Music of the Final Fantasy series (6th supplementary nomination)[edit]
Final Fantasy is a media franchise created by Hironobu Sakaguchi and owned by Square Enix that includes video games, motion pictures, and other merchandise. The series began in 1987 as an eponymous role-playing video game developed by Square, spawning a video game series that became the central focus of the franchise. The music of the Final Fantasy series refers to the soundtracks of the Final Fantasy series of video games, as well as the surrounding medley of soundtrack, arranged, and compilation albums. The franchise includes a main series of numbered games as well as several spin-off series such as Crystal Chronicles and the Final Fantasy Tactics series.

Now that Music of Final Fantasy XVI has successfully passed GAN, I'm nominating it as a GT addition to maintain the GT for the series music. --ProtoDrake (talk) 13:35, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

- Delegatee comment: Hi @ProtoDrake: this nomination is looking great. I'm wondering, can you add a short summary of the topic to the top (say 3–4 sentences)? You can see an example of one at Wikipedia:Featured topics/Jupiter. This is a new requirement for brand new topics, but it would be great to update some older ones if you have a moment. 1989 (album) (2nd supplementary nomination)[edit]

With the newly-promoted FA Welcome to New York (song) and two newly-created GAs Clean (song) and 1989 (Taylor's Version), this topic fortunately still satisfies the criteria of a Featured Topic, so here's the second addition nomination to formalize the inclusion of two new articles. OpposeIMO the new songs that are on the reissue ("Slut!", Say Don't Go, Now That We Don't Talk and Is It Over Now?) should be part of the topic. Armbrust The Homunculus 10:29, 20 December 2023 (UTC)- @Armbrust: They are part of the re-recorded album 1989 (Taylor's Version) and not the original album. They belong to separate scopes. Ippantekina (talk) 10:56, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose. If Wikiproject Albums want to be incomplete in their coverage of critical accolades, then fine, but it does not mean WP:FA and WP:Featured topics has to put up with it. User:HumanxAnthro (BanjoxKazooie) 17:52, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Can you kindly elaborate on how this topic is “incomplete”? Ippantekina (talk) 00:59, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
- Neutral comment The user "HumanxAnthro" has been indefinitely banned for their incivility. Ippantekina (talk) 03:23, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
- Comment from nominator I do not include the 2023 newly-recorded songs Slut!, Now That We Don't Talk, Say Don't Go, Is It Over Now in this topic. The reason is simple: they are not on the album 1989 which was released in 2014 (this topic's central article). They belong to 1989 (Taylor's Version) which is currently being developed into a subtopic at Wikipedia:WikiProject Taylor Swift. Ippantekina (talk) 02:19, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support. This is a full set, for the topic it purports to cover. Gog the Mild (talk) 21:44, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

- Support. All the articles look very good and well-defined.
- Gained (talk) 11:33, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support: I do understand the rationale for the oppose arguments, but I believe 1989 and the re-recording are separate enough to warrant separate topics. Having a separate topic for the re-recording with the songs released specifically on that album makes the most sense to me as I think combining everything together could be potentially misleading. Aoba47 (talk) 02:54, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Closed with consensus to add two new articles. Gog the Mild (talk) 16:58, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

Final Fantasy series (1st supplementary nomination)[edit]

- Contributor(s): ProtoDrake
This featured topic was successfully renominated in 2018 after Final Fantasy XV was brought up to GAN. Now, following a question about the topic's validity due to Final Fantasy XVI not being a GA after three months following release, it has been successfully brought through the GAN process. This nomination is to re-complete the topic, which has seen recent maintenance from various editors across the Video Game and Square Enix WikiProjects. Thank you to all who decide to weigh in on this. --ProtoDrake (talk) 21:27, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

Nebula Award (1st supplementary nomination)[edit]
This topic is already featured. It is being re-nominated to add additional items. See Wikipedia talk:Featured topics/Nebula Award for discussions of the topic's previous nominations. The additional items are:
This topic was made back in 2012 when I got the main article and (then) five categories up to GA/FL. Since then, two changes to the awards were made in 2019, which never got reflected in the topic: a category on Game Writing got added (FL'd this year), and the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association retroactively made the Andre Norton Award (FL 2012) and Ray Bradbury Award (FL 2020) official categories instead of the "other awards given at the same event" status that they had. Somehow I completely missed that the topic was getting out of date, so I'm fixing that now. I actively maintain this articles, so the topic should be good to go. --PresN 14:07, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
