Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Eric Dill without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Jim1138 (talk) 09:45, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of ROCK 'n RETAIL, LLC[edit]

Deletion[edit]

I assume it was you that posted the objection to Web 'n Retail being deleted. First, please read WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Second, the Musebox article wasn't a good choice as an example, IMO. I've added some more tags to it, and I'm seriously thinking of proposing deletion. Please read WP:CORP, WP:SPAM and WP:RS about the reliable independent sources to prove the notability (that should be about the company and not an outside activity of the founder). (Musebox falls down on its referencing - two of my tags are about that.) BTW if you are querying something here, please sign in - it makes life easier for us if we know who we are dealing with. You can appeal at WP:REFUND (which isn't about getting money back...). Peridon (talk) 17:24, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Web n Retail[edit]

Hello Dwdimov,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Web n Retail for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ishdarian 16:10, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. September 2013[edit]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with this edit to Web n Retail. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. (tJosve05a (c) 16:33, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages as you did with this edit to Web n Retail. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. (tJosve05a (c) 16:35, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your last warning. The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Ishdarian 16:36, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Mark Arsten (talk) 18:00, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Los Angeles College of Music (LACM), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. LordFixit (talk) 12:19, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 21[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Los Angeles College of Music (LACM), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Steve Smith, Bill Stewart and Adam Rogers (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Hello Dwdimov. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "ROCK ‘n RETAIL, LLC".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/ROCK ‘n RETAIL, LLC}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 21:38, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Los Angeles College of Music[edit]

Hi! I saw this. Some replies:

  • We already have an article about that school. It's at Los Angeles College of Music.
  • Even if an OTRS ticket is received for the content at www.lacm.edu/about-us/, it is highly unlikely that any of it would be used in Wikipedia, as that is promotional material published by the school itself, and thus not the sort of content we include here; it isn't neutral, and, because it is self-published, it is mostly not reliable (those words have specific meanings in the context of Wikipedia, as you will see if you follow the blue links).
  • You could try contacting RHaworth, the admin who deleted the revisions with the copyvio content. But I imagine he will tell you this: "we don't restore copyright-infringing content" – because, clearly, if he were to do so, he'd be liable for the copyvio himself. He will see that I have mentioned him here, by the way.
  • The good news is that the content you copied is still available, on the website of the school, so it's not really lost at all.
