A tag has been placed on File:Picture of YouTuber Emma Blackery.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please don't remove red links and interwiki links without good cause[edit]

Hello, 8oym8, welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for your contributions to Épuration légale. Unfortunately, I had to remove them, because they did not contribute positively to the article. Interwiki links to French articles are useful for many readers of en-wiki, and WP:REDLINKs are valuable to the encyclopedia in general. Please don't remove them without a good, policy-based reason. Also, can you please always include an edit summary with your edits? It's a way of communicating with other editors, how you believe your edit improves the article. Thanks, and happy editing! Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:NewPortcullis.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:NewPortcullis.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 19:03, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for File:Basingstoketownfcnewlogo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Basingstoketownfcnewlogo.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:30, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Basingstoketownfcnewlogo.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Basingstoketownfcnewlogo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 00:14, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

American politics discretionary sanctions alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 03:03, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File:NewPortcullis.png listed for discussion[edit]

Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Thank you. Frontman830 (talk) 13:30, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Anthony Fantano[edit]

Hi. I've reverted your edit to The Big Day (album). Fantano's reviews are largely considered unreliable, as noted at WP:NOTRSMUSIC, where three extensive discussions from the past are listed alongside The Needle Drop in the table listing unacceptable sources for album articles. A more recent discussion at the reliable sources noticeboard earlier this year can be found here finding that his reviews may be discussed on a case-by-case basis with discretion for inclusion in an article. Given these reference points, and that a third-party source noted Fantano's review of The Big Day in an article on the album's reception, I am restoring a very reduced and concise version of the prose summarizing the review. Notice

The file File:Arms-southend.svg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seems to be a blank image

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Liz Read! Talk! 02:14, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, not sure why it appeared blank when uploaded as when it was simply a file on my computer it was clearly visible.

November 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:28, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Ole Gunnar Solskjær, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Content not supported by source. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:36, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And the article literally says it needs to be confirmed by Glazer, so you're not reading i) the article or b) others' edit summaries. Seasider53 (talk) 23:43, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Of course it has to be officially confirmed, that goes without saying. Although it HAS been confirmed by extremely reliable sources (e.g. Fabrizio Romano). This is exactly why the 'current event' box exists in the first place. 8oym8 (talk) 23:47, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Have a link of Glazer saying he's sacked Ole? Not confirmed otherwise, per Het Graudian link. Seasider53 (talk) 23:50, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Again, I repeat my point, this is why the 'current event' box exists, by providing this infobox, one is essentially implying that the information present in the article is not necessarily set in stone. 8oym8 (talk) 23:53, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
