Untitled[edit]

This article needs to be changed, there are not such thing as the Norwegian Fishermans Church. The real name is the Norwegian Sailor or Seaman church. Orginally intended for Norwegian seamans, working on boats abroad. Why should the fisherman have a church abroad they are not working abroad, but along the Norwegian coastline.

All listed buildings are considered notable from an architectural point of view. In this cases it would also be notable as unusual for a UK location to have a Norwegian Church. There are several guides to notability but usually if a government has considered it notable for some reason then it is notable on Wikipedia. One of the strange ones is that all A class roads no matter how short a considered notable because A roads are considered important.--Kitchen Knife (talk) 19:31, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Are all listed buildings really considered notable enough to have their own WP entry? The vast majority on the Listed buildings in Liverpool page don't have their own page for example. Whether it's notable that a Norwegian church has a branch in the UK is also debatable. Would it be notable if, say, Newcastle Football Club had a supporters' club branch in London? And would that supporters' club be deserving of its own entry here? The point about A roads is interesting in its own right, however.Ellwd (talk) 13:42, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at what a building requires to be listed then that is more than enough to make it on to Wikipedia. In the end perhaps all listed buildings will have articles but they have to be written and as it is difficult to get hold of the listing information from English Heritage it is difficult to where such articles should start. If you writte to EH they may send you the listing information. The Celtic and Rangers supporters clubs in Corby are notabler as they are the largest in England. Most CIties have Newcastle Supporters not all have Norwegian churches.--Kitchen Knife (talk) 17:40, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
