June 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Colonial Street may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • * [[[[About a Boy (TV series)|About a Boy]](2014 - Present)
  • ush/backlot/colonialstreet1988.shtml 1988 map of Colonial Street during the filming of the 'Burbs])

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 20:02, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit to Cheryl Cole[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Cheryl Cole, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Hi Ethan. Just a quick note, don't change her surname without first getting consensus on the subject. We've had four discussions in recent months about whether or not the article should be moved to a different title, but consensus at present seems to be to keep it as Cheryl Cole, which should also be reflected in the content. Hope this helps, and have fun editing. This is Paul (talk) 14:59, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Just an obserbvation, but why hasn't anyone changed her sername from Cole to Fernandez-Versini? That is her name and she has made it very clear that she does not want to be called Cheryl Cole anymore. (https://uk.celebrity.yahoo.com/gossip/omg/cheryl-cole---that-s-not-my-name---says-mrs--fernandez-versini-151141539.html)
While this is true it seems some people were too keen to rename the article and too many requests to move it were made too quickly. There is now a three month moratorium on filing any more. This is Paul (talk) 18:53, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

February 2016[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Gilmore Girls into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. KungAvSand (talk) 14:01, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Gilmore Girls: Seasons[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Gilmore Girls: Seasons. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Gilmore Girls. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Gilmore Girls – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. KungAvSand (talk) 14:08, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:06, 24 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Charmed The complete first season.jpeg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Charmed The complete first season.jpeg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
