Cleanup[edit]

Spelling/Grammar Correction... this article was rather painful. Screen was spelled with three Es. I fixed what I could, but some things were a little unclear as to the best revision:

The gameplay shifts from top screen to bottom as the player's vertical positioning changes rapidly. Also, with the use of the DS' dual screens, players get a wider view of what's above or below.

Blaze gets Cream, who found her and earned her trust due to Blaze's lack of knowledge of Sonic's universe.

Incorrect Information[edit]

The two DS screens are used to double the display of the play area, joined seamlessly at the bottom of the top screen and top of the bottom screen.

This is not specifically correct, objects disapeer off one screen for a short time before appearing on the next. It's like looking through a window and having a bar blocking part of the view... but I can't think of a decet wording for this, hopefully someone else can. 58.164.95.96 08:02, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Excluded Characters[edit]

Amy Rose has gotten excluded from being part of this game. --ZachKudrna18@yahoo.com

Not really. --Alexie 05:48, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sol Emeralds[edit]

Furthermore, the article mentions that: The story involves Sonic trying to obtain the Chaos Emeralds as usual, while Blaze is trying to get the Sol Emeralds (which came from her dimension) to keep her world from being destroyed. while all other material I've read states that they both seek the Sol Emeralds. Not owning the game, I wouldn't be able to research the point myself. Sorry if I'm being a bit n00bish... Octavo

Good work Octavo, I tried to clean it up a bit more but more information is needed about the Sol Emeralds from someone who has played it. I think you're correct about the presence of only Sol Emeralds. - Squilibob 07:11, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
No, I definitely recall seeing map screens for both Sonic and Blaze, which had slots for the emeralds being collected; Blaze's looked entirely new (the Sol Emeralds, I'll bet), but Sonic's slots looked like they would hold the regular Chaos Emeralds. I'll have to dig up the images, though. --Shadow Hog 14:28, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Got 'em.
Exhibit A
Exhibit B
Definitely different emeralds. --Shadow Hog 14:42, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Looks solid... Score another point for Wikipedia over the gaming sources, I guess! Nice work, Shadow Hog. -Octavo 4 December 2005

Soundtrack[edit]

Shouldn't there be a little more info about the soundtrack? You know, like maybe an article about the Sonic Rush Original Groove Rush soundtrack?

I agree but I'm to afraid to edit the page. Theres a source thingy mabob here I think the tracks from the soundtrack have been updated to sound better than those on the ds version too.

I have a question. Why are there tracks with PSG in the title in the sound test (like what u need is psg, song 37)? Also, has anyone here heard the groove rush #2 (song 39 in sound test)? I haven't. Gatemansgc 00:00, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Done[edit]

I have added the info to Sonic DS here and removed it from the template. The article may be deleted. Grandmastergalvatron 17:45, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Box Art Trivia[edit]

I've noticed something interested and was wondering if it was good enough to be added to the already big trivia section. The art for Sonic used on the box art is exactly the same as on Sonic Advance 3, aside from differing positions of the arms. You can see that his head is exactly the same. Worthy of a mention? Hacking undone[edit]

Somebody here put on how to hack this game and current hacks of it. I liked it personaly, but who took it off? Maby not to the exact point of the game but it helped my in my attempt to hack this game. I think that part should be replaced. Also this page had some abbriviations and spelling mistakes I fixed. And Philtrauferson, that is up to the maker of this article.

                                  ~*~Tails Doll's Kid~*~

' "The maker of this article"? That's not the point of Wikipedia. It's not for someone to claim a page their own and revert any changes made by anyone else. It something that everyone can edit and add to, and that's how pages grow. If someone wanted to make their own article on a game, they should do it on their own webpage. Wikipedia's not the place. USPTO help[edit]

Is there any way to include a permanet link to the USPTO website? I tried to includea link to the trademark for "Sonic Rush Adventure" but it expired, so I was forced to include a screenshot of the website instead.

Huh? who removed the information about the trademark and why?

The Jeh-Jeh rocket[edit]

The article says that Jeh-Jeh Rocket says "Velveeta" but I always hear it as "Bahi-ah", or "Hanita" which is it? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.4.52.82 (talk) 17:13, 14 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Level order?[edit]

As Sonic's level order is different to Blaze's, would it help if there was a table of what levels are played in order? I remember that Blaze's first level was Night Carnival, but that's it really. --~~Neo 2.3 Hylan 09:12, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did it[edit]

Just because you asked I made a list in order--Gems777 (talk) 17:49, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review[edit]

This review is transcluded from Talk:Sonic Rush/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Hello, this is where I will be reviewing the article. All comments will be made here and if the review is not up by the end of the week it's because of school.--(NGG) 23:55, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Extensive Review[edit]

Infobox
  • The information about release dates since there aren't citations leading to release dates anywhere else in the article.
Lead
  • "respectively; to recollect the Sol Emeralds and Chaos Emeralds, respectively,"-Why is respectively used twice. Please rewrite that sentence for it to make more sense.
  • Though there is a link to the Chaos Emeralds, please try to expand on what they are. Watch your Jargon.
  • In the third paragraph, try to add some sells numbers or some scores from Metacritic and other Aggregate scores just to flesh out the paragraph.
    • Sales are now there; aggregate scores probably aren't necessary because they're basically reviews and as such are listed with them. Tezkag72 (talk) 21:34, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Gameplay
  • Try explaining what rings are and their influence in the game for those who have no idea about classic Sonic gameplay and have no idea about them.
  • There is a statement that says Blaze is stronger than Sonic, hope you have a link to back that up because the only ref I see to support that is a video that says no such things.
Plot
  • Overall, this section is pretty good source wise, but is pretty awkward at some points. For example at the end of the section says "Later, on Sonic's planet, Cream is crying because she misses Blaze, but Sonic tells her that Blaze promised to return someday (she does in Sonic Rush Adventure.)". Either take out the content in the () or merge it into the rest of the section to make it flow less awkwardly.
Development
  • "The demo was rendered in 3D and had detailed character models and backgrounds,"-Is there a ref to support that? If not, watch the NPOV.
  • " The game was canceled; then, Sonic Team began work on Sonic Rush. Developer Akinori Nishiyama said in an interview that Sonic Team wanted to make Sonic Rush two-dimensional, as the Sonic Advance trilogy had been, but add some three-dimensional elements."-This statement is very confusing. It sounds like your saying the game was canceled and then Team Sonic started working on it...yeah,you see what I mean?
  • Try talking more about developer inspirations for gameplay and try finding qoutes etc. to help flesh out the section.
    • All I could find was the interview with the developer Akinori Nishiyama, which was already in the article. I used a short quote from that. Tezkag72 (talk) 22:36, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sources
  • Try looking for more sources to add to the article, it uses a few sources about 12 times in the article.
    • I found an "overview" of the game from GameSpy and added it for two statements in the article, but I couldn't really find anything more. I don't think the article really needs more sources; the ones used pretty much cover everything. Tezkag72 (talk) 22:36, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Refs 6 and 7 are confusing and don't really back up the statements they are added to.
    • They're video game quotes. This form of sourcing is commonly used in video game articles. Tezkag72 (talk) 22:36, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Verdict[edit]

I want to give you the benefit of the doubt. If you think you can make all the improvement in 5 days tops, I will pass the article, but if you can't I will fail it. Good luck.--(NGG) 03:28, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA status[edit]

To maintain GA breadth, the article needs a lot of expansion in its Reception and a little in its soundtrack ([1][2]) and relation with its sequel. I am no longer watching this page—ping if you'd like a response czar 22:26, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
