Untitled[edit]

S11 E01 was the cheap police cars challenge, the presenters had to buy cars for 1000 pounds and convert them into police cars. that challenge needs adding --User:Sstabeler|'''Sstabeler''']]|[[User_talk:"Sstabeler"|talk (talk) 20:57, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

17 Year Old[edit]

Just made a quick edit to the 17 year old car challenge, Hammonds car was not the Turbo model. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.103.212 (talk) 22:06, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Police cars challenge[edit]

Who wrote that article because the grammar and wording of it was atrocious. I have fixed up the majority of it and made things sound better and added the final result. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dragonboy (talkcontribs) 13:55, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That and the alfa challenge need SERIOUS trimming, there are people champing at the bit to delete this article as pure fancruft, and those aren't helping. -mattbuck (Talk) 22:29, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Amphibious Vehicles Challenge: Redux[edit]

Added tags as necessary. I've seen the video on YouTube, and Clarkson states, indirectly, that he has a Nissan. In addition, it is not directly implied that May upgraded his Triumph Herald. For all I know, he bought a new one. This section has to be slimmed down. If we omit all these details, it should be enough. -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 09:30, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I remember it wasn't a Hilux the second time around, and a blog I found which almost transcripts it calls it a Nissank (and it certainly has a nissan badge on it). As for the Herald, the number plate was the same in both episodes (just checked - OSL 764) so I think it's fair to say it's the same car. -mattbuck (Talk) 10:02, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User:91.108.157.113, 91.108.142.20 - strech limo[edit]

Please stop adding useless details to the strech limo section. It is too much detail and unnecessary. You have repeatedly been told to stop. El Greco(talk) 21:12, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the person who has added onto the strech limo challenge. I ask this question. How come I can't add detail to this challenge when other challenges have lots of detail. Its not fair. For example the Amphibious car redux challenge has lots of detail in it. If that challenge can have detail in it then shurley the limo challenge can have detail in it. If you allow my edited limo section to stay I will not change any more challenges. I promiss. It's not fair that I can't do it and others can. Thanks for reading. Oh and I know my spelling in these senteces are terrible so don't complain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.108.171.164 (talk) 14:01, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is why: Wikipedia:NOT#IINFO and WP:MOSTV#Plot section. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, and plot summaries do not need to be filled with excess and unnecessary details. And, I don't care that the other sections have too much info, if user like you stopped adding all this unnecessary detail, we wouldn't be having this problem. El Greco(talk) 21:26, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about my unnecessary editing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.108.132.231 (talk) 09:37, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bigger challenges get own pages?[edit]

This is only a suggestion. Should some of the bigger challenges get their own page to free up space on the main article. Reply here please or on my talk page. I will also reply. Dennisman (talk) 17:50, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Copy edit[edit]

WikiProject iconThis article was copy edited by Macwhiz, a member of the Guild of Copy Editors, on 23 August 2010.

Completed a copy-edit. Mostly minor punctuation fixes, bringing things into line with the Manual of Style. Tried my best to avoid undue Americanisms not required by the Manual. There wasn't a whole lot that needed fixing, anyway. One change I did make: There were a number of <ref> tags used for footnotes instead of references. While that's okay, I used the <ref group="nb"> trick to move them to a "Notes" heading, so that the "References" heading isn't cluttered with notes. Anyone making future edits to the page should use that trick when needed, as well. Macwhiz (talk) 01:31, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cheap Trains section[edit]

Cheap Trains[edit]

In response to trains being expensive to build and Bombardier laying off half it's staff, they decided to see if it can be done cheaper, which involved a specially modified old Jaguar (the wheels replaced with train wheels) attached to similarly modified caravans, which comprised of First Class (recreating the "golden age" of travel, done by James May), Second Class, Buffet Car (both done by Richard Hammond) and "Scum" Class (which involved wooden benches, straw on the floor and an "outside toilet", done by Jeremy Clarkson), which failed to move due to the car not having enough grip, after an argument, Jeremy Clarkson decided to make a "sports train" (with one carridge), which meant the other two had to replace it with an old 4x4 Audi S8, which did get the train moving, their train was met with a number of setbacks, such as May and Hammond insulting each other over the intercom, noise levels higher than on a real train and difficulty getting the refreshments to the other carridges. The "sports train" has it's setbacks as well, as it was delayed by the original train, which involved an unpleasent incident with the "outside toilet" of Scum Class and his attempt to overtake it by switching to the other track resulted in a near collision with a oncoming real train. He eventually found a place where he could overtake the original train (by that time, the Buffet Car was on fire) and get to the finishing point first, as for the original train, the passengers ran out of it and the Scum Class carridge was destroyed by a train coming from the track it had derailed from. However, the review from one of the "sports train" passengers wasn't a good one. So neither of them won that. Series Seventeen, Episode Four

I've removed this section from the main page. It just needs some work, as it stands it's not good enough to be in the article. If nobody else does so, I'll work on it later, but don't let that stop anybody else, for sure. a_man_alone (talk) 16:28, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Middle Eastern Special episode number[edit]

The episode number for the Middle Eastern special is cited as being Series 16, episode three. However, I'm not certain this is actually the case. According to the Series 16 list of episodes, S16E3 is actually the one with the Albanian road testing of the luxury vehicles. I don't know what the actual number of the Middle Eastern special should be, as it appears to be the second Christmas Special of that particular year/season... but I don't think that Episode 3 should be the proper number. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.65.180.245 (talk) 02:08, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

007 Submarine Lotus[edit]

Why isn't the submarine Lotus from the, "50 Years of Bond Cars," special here. I'd like more info on that challenge.WertMooMoo (talk) 08:55, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
