Year built[edit]

The National Park Service site says that the Coxe was built in 1921, while the Mystic Seaport Museum and U.S. Army ships and Watercraft of World War II by David H. Grover say 1922. I'm inclined to go with the 1922. --Kevin Murray (talk) 16:24, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Construction dates detailed in Pacific Marine Review listings of yards and construction during 1922/1923. Speed not precisely specified, but suspect it is the Army's mph instead of knots. the value and unit is shown as "16 miles" loaded speed, so an exact conversion would be 13.9 knots. Information, with speed omitted, added 27 August 2014. Palmeira (talk) 19:53, 27 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
