Alternate Japanese openings.

There were, apparently, two alternate Japanese openings for the X-Men animated show. If you look hard enough you can find them on YouTube. Morph ?

Um, I also agree. We should expand this article with such information, and if that becomes too long, we split it into seasons. If the season info becomes too long for one article, we split those articles in episodes. This is generally how series are supposed to be done; see Talk:List of Justice League episodes. This doesn't mean we should add for the sake of adding, however. Plot summaries should be kept to a minimum. --Chris Griswold 12:42, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Why does more then 50% of this article exist out of lists? I think that the hero team and episode lists need to be moved to a seperate article/category, or at least spaced so they dont take as much room as they do now. Promotion in Australia

Before it was broadcast in Australia, the first episode "Night of the Sentinels" part 1 on vhs tape was included in an Xmen showbag in the 1993 Royal Shows across the country. These agriclulture shows attract half a million atleast in each state.Atirage 05:35, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

pryde of the x-men?

Background Error

In the first paragraph: "Despite its final new episode airing in late 1998 after 5 complete seasons, Fox did not remove the show from the line-up until 1998." It sounds like the author is trying to say that the show was kept in the line-up in reruns for some time after the late 1998 cancelation. I think the second date should not be 1998. Sabertooth / Graydon Creed Snr. / Victor Creed

In the episode where Wolverine infiltrates the FoH HQ, after Jubilee has been captured and taken there, he calls for Professor X to bring a portable cerebro unit, and when the unit is playing a holographic image of Sabertooth, you hear the Professor identify him as Graydon Creed Senior. Yet as is shown in this article, and the Sabretooth (comics) article, his name is Victor Creed. How should this be explained in the article? phalacee 07:56, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

This is either an error, or a device from the creators of the animated series for dramatic effect. Indeed, "Graydon Creed Senior" sounds far more imposing, and striking, if you watch the holographic image and then see Pop's lil' boy Creed lose himself into an outburst of rage much alike to Sabretooth's... It could also be explained that Cerebro is not a database but a mutant detector that operates on mental currents; it wouldn't know what Sabertooth's real name is, just that he was the father of Graydon Creed. Es-won 10:55, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

Reception

I deleted it because its completely irrelevant. What is the purpose of including the opinion of an artist who's so obscure, his wiki page is in danger of being deleted? He had nothing to do with the show or the unrelated batman cartoon mentioned. Even if his opinion was positive, and therefor an accurate representation the overall reception of the show, it would have no place in the article. You might as well write "My buddy down the block used to watch it with me and he once wrote a comic or 2 and I liked the tv show also. We also liked the old Superman cartoon. Here is a quote from my mom about the show.."

Please don't put the passage back. It's pointless. If you want to add a section discussing the reception of the show, then do so using relevant quotes and ratings data. I don't see what this guy's opinion has to do with anything.

In othe rmedia?

Is that giant list of video games necessary? Aren't they in fact spin-offs of the original comic property, and not the cartoon? I do not remember a single game drawing on the show - even the X-Men arcade game drew on the pilot tghat came BEFORE this show.Es-won (talk) 18:32, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Indeed, the only game that directly drew from the show to my knowledge is the Cartoon Maker. All others were based on the comic, most of the 16 bit ones using the at the time more popular "Blue Team" of Cyclops, Wolverine, Psylocke, Beast, Gambit, and Rogue. Most successful comic-adaptations?

Is it really true that Batman: TAS and X-Men: TAS are considered the two most successful animated adaptions of a comic book, ever? What about all of those anime based on manga, because I highly about X-Men: TAS and Batman: TAS reached the popularity levels of the top animes of all time? Or don't they count? I suppose that you can argue that DragonBall Z, Naruto, and maybe even Bleach were/are the most successful animated adaptations of a comic book(s), but I think that the word "comic book" is key here. Japanese "comic books" are referred to as mangas and cartoons as "animes" respectively, so I wouldn't class the two together. However, calling them the two most successful animated adaptions of a comic book is an OPINION PIECE, and really has no place in Wikipedia. Calling them reasonably accurate cartoon-adaptations of the comic books that they were based upon that drew in high ratings and merchandising profits (with appropriate sources) would be more fitting.

Morph

The idea of Morph was based on the canon Changeling from earlier X-Men books. Changeling has long since been deceased in Earth-616 (main Marvel) continuity, so they were able to use the same character, with a fresh slate. His popularity from the show sparked his usage in the "Age of Apocalypse" comic storyline, except with the cartoon-inspired "Morph" name. Hope that helps.
