" (In February 2016, the series was renewed for a seventh season, confirming the return of Giudice, Gorga, and Laurita), should be changed.

Instead of the last sentence saying the show was renewed in February, it should say the show's return was announced in February, since it had been renewed much earlier at an unknown time. The show was already into filming when Bravo made that February announcement. The source that is currently in place also says that it was simply Bravo's announcement that happened in February, not the actual renewal.

EDIT: In February 2016, Bravo announced that the show would be returning for a seventh season, confirming the return of Giudice, Gorga and Laurita.

Also, before this sentence, it should be mentioned that the show went on hiatus due to Teresa serving her prison sentence. Something like this:

EDIT: In Timeline of Housewives & Friend roles. Women who have not held a main Housewives title of a Friend of title should be excluded from this list. Cast member who have only been guests should not be on the Timeline like Penny and Victoria.

EDIT: — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.72.171.252 (talk) 17:41, 19 October 2016 (UTC) After the conclusion of season six in 2014, the show went on hiatus following the start of Teresa Giudice's highly publicized prison sentence for charges of fraud, which began in January 2015. After Giudice's release on December 23, 2015, she began filming for the series again.[reply]

EDIT: Should we remove cast members from the Timeline who have only had guest appearances on the show, who have never been recurring or main, like Penny and Victoria Gotti. It makes very little sense to have them on it?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.119.242.159 (talk) 02:42, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In regards to Gotti and Drossos, they're featured on the timeline as guests as they played a significant part in a season where they appeared several times and were heavily featured in the drama however they weren't officially credited. They have a right to be featured on the timeline as "guests" because that's what they were. Similarly it is used on Atlanta with McCall and Potomac with Baylor. Guests on the show who have not held the 'Friends of' title from Bravo have since been removed from other franchises page, like McCall in Atlanta and Baylor in Potomac. Should the same not be done with New Jersey? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.19.113.223 (talk) 22:17, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Gotti and Drossos are definitely not official "friend of" status. There's plenty from the other Real Housewives that featured the housewives' friends but they aren't considered as a "friend of" that were given confessional screentime and reunion attendance. This article should be no exception.TheVeryHotWikipedian (talk) 05:35, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide exactly the edit you'd like to make, such as "remove X and add y, using source z." Thanks. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 12:08, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reception[edit]

Why no Reception section? I had expected there to already be one, presumably the critics hated the show and the ratings were excellent.

What I wanted to add though was the praise from Camille Paglia, who praised the photography and editing and said "This is intelligent and sophisticated documentary filmmaking that really needs to be honored."[1] She clarifies that it started rough and at first was amateurish, but eventually found its groove. She also praised it as a modern reinvention of soap opera's.

One person's trash is another person's treasure. Might be worth mentioning if anyone does add a reception section. -- 109.76.141.49 (talk) 01:40, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
