No idea why it redirects here. Even if the Chinese pronunciation were (bizarrely) being used, it'd be Da Yuan. Gao Yuan was an entirely different legendary progenitor of the Gao clan.

The Chinese pronunciation of his name is Gao Yuan or Gao Dayuan, in which Gao is the family name. See Wikipedia's Chinese version. --Pengyanan (talk) 11:06, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
