Shahmirzad District (Persian: بخش شهمیرزاد) is in Mehdishahr County, Semnan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shamirzad.[3]

After the 2006 National Census, Mehdishahr District was separated from Semnan County in the establishment of Mehdishahr County, which was divided into two districts and three rural districts, with the city of Mehdishahr as its capital.[3]

The census in 2011 counted 16,782 people in 4,908 households.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 16,694 inhabitants in 5,695 households.[2]
