pacing speedies[edit]

when you place a speedy please first check that it actually meets the requirements in WP:CSD -- speedy for no assertion of notability can not be used if there is assertion of notability, as there is with even an article like Dennis R. Mortensen. In this case, it could be considered as self-advertising, and that is G-11, so I changed the tag. If no tag fits, then use PROD or AFD instead.

Second, remember to enter the edit summary , saying nominated for speedy deletion, so people can spot it. Additionally, always notify the guy who placed the article, using the semi-automatic method on the notice that appears when yo save the page. Keep up the good work spotting them! Sincerest apologies and should I contact you again I will via your talk page. Cool, glad to see we have something in common.

Can you please explain why you removed the image I place on the above article. To say that I am not best please about you describing it as "vandalism" is also a massive understatement. Please read WP:CIVIL.--Vintagekits 10:01, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No probs, I thought you had something against me - I wouldnt vandalise the big mans page. Infact I had a sparring session with the man - well thats an exaggeration - it last ten seconds and was more playful than anything - it was with Big Joe Egan. That reminds me I dont think there is a page on him. I will create one. You might be interested in some of the boxing articles I have created - they are listed on my user page.--Vintagekits 17:40, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why have you altered the changes I made? Have you even seen the Ruddock fight? You pose as someone who supports Tyson, but you're a wolf in sheep's clothing. Tyson had him down TWICE!!! AND HE WAS DAZED AND ON HIS LAST LEGS WHEN STEELE STOPPED IT!!!!! Get a grip dude and stop the distorting. Everything I said is completely accurate and a totally fair reflection of the fight. Stop the smear campaign. User:Edwardosaido 6:20 , 23 August 2007 (GMT)

I am a Mike Tyson Fan, however, I do not let that cloud my judgement. I did not know those were your edits because you didn't add them under your account name. I know your edits are in good faith but they seem to heavily favor Tyson. I would ask that you take a another look at the paragraph and ask yourself if it is truly neutral. We just need brief summaries, not a pro tyson fanboy play by play analysis. There are also errors such as listing Tyson as a super heavyweight and unnecessarily vivid language.--DreamsAreMadeOf 02:43, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just thought I'd let you know that your AfD nomination of The labor problem is incomplete. Squids'and'Chips 23:31, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rocky[edit]

Thanks for pointing out that my change on the Rocky article had been reversed. I posted in the discussion tab to discuss my proposal. If was you that changed it (only an IP address was listed so I wasn't sure) please respond to the discussion there. Thanks, DirectRevelation 03:15, 4 November 2007 (UTC)DirectRevelation[reply]

No, sorry I did not change that edit. However "and greatly revered by Santos Furtado" seems out of place. I read the discussion page and your info about the awards seems ok to me.Thanks ---DreamsAreMadeOf 03:19, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for Image:730.thm.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:730.thm.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talkpage. Thank you. OsamaK (talk) 06:34, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That is the original site I found the image on. I changed the notes on the image to reflect that. --DreamsAreMadeOf (talk) 05:13, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bling H2O[edit]

A tag has been placed on Bling H2O, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Coppertwig (talk) 01:34, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry if I was too hasty with the speedy tag. I was impressed how quickly you put "hangon"!! --Coppertwig (talk) 13:23, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, I just happened to see the csd tag right after it went up. Thank you. --DreamsAreMadeOf (talk) 19:53, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rumble74[edit]

Hi, I've added these accounts to your nomination -

N.B. WikiAlf's comments here: [4]

Geolocate indicates user accounts in New Jersey.

Cheers. A-Kartoffel (talk) 02:22, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads-up. --DreamsAreMadeOf (talk) 02:57, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I suspect User:Dan56 might also be Rumble74. The rapid fire multiple edits per article with no edit commentary is a give away. Might need an IP check. A-Kartoffel (talk) 09:52, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Is comcast.net based in NYC? A-Kartoffel (talk) 04:39, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
before Rumble started editing Ali, he edited many rap music articles without leaving editing comments, the same with Dan56. There is a connection with a rap artist Nas. A-Kartoffel (talk) 04:58, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

May 2009[edit]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to KTUL. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Deconstructhis (talk) 15:57, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. I know better than that. --DreamsAreMadeOf (talk) 21:06, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
